My journey here to Campaign for Liberty started about three years ago. It started with a little series of books (Uncle Eric) written by Richard Maybury which I picked up when considering home educating. The series covered Economics, Law, Politics, Media and Foreign Policy; really, it was a primer on the Austrian School of thought. The reason I mention this is to give credit where credit is due. Dr. Paul had given endorsement to one of the Uncle Eric books which I happen to be reading about the time he was running for President. I watched the Republican debates, did some reasearch on Dr. Paul, and by March of '08 I was hooked on his message. Thankfully, California allowed me to write in Ron Paul's name for President. My conscience felt so pure. I intend to further this liberty movement in whatever way I can, starting with my own family and my closest friends. I am thankful that some have joined me and I am thankful for the new friends I have made here at C4L. To all of you working so diligently for liberty teaching your children and active in your communities, I am truly grateful. I am a Christian. I am happily married. We home educate and we love it. I have a passion for reading and learning in general, painting and being creative, gardening and growing, and justice and liberty issues, especially human trafficking. I have also come to cherish the idea of freedom of conscience. Lastly, I believe that prayer is the unseen activism of any movement. Conscience is the most sacred of all property. James Madison LIBERTY Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. 2 Cor. 3:17 It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Gal. 5:1 JUSTICE He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8 You shall appoint for yourself judges and officers in all your towns which the Lord your God is giving you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment. You shall not distort justice; you shall not be partial, and you shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous. Justice, and only justice, you shall pursue, that you may live and possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you. Deut. 16:18-20 PRAYER Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. James 5:16 You can do more than pray after you have prayed, but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed.... Prayer is striking the winning blow....service is gathering up the results. S.D.
