Of course, besides that blatant injustice, they're lying - it will be like the income tax that at first was supposed to hit only rich people.
Britain is a cautionary example for us - they have turned their back on our shared heritage of freedom. As Ray Davies said, "There's no England now." |

There is NO WAY the establishment can keep this up, they simply don't have the mass support, and those who do support are imbeciles who will not stand up for their beliefs anyway. I give then 6months to a year, and their rule will have collapsed. VICTORY!!! |

These sick, old European countries are running off their best, brightest and productive, keeping the most envious, demanding and dependent, and attracting poor immigrants which will, in short time, loath their new homes.
America is just a bit better off. We have other states with nullification movements to flee to, we have a tradition of fierce independence and moral compass, and unlike the nationalistic general-public (if not the fossil-aristocracy), Americans are, relatively, far more racially tolerant of ambitious immigrants than Europeans. |

Makes sense since soon enough we won't be able to use our money to buy foreign energy resources. Could they be doing this to avoid panic and keep faith in central bank notes? Just a thought though, probably just looking too hard for where they are going with this. |
| Posted 11/14/09 03:32 AM illuminati hater Las Vegas, NV | Every American--no matter what political ideal they identify themselves with--should be outraged by this. Once people begin to realize that they're going to have spend money to live in their own home (stove, washer, etc.), they're going to go crazy. I mean, come on: I need to pay in order to live? That, my friends, is micro management.
Another worry is how this is going to hit businesses. How much money are small businesses going to have to spend to use the tools that give productivity to the consumer? What happens when they can't pay for the credits? Are they going to be shut down just because they can't pay for the equipment they've already purchased? Combine that with Cap and Trade, which will murder factories, and you're looking at economic disaster. |

ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS |

:P tongue in check |

England wake up. A line has been crossed. We will not see this happen in my state. |
