I know C4L cannot endorse any candidates but I would like to make my suggestions and let you do your own research into these candidates. These candidates are the ones that are mostly aligned to the constitution and are for limited government and individual freedom. Many of these have a slim chance of winning but remember that every vote counts so don't put off voting this election. This is a very important election. I like all your choices except for one: Mike Villines...although he promised REPEATEDLY that he would never vote to raise taxes here, he ended up voting for the BIGGEST tax increase California ever saw! Please reconsider voting for Brian Fitzgerald instead.

I will have to disagree with you on Prop 16 and 17. 16 is funded by Big Energy and will simply keep them in place in California as a State-run and subsidized monopoly. Need to de-regulate energy in CA. Prop 16 IS A SCAM, GOVERNMENT ALREADY RUNS ENERGY IN CA. This will only protect the monopoly.

Prop 17 is funded by Big Insurance, they are simply trying to find more ways to add regulation on top of regulation to steal more money from our pockets.

Both of these proposition will result in LESS FREEDOM for Californians.

Please DO NOT, under any circumstamces, vote for Orly Taitz. She will bring dishonor to our cause if she's nominated and obtains a public platform - especially a Republican platform - for her disgraceful conduct.

I live close to her and I've had an opportunity to witness first-hand her bizarre behavior in both courtrooms and public appearances. She seems to be trying intentionally to bring disrepute to the Obama opposition.

I, and many others, entertain serious doubts about her motives and allegiances. Lawyer Leo Donofrio, who has been leading the charge for us to find Obama ineligible based on Constitutional grounds, cut off all communications with her after his suspicions were aroused - after he tried, and failed, to guide her to file her suit in the proper venue.

(At one time I had volunteered to help Orly in her office and innocently emailed Leo asking him if he would talk to Orly to advise her. I then learned of his failed attempts to do so that seem to have been intentionally sabotaged).

Of course, her case was subsequently dismissed - no surprise there. See Leo's post explaining that Judge David Carter was correct and did not have "subject matter jurisdiction."

Most troubling of all, Judge Carter took seriously the sworn affidavits he received that she suborned perjury. And his colorful description of her courtroom antics doesn't begin to describe what an embarrassment she is.

She recently appealed to the United Nations for protection from persecution in the United States. How bizarre is that? Getting the picture?

Do you want this person even to be identified as a Republican, let alone have a Republican platform for her views?

All liberty lovers who believe that taxes are theft please do not vote for Mike Villines for insurance commissioner. This RINO is the reason Californians had the largest tax increase in the history of the United States. Villines needs to be retired for the deal he brokered with Bass and the rest of the Democrats in Sacramento, this is also true for Abel Maldonado who is running for Lt. Governor, These two need to be RETIRED!

We can no longer continue to allow politicians who go back on their words especially on a NO NEW TAX pledge. MIKE VILLINES NEEDS TO BE RETIRED, I do not know who his opponent is but I am going to vote for Brian Fitzgerald in the primary because I believe that is the only way to bring political pain to Villines for what he did

Have to agree that Mike Villines is not an honest person. He clearly lied,
and joined people he vowed to fight. Abel Maldonato did the same thing.
They pledged to stand firm against the tax increases, right to our faces!
Orly Taitz .... Will have to seriously reconsider! I thought she was honest
in bringing suits on Obama's legality. Then I heard her interviewed!

In spite of Ms Taitz's idiosyncrasies, I refuse to vote for Damon Dunn, formerly a recently registered democrat, clearly a political shill for the establishment. Brought in by the GOP leadership, if he had a shred of credibility or a voting record, I'd pull the lever for him. But he doesn't, so I won't. He is quite literally just a name and a face.

Thank you very much Richard and Jim,

A very clean and respectful commentary, down to earth and honest. There is much I agree with you on all fronts and would hope people want to get together and get these political biases changed to reflect the people’s real desires. I am not talking about those who have no desire but rather the people who do.

I very much agree on the Bills of Rights which for me are the clearest part of the Constitution, but there are many parts that are not, nor were they intended for me or I would understand them easily. At least Amendments 1 through 10 seems simple enough past that one can get lost easily. I personally do not blame those who wrote it; on the contrary, our Government run or influenced education systems are the source well before my time but runs into my time and today as well.

