My wife is an 10th grade English teacher in the public schools. Here is an excerpt from the grammar text book. (The lesson was to correct the punctuation).
Coolidge thought that government should leave business alone and not spend money helping people. "The chief business of the American people is business," he stated. Describing American in the 1920's, he said, "Civilization and profits go hand in hand". When he left office, he commented, "Perhaps one of the most important accomplishments of my administration has been minding my own business." Although some people benefited from the so-called Coolidge Prosperity, many other would not have called it 'prosperity'. Some of Coolidge's policies led to the Great Depression.
