I will start out by saying that I voted for Al Gore, but George W. won.  I was fresh out of college (political science major) and a fierce Democrat.  Then somehow my opinion changed after September 11, 2001.  I was glad Georgie was in office and saw him as a kick ass president who was taking charge.  I was now a Republican (gasp!).  I fully believed in the Iraqui invasion and even volunteered for the military.  I scored in the top echelon on the ASVAB, and had a college degree.  I was going in as a captain.

The recruiters were on a fast track to commit me, until they learned I was prescribed Paxil for anxiety.  Then it was like I was contaminated, and they said I was "not acceptable".  Sure, I was crushed, but that ended up being the hugest favor anyone has ever done for me.

A few years later had me questioning, seriously questioning, the validity of our Federal Government.  I believe that the attack that occurred on September 11, 2001 was, in fact, a planned political maneuver meant to shoo in the Patriot Act.  It's a shrewd way of getting us to waive our rights away due to our fear of "terrorists".  My question is, who are the real terrorists here?

Today I am disgusted with myself for voting for Barrack Obama.  How was it possible that I, fairly well-educated in political systems, failed to realize the fascist qualities in Obama's rhetoric??

I wrote this on my website in March, 2009:

The latest manufactured event is obviously imminent in the United States.  I believe this event has been planned to be especially horrific to Americans, the direct benefit being our demanding (so ironic) that liberty and freedom be restricted further in order to be "protected" from "insert script here". I need look no further than the Bush administration for proof of the script.  This time it could be an outbreak of disease, another domestic attack, or food/water contamination, etc.  Use your imaginations, because they certainly have been.

They will take whatever means necessary because there is a great motive, and the time is right.  The time is right according to them for three major reasons.

1. TOLERANCE

We have displayed our tolerance for complete environmental destruction, and mass human suffering (look no further than your local homeless shelter, or dare to explore further).  We tolerate mass deception and regulation in so many forms, that sadly I think we crave it now.  We have now tolerated being herded (some again, happily) into a standard of thinking that leaves the psyche extremely vulnerable.  The standard of thinking is illustrated by our avid self-policing, and pervaded by any outlet that can reach us.  Effective outlets utilized are television, movies, books, newspapers, religion, and education.

We have allowed ourselves to feel physical and emotional pain for ideals that don't exist!  How many people have waxed their bikini line, upper lip, armpits, back?  Or, how many people have felt that their breasts/noses/teeth/skin were displeasing enough to surgically alter them?  How many men, as infants, had the skin removed from the tips of their penises?  How many people have felt distress in the form of depression or anxiety?  How many people feel helpless over events that they seemingly have no control over?   Too many people exist in pain right now, but only because we have tolerated it.  It is not a far jump to conclude that our tolerance for evil is a breeding ground for it.

 2. HELPLESSNESS

If I take a look at all the people I know, they have one thing in common: dependency.  In varying degrees, they are all dependent on others for food (grocery stores), for water (water company), for heat/electricity (gas/electric company), for protection (police), for justice (the courts), and the list could go on.  It is difficult and expensive to provide all these things for ourselves.  It is much more economical, and quite simply easier to outsource.  The rationale leading to outsourcing is not flawed; however that initial rationale has become corrupted with our false perceptions along the way.

We recognize that we outsource for services everyday, like when you pay the babysitter, or pay your rent.  We recognize, perhaps, that when we pay taxes we are outsourcing for various protections, services, etc. performed by the state we live in or by the federal government.  The difference between those first two transactions and the final one is the amount of visibility during the process.  When did it start making sense to us to outsource responsibility, using a vast portion of our incomes, nonetheless, for the regulation of our very existence?  We work a third of the year, sometimes more, for what, exactly?  And then this exploitation that we asked for, in turn, outsources our trust and money to corporations because corruption has gone unquestioned. Lobbyists exist to convince/tempt/corrupt the people we trust with our lives and those of our children, using whatever means available, to endorse "insert corporation here".  Corporations intrinsically have no given responsibility to look out for our best interests.  Hear that again.  Our money and trust passes through various institutions and enterprises and ends up at a corporation.  This corporation, with endless power and money, because you pervade the myth, is even raising your children through the various outlets mentioned above.

Corporations do not have to run in elections because they are an "invisible", i.e. not recognized "officially", entity. So, then, those corporations, using the clout of the original outsource, can proceed to advertise their products, saturating the market using our money, so that we again outsource to them.  We have been doing this so eagerly, that they recognize our infatuation with gleefully throwing responsibility away without even questioning why we do it, or to whom exactly we give the power to.  This is fertile ground for taking it a step further, because technically, we are nothing at this point but a number and the means to an end for a corporation.  We say buy, you buy.  We say poison is healthy, you drink poison.  We say kill, you kill.  We say you are free, you fly a flag.

 3. NARCISSISM/GREED/APATHY

It is difficult to honestly identify anyone in my own life whom at one point or another has not exhibited narcissism, greed, or apathy and most likely, a combination of all three.  These may be intrinsic traits, but they are woefully exploited.

It is pretty easy to recognize the excess to which these traits are not only displayed, but rewarded in our society.  I need only point to the rich to see what is idolized.  This is not a comment upon the rich, indeed it is a comment on what virtues and ideals we hold dear in this society and the way in which we express our approval.

To a society whose basis has degraded to such radical irony, it is comical to hear it complain when the television and the "nanny" raise their children.  For this narcissism, greed, and apathy to prevail, there must always be something or someone to cherish, and something or someone to invoke judgment.  This is fertile ground for the inevitable justification that must prevail in order for it all to be taken.  If you don't awaken from your prison of manmade walls you may find yourself justifying the very destruction of your humanity.

The hardest thing to wrap my mind around is how well we have played into the hands of fools.  Are we really that malleable, and as so far the answer to me is yes!

What gives us true joy is now a source of guilt for many.

How many times have people around the world wished they could spend more time with their children/parents/friends/lovers/pets?

The guilt stems from the fact that we are often forced to neglect what truly gives us joy, for our mere survival.  We spend all of our money and all of our time securing what should not be so expensive, monetarily nor psychologically.  Stop feeling guilt over something that has not been "choice".  "Freedom" has never been so expensive!

Poll: Will you receive an H1N1 flu shot this season, if made available to you?

Absolutely, my health may be in danger!
Probably, yes.
Maybe, I just don't trust "vaccines", but am fearful enough to try it.
Hell no! I think I will just take my chances.
I would rather die.
