Well, that was distressing. But at least he holds out the hope that it will all blow up and then we might have a chance to employ a little common sense.
It just comes down to people. Forget the labels! It is those who derive their livelihood/wealth through the productive means vs those who derive their livelihood/wealth through the political means.
They didn't have the guts to trash talk Dr. Paul to his face, but at least they were more respectful than the CNN lady. Maybe they will go and read up on fractional reserve banking and how the Federal Reserve System accommodates the fraud.
I don't know who the two who trashed Paul during the primary are, but if it's these guys, then they've made a pretty big change.
I liked this interview a lot because I think it demonstrates pretty well how our principles are at the core of everyone, and people who are liberals, conservatives or whatever can all get behind these principles. I also think that we can see in the way these guys talk, that not only do they not fully understand what Paul is saying, but once they do and it clicks, they'll agree.
A good moment was when they were talking about how we need more regulations and not less. Paul was discussing how a free market is the best regulator as long as there's no fraud. The guy just didn't get on board with the idea that the market will self regulate. But then at 8:30mins into the interview, Paul explained about fractional reserve and how that's the fraud that needs to be regulated. Only then it clicked for the guy that we're not talking about anarchy here, but a rule of law that's fair all across the board.
So what I'm trying to say is that our principles should and can apply to everyone.
Oh ya, these are the same guys who mercilessly pursued the "Ron Paul is a racist" garbage, routinely attacked Ron Paul's supporters, all while acting as if their ideologues and demi-gods were perfect.... And yet they didn't have the guts to come out and try any of that in this interview.
Bigjohn, I certainly agree! The reason why I like Ron Paul because he's the only one thinking out of the box compared to everyone else who's still inside it.
Before I met Ron Paul, I was a progressive liberal, born from the anti-Bush era. In fact I was the Obama-turned-Paul supporter! However, Ron Paul educated me over certain issues that I've never really learned about like the economy. And slowly, over time I came to accept the Austrian school because it started to make sense.
There was another interview a while back with Naomi Wolf and Lew Rockwell and she's was basically getting a lectured from the interviewer!

So yea, the message clicks subconsciously! It'll just take a while to re-educate the conventional wisdom of today.
