You know, if the government hadn't stepped in to prop up the other failing auto companies, Ford *would* be hiring more people, because they'd be the only American auto manufacturer in the country. |

We have plenty of roads and rail to handle industrial output, which is down. Let's see the industrial output first put pressure on those systems and then let the free market handle the construction where it is needed. How can you build new roads and bridges before you know where they are needed? It's a logical absurdity. You can guess, but why guess when you can know for sure once the free market has figured out what we should making and where? |

How the heck is Ford Motor Co. expected to hire anybody when they are being forced to subsidize two of it's competitors? This story puts the whole Auto Company bailout fiasco in the spotlight, Ford which takes no bailouts is doing fine while GM and Chrysler with the bottomless pockets of tax payers continue to slide, so thanks the Uncle Sam us tax payers got to invest our money in the worst of breed auto companies so we could bail out the unions. To add insult to injury thanks to Joe Biden we've been forced to invest in a new auto plant in good old Joe's home state to build crappy "green" cars that nobody wants to buy, I guess they're hoping that Cap & Tax will pass and make gasoline so expensive that they'll stimulate a demand for these pieces of garbage. Anyways good for Ford! even if they did ride the wave of tax payer subsidies for their cars ("Cash for Clunkers"), I'm glad that they're doing OK since I certainly will never buy a GM or Chrysler product. |

And the ones who mismanaged their finances. THAT is what causes businesses to fail, and patching them up with more money is not going to fix the elitist mentality that exists at the corporate heads of these companies. What a miserable failure those bailouts were, as if we didn't see that coming. Now, while I'm so happy I can't keep from smiling all day long at the thought of my tax money going to this wonderful cause that helped out so many people...I still don't own a brand new car, domestic or foreign.
Remember how eloquently the Duplicitous Despot put it, "This bailout will be GOOD for America..." or some such nonsense. Sure, Mr. President. I get it. Just go right on saying that, cuz that's what the teleprompter tells you to say! And what all the special interest money paid you to say! Watching him lately, I can't help getting the impression he's on some sort of mind control. MK-Ultra, maybe? But I digress. I certainly hope that with the endless string of broken promises that Obama is laden with--or rather, what we, the voters, are laden with-- the starry-eyed, teared-up, deliriously happy acolytes are starting to wake up to just what a liar and a crook this president is. "Obama noted last week's announcement that the economy grew at a 3.5% annual rate in the third quarter of the year, which signaled the unofficial end of the deep recession."??? He "noted" this? Who announced that? What a lie! What an absolute lie! The recession does NOT end until PEOPLE are back to work, earning money! Understand, you idiots? Who writes this stuff? (Cliche) *sigh* The economy is going to collapse, and the Dollar is R.I.P., folks. |

That won't happen. We think we can have our cake and eat it. |
