| Posted 11/06/09 09:30 AM BruceLayne Lexington, KY | How can these elected clowns possibly justify this sort of redistribution of wealth? They give $8000 to first time home buyers by takig it from, at best, our children and grandchildren. Considering the rate at which our nation's debt is being monetized, the money for this ill-conceived and anti-market program will be stolen from all of us in a year when our currency experiences hyper-inflation.
Then they introduce a similar program to give $6500 to homeowners who have been in their homes for five years. What do they have against relatively new homeowners? Why no money for them? Why no money for renters? Or the increasing numbers of homeless? Or will there be another program for them in a few months for some half baked political reason? Either we believe in the free market or we don't. Given all of the economic stimulus money and the programs to artificially distort the market in the direction the short sighted federal government wants it to go this week, we don't believe in free markets at all. We believe in socialism, redistribution of wealth, and central planning by government bureaucrats. Welcome to the USSA. We've seen this pattern throughout history so we know what's coming. Next stop - food lines, government price controls, and rationing. |
