December 16th is a Big Day to help make change to all these fine Liberty Candiates who have taken the initiative to step up and run for office!
The ONLY way we can make change is to make sure we have people in office who will follow the Mission of The Campaign for Liberty:
To defend the great American principles of individual liberty,
constitutional government,
sound money,
free markets,
and a noninterventionist foreign policy

Thank you Robert Demott for forwarding this letter to us
Dear Mr. Demott:
Thank you for contacting me regarding the Federal Reserve. I appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns.
The Federal Reserve sets interest rates based on economic principles and the current economic climate. Although I don't always agree with their decisions, the Federal Reserve was established in such a way that Congress does not have a strong say in their decisions. In 1913, Congress created the Federal Reserve as an independent agency so matters such as interest rates would not be influenced by politics. Annual appropriations bills are the usual Congressional oversight mechanism for independent agencies, however, the Federal Reserve does not get funded though an appropriations bill. Instead, it is funded through member banks and service fees. Congress only oversees the Federal Reserve through reports and hearings, which I believe we must utilize appropriately to protect our country's economic security.
As you may know, H.R. 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009, would reform the manner in which the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is audited by the Comptroller General of the United States and the manner in which such audits are reported. It would also mandate that an audit be completed before the end of 2010 and the results reported to Congress.
This legislation was introduced in the 111th Congress on February 26, 2009 by Rep. Ron Paul of Texas. It has been referred to the House Committee on Financial Services. Please be assured that I will keep your views firmly in mind as this legislation develops.
Thank you again for contacting me. Please do not hesitate to do so again on any matter of concern. You can also visit my website (http://house.gov/israel) to learn more about the issues important to you.
&n bsp; &nbs p; &n bsp; Sincerely,
&nbs p; &n bsp; &nbs p; STEVE ISRAEL &n bsp; &nbs p; &n bsp; Member of Congress

tronstevens Yonkers, NY | It's remarkable how they send us a history of the Fed. and of the bill. Obviously, we already know it all because we're calling them about it in the first place!
These NY Congressmen are ridiculous. I called (Eliot Engel, NY-17) and they hung up on me when I questioned the constitutionality of his horrible votes.
NY seems to be hopeless. |

I remember meeting Sean Hannity. I walked up to him at a book signing, he said to me "Hey Doll" and I smiled wide with my Ron Paul button and handed him a TrueWorldHistory.Info card and he thanked me --asked me what it was--and I said, "It's a great website where you'll learn many things about our government". (he probably went home, looked it up and in his special way said "WHAT AN UNAMERICAN TRAITOR!" lol --becasuse to Sean, being a Great American means you want to sign up for duty and kill terrorist all over the world. Occupying 150 countries is not enough for Sean).
But lately I've seen a lot of anger at the fact that suddenly the "neo-cons" have infiltrated the freedom and liberty movement.....but is it such a bad thing?
Most of the Neocon followers don't even know they are neo-cons or what a neo-con is. At the tea parties --let me digress by saying I was the leader of the long Island Ron Paul for president meet-up with 210 members-- I didn't know any of the faces, they were ALL new...and they had come there listening to Hannity, Beck et al. But they were open to hearing about this "little known video" FREEDOM TO FASCISM...and most took copies. I handed out trueworldhistory.info cards, info about C4L, DownsizeDC.org, and The Obama deception was a big hit! They are confused as well. They know they are not happy with the way things are. Most never even heard of Ron Paul (lets not forget he was ignored by the media).....
Most of these people are ready. Hand them movies like Money as Debt or better yet --just hand them trueworldhistory.info cards and let them begin like we did --at the very beginning!
So lets use this opportunity to open up a few minds. If we can awaken 25% of them we're doing our job....believe me I wish there were this many people open to the IDEA of freedom and liberty during the primaries.....well, we have the chance now to grow larger. Lets do it!
Don't be mad, don't divide.....open the door with a smile because it's time to Teach. This is what it's all about..... This is what the Campaign for Liberty is all about...
We have lots of work to do.
I was a Democrat before I saw the movie Freedom to Fascism, found Ron Paul and started to listen.....boy did I wake up from the dead REAL FAST!
This was me....
