The speech brings joy to my heart. Telling the truth is how evil will be conquered!

I saw and captured the last 10 minutes of Ron Paul's speech and he talked boldly.  There could be 10 to 15 minutes of him speaking that I don't have here.  So post a link to the full version or search for it yourself.

By Bob Ivry

Oct. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Representative Ron Paul, the Texas Republican who has called for an end to the Federal Reserve, said legislation he introduced to audit monetary policy has been “gutted” while moving toward a possible vote in the Democratic-controlled House.

The bill, with 308 co-sponsors, has been stripped of provisions that would remove Fed exemptions from audits of transactions with foreign central banks, monetary policy deliberations, transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee and communications between the Board, the reserve banks and staff, Paul said today.

“There’s nothing left, it’s been gutted,” he said in a telephone interview. “This is not a partisan issue. People all over the country want to know what the Fed is up to, and this legislation was supposed to help them do that.”

...

Paul, a member of the House Financial Services Committee, said Mel Watt, a Democrat from North Carolina, has eliminated “just about everything” while preparing the legislation for formal consideration. Watt is chairman of the panel’s domestic monetary policy and technology subcommittee.

My response:

With the grassroots success at getting the ORIGINAL HR1207 so many cosponsor in the US House (308), the forces for the Fed are running scared and trying to water this movement down. Do not let them.  This counter attack is to be expected as Ron Paul has stated recently. Now is the time to turn up the volume and get more people involved.

Start wearing your Ron Paul gear out around town again and see what response you are getting. I have done so 3 time in the past 10 days and people I have never met before are actively coming up to me and telling me how much they like the message and to end the fed. None of the people I talked to knew about our local liberty group nor the campaign for liberty which I educated them about. Let your voices be heard and educate.

Jacob Hornberger, the president of the Future of Freedom Foundation, will be interviewed by ITTV on 9/17/09 at 1 pm EST.  Watch the live video interview at BoldVoices.TV channel 6 and join the chat room to interact with other viewers and the host.  Questions will be taken from the chat room.

If you can not watch live the interview will be recorded and available for viewing online later that day.   The interview will be focused on Jacob Hornberger's blog post:  Prosecuting Robert Kahre for Embarrassing the Federal Reserve.

Here is a quote from the above post:

For the life of me, I cannot figure out what Las Vegas businessman Robert Kahre has done to deserve a federal criminal indictment. From what I can tell, Kahre is the victim of a brutal, heavy-handed Justice Department that is acting at the behest of the IRS and possibly even officials of the Federal Reserve.

Today, Kahre, 48, is in a federal trial facing a 57-count indictment. If he’s convicted on all counts, he could end up spending the rest of his life in jail.

From what I can tell, the feds are going after Kahre for two main reasons, both of which appear to me to be ludicrous abuses of prosecutorial power. First, the feds are upset that Kahre paid his workers with gold and silver coins. Second, they’re upset that he treated his workers as independent contractors rather than as salaried employees.
