Im very proud to announce our first victory at the voting box. Many may remember BJ Lawson in the 2008 election cycle. He was a candidate inspired by Ron Paul and ran to represent the 4th district of NC. He garnered 150K votes against a very favored Democratic incumbent in 2008.
He didnt give up. He filed and is running again this year. On May 4th, 2010 he won his primary with 46% of the vote, between himself and three other opponents. I would humbly encourage our grassroots to get behind Dr. Lawson and give him the best shot we can at winning his seat. BJ has real credentials. We can count on him to stand next to other Liberty candidates and defend our Constitution.
Our message is winning. We can be the change we wish to see in the world!
BJ LAWSON 2010

Ive been bragging about it all night. I was so pumped I ended up going out for the first time in a few weeks.
George let me ramble a little. It was tough shutting up long enough to have a conversation, but I believe I managed pretty well.
My reason for calling was HR 1207. When he took my call I said that I wanted to inform more people about the bill, then he said R. Paul introduced it, I got to mention the sponsors, mine especially because he got behind it quick even though he's a democrat. That it was going to committee soon, that the Fed was private, that Ben blew off testimony to Congress, that they doubled the money supply, that 87 Billion is unaccounted for...
And my last words.. (from memory)
'Thank God we have Ron Paul. You may not agree with everything he stands for, but he tells the truth. I dont want a politician to do anything for me but protect my liberty and end these endless wars that cost us trillions and just create more enemies for us.'
George went on to praise Paul. He has had him twice in the past and looking forward to bringing him on again.
This revolution hasnt even started. The shot heard around the world was the Paul/Rudy exchange on FOX. Rudy went down faster than a lead zepplin. Did he even carry one state? Who cares. That moment sparked a movement.
Combine it with the fact that most of the curious minds between 15-30 learned about the Fed, what it does, and they had this awesome grandfather to look towards and believe in. Im positive no man is perfect, but the respect I have for Paul is comparable to the rest of the important people in my life.
Ron Paul is change I can believe in. The rest of the pack are full of sit. None of them understand the importance of our Liberty like Ron Paul does. They voted for it before they voted against it. Its ok that they get in your private life if you do nothing wrong. I want to be free. Freedom does work. No other country in recorded history has accomplished what we have. A free society will always dominate an oppressed one. It certainly works better than government ever will. Once OB's policies mirror Dubyas, once the economy is weaker, once they start locking people up for being human. The communication link is the internet. Our culture needs to side step the television as a whole and get online. At that point will the country as a whole 'wake up'? I dont know. In my heart, I know its going to happen. I have faith in the American people and the American spirit. We are not perfect, but we ARE the best expirement 'The People' ever had with government.

It would be nice to hear Ron Paul speak about his bid for the presidency.. i.e. where he was at and his thoughts on Nixon and McGovern.
Im sure his perspective would be interesting as he has said that Nixon taking us off the gold standard completely was motivation for him to run.

Tyler in MO Poplar Bluff, MO | I doubt he supported McGovern on anything except Vietnam. McGovern was basically a socialist, guaranteed minimum income and such. |

Parke Ocean Springs, MS | How the hell did our country end up full of big government people hell bent on denying freedoms they themselves would lose?
I never cease to be amazed at how the government 'makes things fair.' |

I have just gotten the keys to my office. Ive hired an editor, photographer, designer and distributor. I want my magazine to support C4L and our movement. I have never published anything but I see opprotunity where I live. We have two training military bases (kids that travel around the world) and a tourist industry (9 casino's in 15 miles). There is no independent voice that speaks for freedom. This is going to be our voice.
I worked for Dr. Paul for a very long time. I volunteered my time and money. Im not going away.
Any help, advice or even encouragement is humbly welcome.

I think mainly its because of my grandmother. She taught me alot about our government when I was growing up as a child. She taught me to always fight for my rights and the rights of others, to defend our Constitution and to be tolerant of other peoples freedom.
When RP took on Rudy at the second debate I was floored. I knew at that moment that RP was telling the truth. Something nobody else on that stage would do. I finally had a message from a lawmaker that I could believe in.
Im here for the long haul. Ill never turn my back on America, our Constitution or this message. I want my child to live in a free country without fear from the state.
God Bless ya Ron Paul. Thanks so much for inspiring me to take action.

Wilhelm Brandon, MS | I would have woken up to this earlier if I had been taught the constitution... and then all the times it had been broken. |
