Just thought I point out something that could be very important.

"We consider the recent terrorist attack to be the result of US action. This is a sign of America's animosity against our country," Mr Larijani said, quoted by AFP.

"Mr Obama has said he will extend his hand towards Iran, but with this terrorist action he has burned his hand," he said, referring to US President Barack Obama.

I have a feeling it won't matter how much our government denies this. The idea has been planted that it was the US involved.

Not only did both the C4L and I get mentioned in the local newspaper. The story ended up on MSNBC's local news area!

MSNBC has an article mentioning HR 1207!

Check it out here or you could just read this...

"Organizations supporting smaller government were at the event, including Campaign For Liberty, which stands for individual liberty, a constitutional government, sound money and non-interventionist foreign policy.

"We're nonpartisan. Every party's involved," said Ed Hipps, the regional coordinator for the organization. It's pushing for H.R. 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, which if passed, would audit the Federal Reserve."

So I heard back from Judd Gregg today about the senate version of HR 1207.. here is an excerpt:

"You may be interested to know that the Federal Banking Agency Audit Act of 1978 (P.L. 95-320) provided the General Accounting Office, now Government Accountability Office (GAO), with the authority to audit the Fed. In addition, members of the Federal Reserve are frequently called upon to testify before Congressional Committees, and the Fed is required to provide semi-annual monetary reports to the Congress."

Blah blah blah, he has no interest in cosponsoring this bill blah blah blah.

Ok it is ridiculous he brought up the fed testifying to congressional committees because they are not required to answer any one question and often they will not answer the question. But what the heck is he talking about the GAO audits? What is he talking about. How do I counter that?

Congratulations on the good press. Does anyone have a strong letter to send to their represenatives enclosing a petition urging him to cosponsor HR 1207 that I could use? I have a petition with 55 signatures I need to send in. Thanks in advance.

Nice work!

Smashy - I lifted this from the THOMAS website: this is the bill Judd Gregg is talking about. He needs to know that the FED can be audited, except for basically whatever they don't want to be audited.

"Federal Banking Agency Audit Act - Amends the Accounting and Auditing Act of 1950 to authorize the General Accounting Office (GAO) to conduct independent audits of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Prohibits the GAO from auditing: (1) transactions conducted on behalf of or with foreign central banks, foreign governments, and nonprivate international financing organizations; (2) deliberations, decisions, and actions on monetary policy matters, including discount window operations, reserves of member banks, securities credit, interest on deposits, and open market operations; (3) transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee including transactions of the Federal Reserve System Open Market Account; and (4) those portions of oral, written, telegraphic, or telephonic discussions and communications among or between Members of the Board of Governors, and officers and employees of the Federal Reserve System which deal with topics listed in this Act.

Prohibits the GAO from conducting on site examinations of banks or bank holding companies without the written consent of the appropriate regulatory agency.

Sets forth prohibitions on the public disclosure of certain information.

Requires the GAO to make reports on audits to Congress as frequently as practicable. Provides that an advance draft of any report on an independent audit be made available to the agencies concerned for 30 days, and that any agency comments will be included in the final report.

Authorizes GAO access for authorized audit purposes to all agency documents and files. Requires the GAO to follow strict security procedures to maintain the confidentiality of agency records.

Authorizes bank examiners to discuss the affairs of banks and bank holding companies with GAO audit personnel.

Imposes a fine of up to $5,000 and/or one year imprisonment for disclosure of information from a bank examination report by a GAO auditor."

This information is important when making the case to our reps. The bill Gregg cites actually spells out more PROHIBITIONS on what can be audited than what actually can be audited.

Hello Friends Of Liberty And Supporters Of The Constitution,

I just want to say what a great job that everyone did at the Bucks County Tea Party Washington's Crossing State Park. Thank you to all the people who spoke at the event, and thank you for all the support of the people that showed up . It was the best two and one half hours spent for the cause of liberty. Now that I have said that, I think everyone has to continue the fight on a daily basis. It's one thing cheering and booing at the rallies to make everyone feel good, but don't go home and forget about it all. In the past this is what the powers that be are counting on. They figure that you will shout and get it out of your system then forget about it. But I believe that this will not happen. I think that a wake up call has awaken a sleeping giant "The People". We need to take back our beloved Country and to do that you must be dedicated to the cause. Talk to your friends and family, then talk to people that you don't even know and let them know that you are unhappy with the direction that your Politicians are taking you. Then see if they will do the same. The more dialogue that takes place between people will encourage others to do the same. The time to do this is now before it is too late. With a President that seems to be a socialist is not a good sign for our country, after all socialism does not work. If you think that it does just ask a Russian and what do you think that he would tell you. I don't know what you expect of America in the future, but the only change I want to see is true leaders that believe in the Constitution which is the law of the land, that has made this a wonderful place to live. Imagine having representatives that really support the people of this nation instead of special interest groups that want to push their agendas . People have been flocking to this nation for a long time and if the Politicians would be like I just said then nobody would hesitate to live here. After all like Ron Paul said Freedom is a very popular thing. And now look what is happening to law enforcement in this country. Now border patrol agents are pulling over our citizens that are not even crossing the border. These agents are asking people question like where are you going and where to you work ect. ,is this nation turning into Nazi Germany?. "You know papers please." And now the head of Home Land Security have the patriot's marked as terrorist. Ever since 911 our Politicians seem to want to pass laws to take our freedoms away for the sake of being safe. I think that we would be allot safer if the people in Washington would get off their asses and follow the Constitution, after all it is the law of the land. So in closing just a reminder to you all, Do Nothing And Your Nation Will Not Remain Free If You Let, these type of People Push Their Agenda That Is Taking Shape As I Write This.

