http://www.fema.gov/media/fact_sheets/nle09.shtm (some facts) "NLE 09 is a White House directed, Congressionally- mandated exercise that includes the participation of all appropriate federal department and agency senior officials, their deputies, staff and key operational elements. In addition, broad regional participation of state, tribal, local, and private sector is anticipated. This year the United States welcomes the participation of Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom in NLE 09. "
Please take some time to look this stuff up. I have posted a couple of useful links on July 27-31, 2009. There is much more to the story. Drill "exclusively on terrorism prevention and protection, as opposed to incident response and recovery." This is a national level exercise(NLE). National emergency, biological and or terrorism prevention exercise, catastrophic crises ranging from terrorism to natural disasters. It has been reffered to as martial law drills. This is the sort of exercise our governments were running while the planes were hi-jacked on 9/11. I am not blowing a panic whistle or advocating any kind of interference during this exercise. I do think this is something worth looking into and watching very closely. please post any useful information you may have about this drill. I hope they do not include my neighborhood in this drill though my understanding is that this will be nation wide large scale drill involving the media and internet. I will have my camera fully charged to try and get as much local documentation as i can.
This seems to be the trend with our currant government. I've been telling my friends for several years that they have been laying the stage for this kind of thing. My intuitions tell me we will be seeing a lot more of this kind of thing.
Maybe just coincidence, while driving in my car today, on a public road, I pulled my car to the side of narrow dirt covered road to allow 2 armoured Hummers to pass. They were both displaying large machine guns manned by solders on top. I have seem a great increase in military in the area over the past couple months.

Recently there have been several court cases in reguards to Obama's citizenship. There aren't many people that question whether or not the president elect is an American citizen. However there are many people and courts that question whether he is a "natural born" citizen. As this would affect Mr. Obama's eligability to serve as commander in chief. It is clear in the Constitution that in order to be president one must be a natural born citizen. My understanding is that Mr. Obama has spent a great deal of money to have these "full length documents" kept out of the courts and the public's eye. Anyway, I'm not writing today to pass judgment on whether or not he is a "natural born citizen", born on american soil or to two American born citizens but rather to try and understand the steps Mr. Obama and fellow democrats are prepared to take to make some small changes to the Constituion in order to accomodate. In order to stop massive civil unrest, which is what you would most likely have if the courts ruled Mr. Obama was unable to serve because of his degree of citizenship. There are some other "small" changes they would like to make to the Bill Of Rights which is exactly what would happen if 34 states were in favor of calling a Con Con. 32 states have called for a Con Con already. The problem is that once one is called there is no limit to what can or can't be amended. The entire B.O.R. can be amended and re-written so that not to be "flawed' as Mr. Obama clearly states that it is. In the past, people use attractive reasoning to try and assemble a Con con such as to balance the budget, to re-write the 2nd amendment, to limit hateful speech, or even to ban flag burning. All it takes is for one delegate of this convention to call out amend the 2nd and it's fair game....in a democraticly controlled house. It would be argued by some that what I speak of is speculation and it is. But it is based on fact history. At the least be enlightened on constitutional law and the ideas of our founding fathers. I strongly recommend watching a video, Beware Article V, and passing it on to your friends. This is very important stuff that we will be hearing much more of in the coming months. pt.1 http://w ww.youtube.com/watch?v=za8_pdJ1dPo pt.2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =flHJrcdfbBg &feature=related pt.3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly1Lh3bqtYM&a mp;feature=r elated pt.4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5jKAlgvCgg&feature=rel ated

I would like to take a minute and express my disgust for what I've been seeing in the news about Gov. Rod Blagojevich scandal. I've noticed that the media has already convicted him in their own testimony that they are shoveling down the American peoples throats daily. They say that he "sounded like a crime boss" in the secret recordings of his conversations. I understand that president elect Obama has denied any involvement in the actions of this governors alleged illegal activity and even calls for Blagojevich to step down from his position. I joined in to a conversation at my local gas station about this matter with some of my local neighborhood coffee drinkers early the other morning while on my way into work. It seems that people are outraged at Rod Blagojevich's behavior and want to see him "hang". They say he was caught "red handed". Now, I don't know about how much of those recordings they had the privilege of actually hearing, maybe a few seconds or maybe a few minutes of it, but I have heard NONE of the recordings of his illegal crime. There are some of the transcripts that have found their way to the internet. Lets assume for a minute that this man is 100% guilty...what about this mans rights? He does deny the charges and last I knew he intends to fight the case and try to save his reputation. The president elect to call for his resignation is disturbing for me. As the president is expected to protect our rights and liberties. This includes the rights of the accused. The right to a fair trial. The right to a defense. How is this man expected to get a fair trial when Mr. popular, Obama , says that "it is a sad day for Illinois" and that Blagojevich should step down as governor. I find this outrageous. It seems this man is already tried and convicted by Obama and the media. If you ask me this guy is doomed whether he did it or not. These same accusers told stories of Iraqs weapons of mass destruction and said that the government "bailout" was completely necessary for our economy to survive. I'm not saying that Rod Blagojevich is not guilty. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he is every bit as guilty as most of our crooked public officials. However, I would like to have seen Mr. Obama stand by the side of the Bill of Rights and not participate in this sort of circus show on our televisions. But this kind of thing and the amount of coverage it's getting in the media doesn't surprise me. Especially with them pushing forward with globalization, nationalization of the economy, destroying the dollar, and the carbon tax they need in order to fund the destruction of the American dream, our soveignty and the rest of our liberties. I hope we as a nation wake up to what is going on here today before it's too late.

