Howdy,

      My name is Thomas C. Burns.  I go by my middle name which is Conor.  I am originally from Cut Bank, I'm am a Montanan through and through.  Most of my family is politically Republican, what we now would call Libertarian I suppose.  I served for about 5 years in the US Navy, 4 years initial active-duty and 1 year on a "recall" to OIF.  Being that I swore an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States of America, I feel pretty strongly about it, particularly the first ten amendments.  I am absolutely in favor of the Federal government "shrinking" exponentially.  I am of the opinion that the government shouldn't have any direct control over me, my body, money, life or what I choose to do with those things.  I BELIEVE that this country should NOT be in debt, especially to the degree we are. 

      I am so enraged about the "stimulus" packages, bail-outs, and all the other ridiculous crap that the Federal government has/is spending my hard-earned money which they take from me before my paycheck is even written.  Mostly, I'm pissed that my generation are going to have to pay for these know-nothing, half-assed, money-grubbing, asshole "businessmen"!  More to the point, I won't pay for them!  I want to see this country return to it's founding ideas and restore the liberties of the individual. 

      I fully support every aspect of the Bill of Rights.  I was in the military when the travesty called the "Patriot" Act dropped on the civil liberties of the people of this country like the steaming turd that it is.  I voiced my opinion after having read it, in it's entirety, and had several "talks" with my seniors.  They pretty much said while I was on the ship I couldn't say things like: "Anyone who voted for this crap is a domestic enemy of The Constitution."  At any rate, I want to see a government that is more scared of the people than the people are of the government.  I also thing that we need to bring home our troops... From every f***ing place on the planet!  I really, honestly and truly believe that this country doesn't need a large standing army.  We, the people, are our own defenders.  After all, there are only around 70,000,000 firearms owners in the US and around 1,600,000 personnel in our military.  Basically, I believe the Republic NEEDS to be renewed.  Lets make it happen!

      So, hit me up!  Let's get everyone in Montana we can to join this campaign and return to the sound, responsible government which was intended by the people.
