Last week I contacted both of my Senators and requested that they suspend all work visas (such as H-1A, H-1B, H-1C and L-1) until the U.S. job market improves. With more than 15 million unemployed Americans currently looking for work, there most likely is a qualified American to fill almost all of the few open positions that companies are currently trying to fill. The person I talked to in Sen. Specter's office thought this was a good idea and said that the Senator would write a response to me. The person I talked to in Sen. Casey's office balked at the idea and said that Sen. Casey would not be supportive of this idea since many other countries also have high unemployment. I then asked her who the Senator was representing - the residents of Pennsylvania, the unemployed in other countries, or the well-connected corporations that are too addicted to cheap foreign labor to hire a qualified American? And she replied that we have responsibilities to the global community. This is one of the many problems we have with our government - our elected representatives often do not represent the vast majority of their constituents, but march to the tune of big money interests. |

And, there in, lies the problem. Does the politician represent us or the "New World Order"?!! After reading that, I would say that Mr. Casey needs another job, representing the NWO, not the US! He sounds like another incumbent, who should be gone! |