Bucks County had a Tea Party today......and it was AMAZING!

The estimated crowd was about 500+, and we were well stocked with fliers about HR1207. We had a fabulous day for a Tea Party, and had all different types of people there, not just "right wing extremists" like the MSM would have people believe. In fact oddly enough we didn't have any news networks at this event at all. I did talk to someone from the local paper, but that was the extent of media that was there.

The Tea Party was a complete success for us here at the Bucks C4L, and I believe we reached a lot of concerned citizens. Here's some of the pictures from the beginning of the event, there's more photos that others were taking, but I was too busy talking to take additional pictures once the Tea Party got on its way.

The 7'X4' banner is extremely effective. If you haven't gotten one yet, I highly recommend it.

We had a nice tent for people to get some shade.

Inside the C4L tent.

Attendance was great and look how many crazy "radicals" were there.

These gentlemen were selling "Don't Tread On Me" flags. Nice guys, and guess what MSM? They're not white. *Gasp*

The guys from the Thomas jefferson Club. Jeff McGeary (left) gave an amazing speech, seriously...it was AMAZING!

We should have some more pictures, and possibly video of that great speech from Jeff McGeary.

Bucks County, PA is moving and shaking, and this is only the beginning!

Gadsden flags (Don't Tread on Me) and the C4L banner, too? You're being very provocative. DHS and the FBI could have been hiding in the trees with their cameras and long lenses using face recognition technology.

I'll be ordering my Gadsden stuff soon...

Seriously, this guy really makes me angry.

Dear Mr. Hipps:

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the economic recovery plan. I appreciate hearing from you.

The end of the year brought sobering news about the state of our economy. So many working families have suffered under the weight of this recession. In 2008, 3.6 million Americans lost their jobs and unemployment soared to 7.2 percent. In Pennsylvania, 54,300 jobs were lost in a single month between November and December, bringing the state's unemployment rate from 6.2 percent to 6.7 percent. Compounding the bleak employment data is the state's own financial picture. These shortfalls present a danger to communities across Pennsylvania as state and local officials may be required to raise tax rates to meet the looming deficits unless action is taken.

As you are aware, Congress has been working with the Obama Administration over the past several weeks to come up with a recovery plan to begin to reverse the economic downturn. The bill, known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, includes many components designed to accomplish this goal. For instance, the plan will give tax cuts to 95 percent of American workers, putting money in their pockets as they struggle to make ends meet. It will provide an infusion of capital into projects across Pennsylvania that will put people to work modernizing the Commonwealth's roads, bridges and water systems, creating or saving an estimated 3.5 million jobs nationwide and as many as 143,000 here in Pennsylvania. It provides direct aid to the state to help fill the budget gap, stave off cuts to crucial services and provide additional unemployment insurance for workers who have lost their jobs. For greater detail on the funding specific to Pennsylvania, please visit my website at http://casey.senate.gov.

Although I recognize that this recovery bill is not perfect, I voted for it to help President Obama get our economy moving again, to create jobs and to aid those hardest hit by the economy. As you probably know, President Obama recently signed this bill into law.

This bill will not only create and save jobs immediately, but it help us rebuild America for the future, making us more globally competitive and energy independent. The investments it will make in roads, bridges, mass transit, energy efficient building, flood control and clean water projects will have a lasting effect on our economy. The bill's investments in science and innovation will be used to spur new American-made technology, prevent and treat disease, and tackle urgent national challenges like climate change and dependence on foreign oil.

As the Obama Administration moves forward with this plan, I will work with other senators to ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent in an effective and efficient manner. The new law contains unprecedented transparency and oversight provisions that will allow taxpayers to see how their government spends their money. I encourage you to visit a new website, www.recovery.gov, that has been established so that you can track the implementation of this recovery plan.

Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future about this or any other matter of importance to you.

Sincerely,
Bob Casey
United States Senator

Here is the biggest lie in his letter (aside from the false Keynesian crap about creating jobs, etc.):

"As the Obama Administration moves forward with this plan, I will work with other senators to ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent in an effective and efficient manner. The new law contains unprecedented transparency and oversight provisions that will allow taxpayers to see how their government spends their money. I encourage you to visit a new website, www.recovery.gov, that has been established so that you can track the implementation of this recovery plan."

We all know this plan is a lobbyists dream, and the usual amount of oversight will be in effect: ZERO
