I recently moved from Spokane to Missoula and am looking to continue my efforts for liberty here in the area.  Though you may not know me, I'm well known amongst the movement in Spokane and throughout the states of Washington and Idaho.

I was a primary coordinator for the Ron Paul meetup there and was nicknamed a "mover and shaker" amongst the group.  I coordinated dozens of meetups, held banner wavings that drew 40+ people (even in freezing temperatures!), coordinated canvassing efforts and was responsible for hundreds of sign deployments.  I also managed a significant effort with the logistics, strategy and coordination efforts for the Washington State Convention.  Beyond that, I heavily assisted with the training and preparation of the Idaho State convention delegates and state coordinators for their efforts.  I was also the elected as republican precinct committee officer for my precinct and I intend to run here in a couple years, provided any potential opponent doesn't share our planks.  I proudly served as an elected county and state delegate for Ron Paul in the Spokane County and Washington State republican conventions, as well.

With all due respect to Montana's efforts, Spokane was responsible for obtaining 107 out of 111 state delegate positions for Ron Paul, the highest percentage in the nation.  We also saw a 47% county wide vote for Paul.  Despite heavy opposition and highly questionable tactics from party leadership at the state convention, we were able to pull out 10 delegates and alternates for the national convention.  Our tireless efforts definitely paid off and for the first time in my life, I absolutely saw my personal action manifest itself into a real, tangible difference.  I also met and worked with some of the most fantastic people I've ever met in my lifetime.

I bring a lot of skills to the table and would like to see the liberty effort thrive in this community and throughout the region.  I think this movement has potential here in Missoula...despite it being heavy on the democratic side.  Though I'm libertarian/republican minded myself...to coin a phrase...democrats need liberty, too.

If you're interested in getting together & discussing how we can further the liberty movement in Missoula...feel free to get in touch with me through the CFL message center or by visiting my website & choosing "contact me" at the top.  If you're a precinct leader within the movement, you should have access to my telephone numbers.

Change...Looks The Same To Me!I’ve been meaning to get the time to comment on Obama’s recent choices for his cabinet appointments.  Things are shaping up exactly how I thought they would.  The power circle will remain with the reigns of the “haves” that always have.

First, and probably foremost, we can’t ignore the Secretary of State position that has been offered and accepted to none other than Hillary Clinton.  While this makes some of those rabid leftist Clintonites happy, I’m sure…this is a very clear throwback to not-so-way back.  ‘Nuff said.

Next in the line up, Eric Holder…appointed to Attorney General…who’s history as #2 in the Clinton Justice department is another clear regression back to Clinton era politics.  Here we have a guy who advocated the pardoning of Marc Rich, an international commodities trader who was convicted of tax evasion and illegal oil-trading with Iran during the Iranian hostage crisis.  A man who clearly respects the law, I’m sure.

Then of course we have Biden’s Chief of Staff, Ronald Klain who served as Al Gore’s Chief of Staff.  You starting to see a pattern here yet?  Klain also acted as one of Fannie Mae’s political lobbyists.  Nothing says “insider” like a reprise act…this “change” is starting to look like margarine vs. bovine growth hormone infused butter.

John Podesta, head of Obama’s presidential transition team, served as Clinton’s chief of staff.  Mmmmm…margarine.  He’s also the CEO of the liberal think tank American Progress who ignorantly blames Bush for our economic woes, yet also promotes and advocates tax-payer bailouts.  Apparently they haven’t done any historical research and they believe that such things actually work.

Oh, and to fill the “change” out even further, we have Rahm Emanuel as Obama’s chief of staff, who conveniently served as one of Clinton’s advisers.  Next up, Greg Craig, who formerly represented Clinton in his many legal troubles.  We’re also going to see further former Clinton team members in Obama’s cabinet, such as William Daley, Carol Browner and Federico Pena.

It was once said that, “There’s nothing new under the sun.  There’s only history you haven’t learned yet.”  So true that is.

“All truth passes through three stages.  First, it is ridiculed.  Second, it is violently opposed.  Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.”  -Arthur Schopenhauer

Welcome To The New World OrderI’ve been talking about “world government” for almost a decade now.  At first, I met a high degree of scepticism and disdain…people called me a conspiracy theorist or a nut.  Later on, it became a concept that was tangible to the people - they could see it, but outright denied it.  Now, it would seem that the people and the media have outright accepted it’s plausibility.