lexslexus Moorhead, MN | Thank you for the reminder. I too was caught up in the outrage (justifiable if he's proven guilty) and tying him to Obama (which may also be true). But you're absolutely right to resist the urge to throw the stones before the government proves its case.

it is my understanding that vermont intends fully to impose the real i.d. on it's citizens. this is very troubling for me. I know that this will have no effect on "the terrorist" ability to wage war on the people of our country. it is very similiar to something hitler did in war time germany. there were check points and people were required to carry their "papers" in much the same fashion we will be required to carry our real i.d. I understand our good neighbors in new hampshire voted not to participate in this national i.d. card for good reason which gave me some degree of hope. there are many reasons i know of that make it a bad idea which i can go on and on about but my intention is not to bring a sense of dread and impending forced compliance. i understand that my family will not be allowed to board and aircraft, cross borders, hunting licenses, ect or even have a bank account without this new i.d. card with an undefined amount of personal information on it. our four fathers would be turning in their graves. i do believe that the Bible warms about this type of thing. i would like to inform as many vermonters about the intentions of the government with this program. i'm sure there must be many more people that feel the same as my family and i do about this issue. maybe if we could get enough people to contact our local representatives about this we can stop it from being fully imposed. i strongly urge my friends to research this issue along with nazi germanys attempts to fulfill this agenda in the past.

I wonder about the results of the election. I've been listening to many local people about their views on the election and who they are voting for. I voted for Baldwin like many RP supporters did, I know of at least 4 others in my town alone that said they voted for Baldwin. Then I listen to a crowd the day before the election at a local coffee hangout in town. Mostly people saying that they aren't to happy with their choices but most were voting for McCain in order to "stop" Obama. So I go to the official ap site and wait for the results to come in. Not even half the vote counted and some close races in a couple states and McCain gets on TV and admits defeat. hmmm? So I go to my state on the map and go in for a closer look. .1% Baldwin in my county. and Obama by a large margin. Seems like most the people talking around town were lying about who they intend to vote for. In my neighborhood I'd guess of those who had signs in their yard just over 60% of them McCain signs. I know it wasn't likely for RP or Baldwin to win so I don't like to think of myself as an unexcepting loser but I'd really like to take a look at those ballots. I'm also very surprized of the results in NH. I mean wow. I was wondering if the ballots are reviewed by a machine with an electronic eye, like s.a.t. scores. I was thinking about that as i sat down to shade in circles on my ballots with black pen. If that is the case I'm sure these vote counting machines are "secure" maybe protected my microsoft products

Steven Howard Mount Holly, VT | The security of those S.A.T. Scoring machines that most towns use is suspect at best. I am not saying that Obama didn't win. What I am saying is that vote shaving is entirely possible. As an example, when my town was given the "option" to purchase an optical scanner with money provided by Montpelier, the town government was excited and more than happy to accept the option. At the Selectboard meeting, I asked questions concerning issues of vote verification, the secrecy of copyrighted software, and machine security, but I was dismissed.
Last Monday night, I attended a meeting of a civic group at the Town Offices. I was surprised to find that the optical scanner was not only left out for anyone to have access to it, but that absolutely no security was in place to protect the scanner from tampering.
The next day, I asked the town clerk when did they test the machine and was told that they tested the machine the day before with test ballots given to them by the software maker. I then asked how I can be sure that my vote was counted accurately. She responded by saying that when the little light turned green, my ballot had been counted. "Yeah, but counted for whom?" I countered. She just shrugged her shoulders and said, "I assume the person you voted for."
Since the 2000 elections, every attempt by the Fed's and the State to make my vote count has only contributed to obscuring whether that is true or not.
Two simple and easy reforms that would go a long way to insuring vote security would be:
1) Hand Counter paper ballots; and
2) Timing Presidential, Congressional, State, and Local elections for different days. Ie. November 4th for the Presidential election, December 4 for Congressional Elections, etc.
That way we have an easy ballot to read and count. |
