I am an alternative health practitioner who got turned on to Dr. Paul through his stand for health freedom. With all the uproar about the economy, the bailout and the wars, it is easy to lose sight of the most fundamental of all rights which is the security of our our bodies.

Last year Ron Paul introduced legislation in the House which to the best of my knowledge has gone absolutely nowhere. Why is this? No doubt it is because the powers that be have no interest in your rights. After all, it is the Pharmaceutical and Chemical companies that hold the attention of the FDA and EPA. If the government thinks it's ok to have The Patriot Act as the law of the land, what would it matter if your kids are being vaccinated at gunpoint?

The most glaring threat to our freedom is looming with the United States efforts to harmonize with the world government efforts around the trade regulations known as Codex Alimentarius. These originally non-binding trade rules established by UN committee, which became binding in the mid-1990's when their enforcement became a function of the WTO, restrict all forms of natural products.

This is a case where the general public's ignorance of The Constitution and how it is manipulated to serve the agenda's of multinational corporations and despots takes further down the road of oppression. Corporations such as Monsanto and government agencies such as the FDA which serve as little more than a PR function for the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries, actually drive the United States committees on Codex. Essentially the fox's run this hen house.

As of December 2009, your ability to obtain and use vitamins and other natural products will become illegal. This is just another example of the emergence of world government and this one in particular is a threat to your health.

Issues like this make strange bedfellows and amongst the liberal communities on the web, Change.org is organizing public opinion around the issues which they should promote as the 10 most pressing issues for the new administration to address. The web site just completed first round voting and Health Freedom as an issue came in 3rd place.

Keep in mind that any grassroots effort that focuses attention on the issue of our freedoms is worth participating in even if sponsored by THOSE people ;-)

Please see Amendment IX in your bill of rights, the Patriot act is not a legal piece of legislature because it denies and degrades our rights. Every one who participated in it has broken their oath to protect and serve the constitution. Regrettfully I must say I feel even those who participated in even "voting" on the legislature is just as guilty whether they voted for it or against it. An entire government, even those who stand for our Liberties knowingly participated in an illegal act. A true protector and officer of the document would have discounted it and legally denied voting.

doctragoz, I agree the Patriot act is not legal. Dr. Paul voted against it, does that make him "guilty" and "knowingly participated in an illegal act"? I disagree, please explain.

Thank you for the heads up Trinity Wellness !! doctragoz No vote at all would have been a vote for it. We need people with conscience in congress willing to stand up and vote against things like this. Would you have our elected officials that actually represent us not vote on issues so the representatives that obviously do not have our interests in mind can simply pass anything they want ?

Can you give a clear example of what types of natural products and vitamins that will be banned? Would this have an impact on holistic health treatments? It sounds like it will force us to use these drugs created by Pharmaceutical companies that don't care about people, but profits.