I have noticed an alarming trend, as of late, that these ideas of global governance are now being widely reported in the media.  People are seeing how we’re facing a near perfect storm for such a thing to come into the light.

I suppose the concept of global rule, to some regards, is nearly inevitable.  As our economic and social backgrounds become ever more blurred through the advancement of technology, it becomes logical, if not even sensible, to embrace others around this world in common cause.  Anyone who’s read H.G. Well’s, “The Open Conspiracy” has likely gotten a good dose of the human-centric idealism that a lot of pro “one worlders” have in the back of their minds.

When thinking through these concepts with a critical eye, however, one must recognize some serious faults with the destruction of nationalism.  Is a homogeneous culture really beneficial to human kind?  What happens if one power gains a foothold and turns sour?  Once we traverse into this realm of unified governance, how can the people resist an oppressive regime?    How do we avoid the inevitable political and social conflicts that such a plan will create?  What if a mistake is made…is it too much to affect the whole world?  These are just a handful of questions that come to mind.

The following article, from the highly respected Financial Times, is a must-read for anyone that cares to know what’s going on.  I felt it to be an honest investigation into the plausibility of the plan to create a new world.

As I mentioned [on my blog] last week, I traveled up to Helena, MT yesterday to attend the “first ever” organized national protest of the Federal Reserve bank.  It was an opportunity to stress our concerns over the ever mounting national debt, the countless corporate bailouts, and other issues facing the economic state of our country today.

I had a great time.  About 30 people gathered at it’s high point - not bad considering that many had to travel several hours there and back just to be there.  There were dozens of hand made signs - saying everything from “End The Fed” to my sign, which read, “Wake up.  You owe THIS bank $35,000.00!”  I had several folks comment that they liked my sign and an attending family voted it as “the best.”

Despite our efforts, it wasn’t possible to get local news media down there.  Apparently, nothing happens in Helena on Saturday or Sunday…so the news crews just simply don’t come to work that day.  Even if it means breaking the biggest story of the last century - “Private federal reserve bank steals trillions from American taxpayers.”  Oh, well.

The response from the area was mixed - a large majority looked on in a confused state; looking at our signs and then looking at the bank with the words “Huh?” going through their minds.  Some were very supportive…honking and waving at us…some even making a second trip to amplify their support.  Then there were the two who apparently didn’t understand what we were protesting and opted to give us the one finger salute.  They must’ve thought we were protesting the war or something.  We were able to distribute literature to quite a few stopping cars.  One of the young & spunky gals was marvelously effective at shoving bags stuffed with good info into closed windows on vehicles.  Nonetheless, it was a great opportunity to get the message out and I’m certain that at least some people are better off today because of it.

As for me, I’ll definately be there next year on 11/22.  And I hope in the coming year we can rally additional support and get hundreds of folks out there.  I’m certain that if the economy stays on it’s current track, by this time next year a LOT of folks are going to be pissed off enough to do something about it.

I came to Montana to pursue a job transfer...though I've personally wanted to live here for years. It was a perfect alignment of personal and professional goals.

Thanks for welcoming me with open arms! I love Ron Paul people! I hope to kick some butt in 2009!

With all the buzz about the possibility of Ron Paul deciding to run again in 2012, I thought it appropriate to create a web banner!  I am proudly displaying it on my blog!  I know, it's a bit early...but he says that he'll make a decision by middle of next year.  Let's make sure he knows were behind him!

When I found out about this, it almost felt like when I discovered that Ron Paul was coming to my town and it dawned on me that I'd be on the "inside" of his reception.

Ron Paul's thoughts on the upcoming G20 financial summit.  I found his remarks interesting, as always

It will be interesting to see if the central bankers decide to monetize some of the debt by increasing the value of gold.  Us gold owners would stand to gain alot.  Even if 20% of the US national debt were monetized by increasing gold prices, we would see gold at over $10,000 an ounce.

I'm waiting with baited breath for the news to come out of the G20 summit in a day or two.