The other part that is not clear to me at all is the process to hold those accountable for not upholding the Constitution and our Bill of Rights.
I see no clear path in simple form that describes it clearly or I am sure it would have been done long before now. How do we enforce it, it is ours and the states. But many of the states themselves are so memorized by all this money they can spend so they blindly run like rabbits to the feeding bin.

One of the very things I have spotted is there is no validation process to verify such things are being done or not done. No measurement of success or failure for which to determine any direction. I also found this left out of our education process on purpose which allows secrecy itself to be the tool for no accountability, and to flounder about as you speak of because they have no clue.

Although I will say this, the money trail can and will shine the light on those who are taking advantage of us as it should.

I do agree with you both that we should focus on the Document at hand and better yet I believe it needs to be made very clear so any normal human being can understand it with ease. I say for the first time we need to have a Republic as defined with no rebuttal. I cannot find where this was done in its entirety.

There is a lot of talk of Anarchy as being the way with out Government, I do not agree or disagree with the logic of what is being communicated but I do think that attempting this would be detrimental on a large scale and refuse to see this kind of activity. I believe the shortest route and cleanest is to clearly define the Constitution so that no confusion can be implemented. Make it clear, easy to understand and well defined so even the elite will have no way of perverting it.

I do know this, that if you clearly define the map the objectives can be meet by determination and persistence alone as proven by other completions in our time. All things unworkable can be changed to work using the tools necessary for design and refining.
These are statistics of each product by monitoring progress or its failure, the verification it took place and the Validation it is real and done or not done. These are all instrumental in any activity period.
Nothing can be corrected without first monitoring what is failing. It needs to be caught before it is a total shut down. The bubble bursting and all this drama is only an affect of something else, what is it?

I am very much with you guys and look at this as a great starting point and we should work to bring all the groups together to focus on these efforts to stop People in Government from destroying our Documents any further. It is not Government; it is people in Government using it as a shield to cover up its very own corruption.
We are the people being used like Pons in a chest game and we are not at all.
We are creative productive intelligent beings with a purpose to expand life and not control it. Life was not meant to be controlled it was meant to be experienced and this can only be done with the freedoms to do so period. Over size Government is a hindrance to this life because the desire is to take rather than to give.

Let us assume for the moment that it became revealed that Barak Obama was not a natural born citizen of the United States, proving that he was ineligible to be President of the United States. Ok, now what? Would Obama be removed from office? Perhaps. Then what? Joseph Biden would be our next President. Ok, then what? Would the United States be freer? Would the States and the people regain their sovereignty stolen by the federal government? Would America's form of government revert back to its original nature and character of 1787? Would self-government, the consent of the governed, limited government and federalism once again become the guiding principles throughout these states united? Would the ideals and principles of freedom once again become popular, accepted and advanced by the people and their agents in government?

Since the Confederate States of America lost the war in 1865 against the union-destroying aggressions of Abraham Lincoln and his military, the federal government has egregiously encroached upon the powers and sovereignty of the people and the states respectively. Regulations, controls, taxation, deception, falsehoods, subterfuge, "bait and switch" have all been the norm. Thievery under "color of law" has been their modus operandi. Through myriad usurpations, all three branches of the federal government have suppressed and oppressed true freedom throughout these states. It has, through masquerade and fraud, turned our original federal form of government into a national, seemingly-all-powerful empire. It has overtaken virtually every major element of society. It has bribed (and in some cases, forced) corporations, churches, states and citizens into giving the federal government our own powers and resources, with the promise of giving them back, of course, at our expense and with their demands. The federal government has unjustifiably entangled itself in the affairs of foreign nations, corporate elites and bankster mobs. It owns major media, education institutions and religious minds across America. In essence, it has created a seemingly impenetrable matrix of fraud, deceit and corruption, Republic or Democrat in the White House notwithstanding.

Despite the well-intentioned efforts and thoughts of many in America who feel that removing Obama from the Presidency, based upon constitutional grounds (i.e. Article 2, Section 1, Clause 4), will somehow restore freedom to America, this simply is not the case and entirely misses the true crux of the problem. Do not misunderstand what I am saying: most certainly the constitution should be followed, and we the people of the states and the state governments should insist on it. No one believes that more than I. However, this fact must be realized before freedom will ever show its face again in America: the federal government (and those who control it) is not salvageable; its usurpations and encroachments are treasonous; its blatant unconstitutional actions have put the people of these states in a state of war; and without true revolution, freedom will never be restored in America.

