I am a believer in free will, the God-given right of every man and woman on the planet to choose the life they so choose as long as their choices do not directly harm or prohibit another flesh and blood human being from living the life they so choose. This is the reason I have "shown up" so often for causes related to liberty, the constitution, free markets, Ron Paul, the Campaign For Liberty, tea parties, and creating a government that truly serves the people.
I pledge to work tirelessly to promote the cause of the Campaign For Liberty so long as its focus remains to spread the principles of constitutional government, personal liberty, and principled integrity! I do not take this pledge, this task, lightly! I have not made a similar commitment to the Republican Party, nor the John Birch Society. My political passion lies with the Campaign For Liberty!
Let us work together friends and fellow patriots, for liberty!

As a people, we have taken great strides in the election year of 2008 towards instituting a Constitutional government! It will be our duty as Americans to hold all our newly elected politicians, including the new President elect Barack Obama, accountable to their Oath of Office to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States of America. With our administration's endless wars, endless empire building, endless spending, endless bailouts, endless trampling of individual liberties in the name of endless fear, and all the freedoms we have enjoyed since our country was founded being at stake, there has never been a more important time for us to hold our politicians accountable to their Oath of Office!
The election year of 2008 has been a spectacular year for Constitutional awareness! As Americans, we have all benefited from the bid for the presidency by one candidate in particular. This candidate embodies integrity, and gives a candid viewpoint every time he opens his mouth, never settling for words that are most popular. He has made it completely obvious that his first priority is to the American public, not corporations, not individual or special interests, not empire building, and not a world order. He has preached the importance of a Constitutional government, and has inspired a large movement of liberty loving individuals that have campaigned on his behalf, and on the behalf of every American whether they are aware of it or not.
The presidential candidate I am speaking of is Ron Paul, and thanks to this noble man and his selflessness, there is a larger awareness of the importance of getting back to constitutional principles now than there has been for decades. For a "government without a constitution is power without a right" (Thomas Paine)
Ron Paul has inspired a new organization called Campaign For Liberty. I am very proud to be a member of this organization of the people, by the people, and for the people! If you have not already done so, please check it out and join the Campaign For Liberty if our cause resonates with you! We are going to be a relentless voice of liberty in the political climate from now on, and will inspire constitutional action at all levels of local and federal government.
Thanks for the contact request. If you want to build the membership of the C4L and build yourself a new platform to preach its virtues, check out what we're doing in the Lunch Revolution.
I am proud to be a Texan, and I am Texan proud to have a principled candidate running for Governor in the 2010 election! I must admit, I am very dissappointed with the way the Bush appointed Rick Perry has acted throughout his terms as Texas governor, and his actions and disregard for the Constitution while in office make it impossible for me to vote for him! Sure he got awefully constitutional and soveriegn right at the end of his latest term, but so does every other official when nearing the beginning of another election cycle! That said, I have zero tolerence for this regular practice of so many politicians, and I can only cast a vote for someone I truly believe is full of integrity...regardless of so called party lines! I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to hear Debra Medina speak many times. What is absolutely clear to me is her allegiance to the Consitution, her conviction, humility, principle, and her abilities as a leader! If you are a Texan, I hope you will educate yourself before casting your vote, and it is my hope that you will cast your vote for the principled Debra Medina! Thank You!

Friends,
I read a story not long ago that meant a great deal to me, and I suspect it will ring with your heart as well. It is related entirely to this topic. So please read this story and see if it influences you one way or another. The story is posted in my blog, and it is titled "Davy Crockett vs. Welfare" Once you click on "View All" of my blog, the story is on the first page.
I am a big believer that the answer to all of the problems our country is faced with currently is to return to the basics. Our country was founded by our founding document, The U.S. Constitution. I believe that all the answers are there, but we need to follow this document that founded our country, word for word, in order to remain the free and prosperous nation that we have always been.
I believe that step by step, administration after administration began to interpret the meaning of The Constitution as it benefited their particular agendas, and often times passing new legislation that completely contradicted the clear meaning of our sacred document as it is written. One prime example is the "Patriot Act."
So in my opinion, the answer for all our current issues is to get back to the basics of how we are to run our country, the basics laid out quite plainly in The Constitution. We can get back to the basics by repealing all the "unconstitutional" legislation that was passed over the years, thereby removing all unconstitutional powers passed to the federal government (especially the executive branch) and returning all rights to the people.
This happens by all of us doing our parts, familiarizing ourselves with The Constitution, and by looking over the shoulders and making regular contact with our politicians making sure they know we are watching, and that they are following their Oaths to The Constitution, the Oath that all of them took as they entered their respective offices.
The Constitution lays out exactly what powers the three branches of government have. Nowhere in The Constitution are powers extended to the Congress that would allow the Congress to bailout failing businesses with taxpayer money. Because of this fact, I have been completely against all bailouts from the beginning. Had I not read the story "Davy Crockett vs. Welfare" before the bailouts began, I would not have familiarized myself with The Constitution as it is written, and would have likely drawn my own conclusion without consideration for The Constitution like so many people continue to do. Don't forget, The Constitution is our founding document and more than anything, lays out exactly why we are a free Republic made up of a natural free people with God-given rights protected by The Constitution.
So that is all I wanted to share with you. Thanks for reading! I just wanted to put that out there so that you would consider it as you draw your own eventual conclusion as to whether newly proposed legislation by the various branches of the federal government such as the economic stimulus is "right" or "wrong". From now on, please ask yourself if the proposed legislation is "constitutional" or "unconstitutional".
