Honestly, he is doing our job for us. Probably by 2010 and definitely by 2012, people are going to get fed up with these bogus politicians. When you take away their jobs and their food, people will start to wake up. Not even the 24/7 britney spears american idol cnn marathons can suppress people when they can't eat. I embrace all of Obama's terrible ideas because he is going to be our number one recruiter for the upcoming elections. Let's face it, it has to get terrible before it is going to start to get better. If this bailout wouldn't pass, it would just be terrible idea #2. This is why I celebrated when Obama won the presidency, because I too have hope... for very very different reasons than the people who voted for him though haha.

"But at this particular moment, with the private sector so weakened by this recession, the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is the only entity left with the resources to jolt our economy back into life. It is only government that can break the vicious cycle where lost jobs lead to people spending less money which leads to even more layoffs."

Wow...and it's mostly the fault of the Federal Government were in this mess in the first place. The destroyers are our saviors????

More mind control for the masses.

What does he mean the only entity with resources? The government has no resources, atleast financially unless paper and green ink is a resource.

^ A New World Order puppet, all puppets!

"The list of notable personalities who have openly referenced or called for some kind of global government or New World Order is extremely lengthy. Are all these people "kooks" or "conspiracy nuts"? Why would world leaders--including presidents, secretaries of state, and high government officials; including the media, financial, and political elite--constantly refer to something that doesn't exist? Why would they write about, talk about, or openly promote a New World Order, if there is no such thing? ..."

Nice to see Charlie Christ mentioned; my state Governor who put a rate freeze on the private insurance market, now causing State Farm to non-renew all homeowners insurance policies in the state of Florida….That’s over $1 Billion dollars in premium, the majority of which will probably have to be absorbed by the state insurance company. (Which has the luxury of applying an assessment to every homeowner in Florida to maintain lower rates, a luxury the private market doesn’t have)

Now he supports the Obama’s Stimulus plan…good thing my state elected the conservative Republican into office. (Insert sarcasm here…Chuck is no conservative)

I’m starting to think Bill Nelson would have been a better choice, he at least voted against the Bush Bank Bailouts….both times…nice job Democratic senator.

How about giving back the resources they've been stealing for the last 96 years.

Yeah, what resources? He never ever mentions what resources he is talking about. Is he talking about money? We all know that America is bankrupt. I am starting to think everyone in this country knows what is going on and they are watching the politicians on TV for entertainment. It is pretty funny to watch them beg for public support and twist their words to make illusions. The time has come for our revolution! Thanks Obama for making our jobs easier ;-)

The title alone caused my brain to blow a fuse. I didn't read the article because the amount of rage I would feel would probably shave years off my life. Is it really so difficult to see that this Keynesian economic policy defies reality in every sense, and that even the smallest application of rational and critical thinking would debunk the efficacy of everything that this current administration is advocating. Public office and public policy are about instant gratification, never thinking beyond the short term. The solution to the economic crises is LONG TERM, and that is why any and every hands-on solution that our public officials propose will fail! THE MARKET IS THE ANSWER! WE ARE THE MARKET! A FREE MARKET IS THE PROJECTION OF THE UNREGULATED CHOICES OF FREE PEOPLE!

Obama's team just announced a new bank bailout, this time it's 1.5 trillion before adding pork.

After watching the press conference last night, it became very clear to me that Obama has no idea what he is talking about. He is just regurgitating the same crap that his "advisors" feed him. He knows absolutely nothing about economics, but at least he listens to the people around him. He thinks these people are professionals and has no idea how completely insane their ideas are, so you can't fault him too much for making these absurd propositions. He is just Bush minus overt the arrogance.

I am very sorry for the United-States people (I don't want to say simply Americans, because it implies that only people from the US are american and that Canadians aren't) that you have such a mule-headed president.

I saw in the News today that Obama said "It seems to be growing, like there's no solution", but yet he keeps throwing all this money at the problem.

It reminds me of that Simpsons episode when Lisa compares Bart to a hamster. When the hamster gets electrocuted trying to grab the food, he stops and tries to find a way around it. But when Bart gets electrocuted, he keeps trying the same thing over and over, expecting different results.

The US gov. is Bart, in this case. I feel very sorry for the world. Brace up, it's gonna be a pretty hard 2009.

Mr Obama is correct...only Government can break the cycle of job loss. The only problem is he did not read Hayek's analysis of the business cycle and the cause of the business cycle. Government interventions cause the business cycles and job loss.

They want to break this streak of job loss? Cut taxes, stop incentives for companies who operate over seas, take care of American's. Cut taxes. Look at the FDA: worthless, the FED: Worthless. Look at all this crap that takes our money and for so long we (or most of us anyhow) have just said its part of being a free country. Sorry, so pissed off I can't even think of all the stuff that pisses me off...

Spread the word, the more people that see this socialism for what it really is the better the chance of stopping and over turning it.

Can anybody say dear chairman maobama?

"the federal government is the only entity left with the resources to jolt our economy back into life."

Alright, the only resources the gov has is the resource it's able to create...debt.
I was watching cnbc the other day and a guy named marc faber came on saying that the US is going to see a 200% inflation rate due to the fact that we arent even using keynesian economics. This is a style called zimbabweism. print, print, print, until the problem is fixed. Everyone I know is in agreement with obama...there is a crisis but everyone I know does not agree with the way he is trying to fix it.

I honestly would love to know what is going through his mind right now. And what is honestly in this bill that he is pushing to get passed. Its almost like he is trying to become a dictator. I dont really see him as that type of person but...dear chairman maobama anyone?

I managed to get a post in the CNN blog for this article, where I said there's 2 ways to stimulate the economy, 1) cut government spending and 2) eliminate government regulation.

Then someone made a reply, to educate me that "this is not about government deficit, it's about the economy!" Serious, those were her exact words...

Who is sitting in the office of the President of the United States of America?

The Indonesian that we imported, or is he Kenyan?, seems to have been travelling around the country doing television ads for the international bankers, or writing op-ed pieces for a rag.

What have we been charged, so far, for the travel expenses for this nincompoop?

Got an answer?

Obama: 'Only Government' Can Break Cycle of Job Loss, Economic Downturn.

If I accept this, then I have to accept that government controls just about everything. Oh wait they do, so then this problem must be a result of government, oh wait it is.

Never mind nothing to see here move on.

Conspiracy theory: They want to crash the dollar as a means to rush in a new world currency.

Reality check.... they have now idea what they are doing and it is a whole lot of hot air.

Either way, we are in for some serious hurt. At least gold and silver are doing nicely.

Let's pick a book that explains the economic 'fix' we would prefer and mail it to Pres. Obama. I am sure he reads and it will give him something to compare Geithner's prattle to. I think it will be worth the $3.00 to send. Perhaps a copy of the US Constitution would be good as well...one that will fit in his pocket so he can refer to it easily. I think he needs a little help, so let's get to it.