The federal government-and by current default, the states-operates under a system and form contrary to freedom as expressed in America's Declaration of Independence. It operates under the form of government which history proves is the enemy of a free republic. It operates under the very form of government that our founders rejected in September 1787 and that the ratifiers of the constitution rejected thereafter. It operates under a top-down structure, whereby the states and the people are mere subjects and corporations of the centralized head-the very form our founding generation seceded from in 1776. Freedom's current plight in America has little to do with Obama being illegitimate as the President and has everything to do with the people of the states being controlled by a governmental system we never created or approved.

Even a brief look at recent history will reveal the numerous examples where the people have attempted to hold the federal government accountable to the constitution. Yet, that same government is more powerful and corrupt than ever, and the people and states are weaker and more oppressed than ever. It would not matter in the slightest if Obama were removed and replaced with Biden, Pelosi, McCain, Bush, Clinton, Gingrich, Palin, Scarborough, or any other eligible President. A new President would no more change the form and system of the federal government than would pumping trillions of dollars of tax payer monies create a stable and sound economic system in America. Just as America's paper currency (the dollar) is not backed by a solid foundation (e.g. gold-silver standard), so too the executive branch of the federal government is not backed by substantive principles of freedom.

Make no mistake about this: there has not been a United States President elected since 1861 that has advocated for the true principles of federalism and freedom, and both major political parties have only cemented and built upon the previous President's legacy of federal power at the expense of the states and people. If you think that freedom will be restored because a Republican who claims to be pro-life, pro-family, or pro-business sits in the White House, you are mistaken. If you think that Obama's true birth place being revealed will restore all that we have lost for over 100 years and will somehow decapitate the head of the beast (thereby granting victory to "conservative America"), think again.

Those who have controlled the federal system have shown their intent of ignoring, demeaning and contradicting the United States Constitution. They care nothing of it, and only lead us to believe they do just to get elected. As Nancy Pelosi laughed when recently being asked the question, "Does the constitution grant Congress the power to pass the national health care bill?", she only illustrated both the latent and patent practice and philosophy the federal government has possessed for generations. Do we need any more evidence at this point to conclude that our federal government is unconstitutional in its actions, powers and intentions? I think not. The only question is, what do we do about it?

In 1776, the delegates from the colonies met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in attempts to rectify the unconstitutional political actions of their national government. Like many of us today, they knew the designs of their government to reduce them to submissive slaves; they knew their government overstepped the authority given them by the consent of the governed; they knew that their government had committed acts of "repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States." So, what did they decide to do? Replace their king with a new king? Use the court system to invalidate the illegal actions of the king? Use parliament to address their grievances to the king? Try to establish that the king was not of the hereditary lineage legally capable of being king? Wait until a new king would assume the throne to accomplish freedom? None of the above.

Instead, our founding generation secured the blessings of liberty by doing what all free peoples decided to do throughout history when confronted with the evident intents of tyrannical government: they became independent from the source of tyranny. They declared their natural right to govern themselves. They formed and constituted government by and on the consent of the governed. They ridded themselves of the entire system of the "long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object [which evinced] a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism." They became independent and sovereign states!

You claim to love freedom: you do well. But freedom will never be restored by replacing Obama with Biden, nor will it be restored by establishing that Obama is not legally eligible to hold the executive office. You claim to love the constitution: you do well. But the constitution will never be restored until the principles, form and system it created are restored. You claim that Obama's birth certificate is crucial in restoring freedom? Your thoughts are likely pure, but your focus is misplaced. There have been open and notorious unconstitutional actions forced upon us by the federal government over the past 140 years. What makes this particular issue the winning contestant in restoring freedom?

Moreover, where are those in the federal government also demanding what you claim is so crucial to restoring the constitution? Where are those in the federal government demanding that the federal government give the states and the people back their money and power? Where are those in the federal government demanding that the tenth amendment be adhered to? Where are those even considering running for a federal position who preach and practice concepts of federalism? Where is the federal judicial system that even understands what federalism is and is willing to contradict ninety years of court opinions and rulings that have virtually stripped states of their retained rights under the tenth amendment? Where are the federal political statesmen who proclaim that the federal government be resisted by the voice and the arm of the states, as Alexander Hamilton explained? The answer is, no where!

