My Life as a Ron Paul supporter began in May of 2007. I came home from work one day and my boyfriend had just watched a recap from the previous nights Presidential debate in South Carolina. He noticed one of the candidates was either very good, or very good at being a politician.

Over the next few weeks we found out that Ron Paul was not only very good, he was the best we had ever seen. The breaking point for me was fear. I watched a video called "what we choose to ignore" made by one of the grassroots campaigns most influental video makers, who goes by the internet name of "aravoth" (youtube channel here) who was also responsible for videos such as "don't tread on me" "when in the course of human events" and other viral Ron Paul videos.

I quickly joined the nearest meetup group which was about an hour away in Haskell, Oklahoma and consisted of only 2 members. After attending the first meeting, my boyfriend (Jay) and I agreed to become co-coordinators of the group, and move the official HQ to Tulsa, Ok where we lived.

The group grew very quickly and we obtained several more co-coordinators and we began having large and successful meetups.

In October we heard about a project being started called Operation Live Free Or Die, which began with an idea from Vijay Boyapati, a google employee who was empowered by Ron Pauls speech there. (watch video here). The idea was to get volunteers to key primary states like Iowa and New Hampshire to campaign door to door for Ron Paul.

We jumped on full force, thanks to the support and help from our meetup group members, selling as much of our stuff as possible, quitting our jobs, and getting on the road to New Hampshire. I kept a blog about it from beginning to end which you can read here

After 3 months in New Hampshire, we followed OLFD to Las Vegas, and then came to Missouri, where Jay and I are both originally from.

We now reside in Holiday Island, Arkansas where I am a manager at Fred's (a large retail store)

We are continually working in liberty causes, including CFL
