I'm living in Santa Cruz, California, the belly of the collective beast!  I love it here - the weather, the people, all of it. I've traveled to Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia, Ghana, Burkina Faso and fourteen American states.  This world is a beautiful place, and a foreign policy of freedom is, I think, the best way to enhance peace and prosperity throughout the entire globe.

I'm a free banking advocate, a proponent of open borders, and a staunch supporter of gay (and polygamous) marriage.

I have been involved with FEE, the IHS, and the Independent Institute's summer seminars.  Let's put our heads together!

What's Crackin?!

...over at Foreign Policy.  I don't know if the site's editors have gotten to this yet, but there is a great article summarizing the growing schism within the Tea Party movement right now.

Any guesses on what that schism may be about?

Hey y'all!  I stumbled across this slate.com piece by way of marginalrevolution.com a while back, and I must admit that the link between the World Trade Center's architecture and bin Laden's motives are kind of compelling.

Hope y'all find the article as fascinating as I did.

Alright folks, I've got a couple links on Ronald Reagan here!

The first one is from the Cato Institute's blog and features a little bit of history on the Reagan-appointed judge that recently overturned California's Proposition 8.  I thought it was rather juicy...

Also Peter Beinart over at Foreign Policy has a great piece on Reagan's foreign policy and what President Obama could learn from Reagan's presidency.

I am wondering if anyone out there has any comments or analysis on these articles, or on Reagan's presidency in general.  Either way, peace out from Santa Cruz!