The questions that should be asked are the ones whose answers provide real solutions to restoring our Confederate Republic. The solutions sought should not be ones whose only end simply replaces one quarterback for another; yet all the while, their team continues to control us by insisting that we play their game by their rules in their (home) stadium with their referees, all of which are controlled by those sitting in the glass boxes overhead who smoke their cigars, drink their wine, play with their whores and laugh at us as we drudge through the game thinking that we are gaining ground when we lose only ten yards instead of twenty. As Thomas Jefferson wrote, "such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government."

Our methods of change are proven ineffectual, the expressed terms of the constitution notwithstanding. It is time for a different course of action-a course that has already been given to us by principle and practice. It is time that we the people of the states think in the pure political and philosophical terms that formed our country and secured our freedom in 1776. It is time that the states of this country reclaim what has been taken from us and to reignite the flames of independence and federalism which will cause freedom to burn brightly for us and our posterity for years to come.

there is no "silver bullet" that will make America suddenly free and great again. It will take hard work, sacrifice, and a lot more than getting Obama out, but it is easy to overlook that sometimes, we tend to focus on the here-and-now and not the long-term. Thanks for posting! Timothy Baldwin is almost as great as his dad!

During these past few months, Congress has been debating the issue of the so called "free" government healthcare.

 The fact is, is that there isn't such a thing as "free" or "lower cost" healthcare. Everything comes with a price. Nothing is free.

 The government tries to make you think that you will get something for nothing. In reality, this is just a fallacy. In one way or another, taxpayers will pay for government-run healthcare.

 There are a few options the government has to pay for "free" healthcare:

 1. they can raise taxes

 2. they can print more money (which is reality is a tax. Inflation = tax)

 3. or they can increase the debt (which is reality is a future tax also)

 

As you can see, there is no such thing as "free" healthcare. It comes with a price.

 The government has recently unfolded a new plan to takeover healthcare. The plan is over 1,000 pages long and will accomplish these things:

 1. Healthcare will be provided to all non-US citizens. You will pay for someone else's healthcare on top of your own!

 2. A government committee will determine what benefits and treatments you get.

 3. Anyone who does not have government approved healthcare will be taxed 2.5% of his income.

 4. Any non-resident alien is exempt from individual taxes. (Americans will pay for their healthcare)

 5. "The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as a tax."

6. Cancer patients and their treatment will be rationed!

 7.  The government will regulate purchase and rental of power driven wheelchairs.

 8. The government will tell doctors how much they get paid.

 As you can see, government takeover of healthcare will result in the loss of quality and the increase of costs. This can only hurt the economy.

 In his weekly internet address Obama stated: "We must lay a new foundation for future growth and prosperity, and a key pillar of a new foundation is health insurance reform." He also stated (speaking of rising unemployment): "We must rescue our economy from this immediate crises. We must rebuild it stronger than before".

 What Obama does not know is that the government can do nothing to rescue the economy. In fact, all they have been doing is contributing to the economic downturn. He does not know that healthcare reform will only worsen the economy by intruding into the free market.

 We cannot let this happen. We must fight back against healthcare reform. If we need anything, we need free healthcare. Not "free" in the sense that it doesn't cost money, but free from government regulations. If there is anything government can do better it would be to be less intrusive.

 In 1824 Thomas Jefferson said, "I think we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industries."

 When Jefferson wrote these words, the federal government has only about 8,500 employees; today it has well over 3 million. I wonder what he would think about us today. I wonder what he would think about Obama's so called "free" healthcare.

 I wonder what Thomas Jefferson would think about our wandering from the Constitution. We have ignored his words when he said, "Only lay down true principles, and adhere to them INFLEXIBLY." (1816) The true principles of the U.S. Constitution have not been followed inflexibly.

 Will we take a stand for freedom?

I'd like to point out that Harvard is one of the most liberal colleges in the US. In the words of someone who attended Harvard, "if you asked the professors there if socialism was a good plan, 90% would say absolutely, 10% would say it wasn't enough." And that's where our president was educated. On this other hand, this bright young student thought on his own, he didn't have info shoved into his head by professors, he figured things out on his own. Don't you think people said that in 1776, "The arrogance of these people from America--they think they can challenge the king? They think they're wiser than he is! What arrogance!"
Btw, that was the reason Thomas Jefferson died broke, slavery doesn't work and it wasn't profitable, and people were figuring it out pretty quickly.
Individual rights will solve the needs of society, there is nothing more important to the development of a society than for all members to enjoy individual liberty.
"But be sure that the education is not provided by a biased and narrow, single source!" And you don't think that public schools are slightly biased and narrow?
