My name is Christina and I am a new member of Campaign for Liberty. I was never particularly interested in politics and rarely watched the news for the matter, until about a year ago a friend of mine introduced me to the story behind the Federal Reserve. Once learning the truth about the Federal Reserve System I was completely shocked and disgusted. This got me interested in other goings on in our government and tuned me into the alternative media. If you want the truth, that is where you will find it. It sounds crazy to some when a person who rarely watched the news got so involved and interested in politics, but it's not crazy at all, I WOKE UP!!! The mass-media's portrayal of a free and strong nation during a time of crisis and depression has got to make you stop and think, what is REALLY going on? WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! Now I am learning more and more about the freedoms and liberties that are being taken from right beneath our noses and it has to be stopped. Having two small children, I am doing everything in my power to try and save their future and the future of our country. I am part of a group that meets every Saturday to discuss current events and brainstorm ideas to become more active in our community. This group has been growing and we are now all becoming members of C4L to make an even bigger impact our area. Every bit of information that we can get out to the people who are going on with their every day lives, while their freedom is in jeopardy will make a difference. Information IS the answer... and Ron Paul IS Right!

H.R. 1207 is up to 109 as of today... as of yesterday it was up to 100. This is growing quickly, but unfortunately Aaron Schock's name is STILL not on the list. I urge EVERYONE to call the Peoria and DC offices again today... let's inform them that there are now 109 co-sponsors and that we are still EXPECTING him to sign on and join the other Illinois Representatives that are supporting this bill. There is bi-partisan support so far and this has a real chance of passing.... keep up the work...we will NOT let up on this and the calls, petitions and letters to flood his office until we see some action from Aaron!
Representatives from Illinois...

Call Aaron TODAY!!!

Washington, DC Office 202-225-6201

Peoria Office 309-671-7027

Make sure to say you are with the Campaign for Liberty and that we are watching closely to see if he signs on.

Let me know if you get any feedback!

Thanks!

Is it just me, or does Timothy Geithner have a case of foot-in-mouth disease?

It amazes me that he can say something like "deserves some consideration" in response to a comment about replacement currency from the Governor of The People's Bank of China. The Dollar plunged, then with the snap of his fingers he can put a spin on what he said and turn it into something positive and magically the dollar recovered. Interesting how that works. I'm sure Obama was waiting in the wings to slap him on the wrist, or maybe wash his mouth out with soap!

Here is part of the article from The New York Times...

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner on Wednesday said that the dollar would remain the world’s dominant reserve currency for some time to come, clarifying earlier remarks that sent the dollar tumbling.

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner spoke to the Council on Foreign Relations in New York on Wednesday.

“The dollar remains the world’s dominant reserve currency,” Mr. Geithner said after a speech in Midtown Manhattan to the Council on Foreign Relations. “I think that’s likely to continue for a long period of time.”

Mr. Geithner’s comments came in response to a question regarding a proposal by Zhou Xiaochuan, the governor of the People’s Bank of China, that suggested a possible replacement for the dollar as a global reserve currency. The proposal called on the International Monetary Fund to increase the use of "Special Drawing Rights" — a basket of currencies made up of the euro, yen, pound and dollar that has served as a reserve asset.

The dollar plunged earlier in the morning after Mr. Geithner, in response to another question, said China’s suggestion “deserves some consideration,” though he added that he had not read the proposal.

The dollar rebounded later on Mr. Geithner’s clarification.

Still Mr. Geithner said that the “evolution of the dollar’s role in the system depends really primarily on how effective we are in the United States in getting not just recovery back on track, our financial system repaired, but we get our fiscal position back to the point where people will judge it as sustainable over time.”

You can find the article in it's entirety at the New York Times Online..
