I posed a question to a friend of mine the other day. "I wonder when the last time was, that the US had a president who didn't order some sort of military intervention?" A simple question. Well, I found these handy website to answer my question. The link is:

I have to say I was not expecting such a long list, but of course, I am not surprised. What really gets me is the intervention into Latin/South America. The violence that was propagated by the CIA, through funding death squads and the like, while not completely unknown to me, still caused me to choke up occasionally.
It's strange, I am an American going to school in the UK, and tonight there was a 'forum' on the US election. One of the speakers made the claim that, when it comes to foreign policy, there a real differences between Mr. Obama and Mr. McCain. He then proceeded to come up with zero ways, other than how McCain is personally belligerent, as to how they differ. I actually laughed out loud a bit, receiving a few unfriendly looks from the people nearby.
What interventions will be added to the list in a McCain or Obama administration? How many more people will die from the abuse of our tax dollars?
