Laura Bohling has just been elected as Circuit Court Clerk in Rutherford County. She was one of the first CFL local coordinators in Rutherford County. She is also the first CFL member to be elected to Rutherford County office. Here is a link to all the county results.

Today, a small group of Campaign for Liberty members went to Congressman Gordons office to drop off HR 1207 petitions. A reporter for The Daily News Journal took pictures and interviewed a few of us. Congressman Gordon's statement was almost exactly the same as it was last time we were at his office. "I appreciate that my constituents came to my office and voiced their concerns about H.R. 1207," Gordon said in the statement. "My colleagues on the House Financial Services Committee are currently considering this bill. I look forward to reviewing their recommendations about it and other measures aimed at improving our financial regulatory system."
