| Posted 10/27/09 09:27 AM fadestyle Walnut Bottom, PA | well we have to weigh, is it more courageous to just resign so some other crooked guy can fill his shoes or is it more courageous to disobey an unconstitutional order and not participate there?
i support the troops not the fighting and killing of innocent military Americans and innocent non American people. I say fighting because we have not declared war yet so its all unconstitutional. |
| Posted 10/27/09 09:41 AM etanafon Manchester, NH | fadestyle,
I agree this is all unconstitutional. But 'brown people' is a little weird, isn't it? Are no Americans 'brown'? Conversely, can everyone in the Middle East be described as 'brown'? |
| Posted 10/27/09 10:47 AM Ken from CT Milford, CT | Yes, I agree, that is courage. To not keep the cushy embassy job to stay in line and rather, display some real morals, is indeed courageous. |
| Posted 10/27/09 10:49 AM fadestyle Walnut Bottom, PA | If you look at the middle east. I think you could accurately say "there is alot of brown people that live there." we are not going to argue colors, its irrelevant. Not only is there all colors of Americans being killed in this unconstitutional over extension of our empire fighting but many innocent afgan "brown" or "nonbrown"people being killed... for what reason? Are there people attacking our troops there? YES. But why? Do we ignore blowback? Do we ignore the fact that if china was here on our soil killing Americans, wouldnt it be accurate to say groups of patriots would not assemble and fight to remove the "occupation" ? |
| Posted 10/27/09 10:53 AM fadestyle Walnut Bottom, PA | i think the question is not whether it is courageous, but what would be the most powerful courageous action? Stand up and directly disobey an unconstitutional order... OR just quit? |
| Posted 10/27/09 10:57 AM fadestyle Walnut Bottom, PA | regardless i think he sided with his morels and couldnt do something wrong and it was indeed the right thing to do.
I was debating what could be done to invoke maximum constitutional effect to help influence others. If he stands, disobeys the unlawful orders, guards his position blocking other corrupt people from entering his position... others will stand too and do the same. dont get me wrong i honor him for not participating. GO OATH KEEPING TROOPS! |
| Posted 10/27/09 12:42 PM Glenn Cumming, GA | Sometimes, not being able to sleep well is the most important message to ourselves that we are not acting correctly.
I wish Hoh many restful nights and that he finds solace in knowing that many others in the Killing Brigades are reaching the same conclusions as he. The U.S. invaded and occupied another country, has been murdering civilians, and then turns around and calls the locals objecting to this tyranny insurgents. And please, no crap about retribution for 9/11 - that event does not stand alone nor justify the horror that the U.S. has sowed in Soutwest Asia. Just like the sinking of the Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, Gulf of Tonkin, O.K. City bombing, sinking of the Maine, people were duped into supporting and engaging in advancing the power of the state. Courageous, yeah. But will he call for the immediate exit of the U.S. military from the occupied countries? |
| Posted 10/27/09 8:09 PM JimMN Eden Prairie, MN | Men of honor and reason resign, leaving only scoundrels and thieves in their place. |
| Posted 10/28/09 11:56 AM fadestyle Walnut Bottom, PA | JimMN... I agree |
