| Posted 10/28/09 07:45 AM smukie waterford, WI | I can relate to the limiting ones consumption of meat since I am vegan. My own health was the major choice in my decision to go vegan. I do also acknowledge the environmental benefits that can come with it; however, I think that is blown out of proportion by people like Lord Stern-which will damage any credibility to it. Sadly I feel that is the problem with many of the environmental issuses. That's another disussion though...
Now how can someone like Lord Stern say all of that when he isn't even a strict vegetarian himself? Heck, why are they stopping at vegetarian anyway? Might as well just push for everyone to be vegan... My diet is my individual choice though, and it should not be forced upon others. |

They probably also push the antiquated viewpoint that 'fat is bad'. And no distinction is made between raising meat on factory farms vs. small farms with better environmental practices.
