The path we travel is unmistakable toward globalization and loss of liberty. The fact that this discussion is not until lately even taking place in public is quite troubling. How painful it is to see a tilde wave coming and having little or no means in which to warn the people in its path. Conventional wisdom is what the political pundits tell us it is. Mass media and the federally influenced schools have the ability to capture the hearts and minds of enough people to cause group thinking. Talk show hosts similar to members of Congress are looked up to as though they are the enlightened ones. Meanwhile just as recent as a few years ago members of the House financial committee still thought we were on a gold standard.
How do you view the financial collapse, a conspiracy or just people taking advantage of a situation? Whether the current economic devastation was planned and facilitated or was truly just a perfect storm, it was predictable. In fact it was well known and forecast by many economists and sociologists. Unfortunately having the capability to look at the facts indiscriminately is not something practiced by mainstream American journalists or most Americans for that matter. Either way it is inconceivable to think that the top economic advisers and intelligence agencies did not see it coming. Rahm Emanuel said "Rule one: Never allow a crisis to go to waste." Don't stop the disaster, harness its energy.
Like Peter Shiff calling out the market collapse, many have talked about our banking system, foreign policy and the plans for future advancement into a global body. People questioning conventional wisdom are often called crack pots. While the mainstream supports slogans like free market capitalism and national sovereignty they knowing or unknowingly support globalism through trade agreements and complex legislation that almost no one reads. Unfortunately a large majority of those with higher education focus their energy on the task at hand while ignoring the larger picture. Through compartmentalization they very well could be working like many union members against their own ideology. Exceptions of course exist with those who see a fruitless battle and choose not to participate and those who partake working to manipulate public opinion and manufacture consent of the masses.
A few quotes to further my point.
For more on manipulation of public opinion see my blog: What is Truth?
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a monied aristocracy that has set the Government at defiance. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs." - Thomas Jefferson.
"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." Henry Ford
"Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws". - Mayer Anselm Rothschild of the Rothschild banking family. The Rothschilds openly follow the Golden Rule: He who controls the gold makes the rules. Guess what; the Rothschild's control the Gold.
Drew Webster wrote the Political Brain and made an important point. Those with higher education are more susceptible to propaganda. It has also been said by Norm Chomsky and just about every book and sociologist in history. It is a well known fact among those who study human actions, the more indoctrinated you are, the easier you are to steer. The ironic paradox of course is that the more educated one is the less likely they are to accept that they are being manipulated.
The transformation that is quickly being brought upon us, or if you would rather, is unwittingly happening to us will be very painful. We have been patching the boat and many a man has said they hope it continues to hold through their life and their children's. But they don't support addressing the fundamental problems, the pain involved is to great. The slope has increased exponentially, while at the lower levels it was manageable and somewhat compensated by ingenuity and population growth we have passed the point of manageability. In fact we may have passed the point of no return.
It has been said, "we will not see it happen." One day we will awake to a new, a new way life, and a new way of living. Will it be better or worse? Are we as a nation becoming freer, less free or maintaining an acceptable level of freedom? Are we in a state of progression or moral, ethical and environmental retrogression? For hundreds of years little progress was made and generational gaps were almost nonexistent. But we have now moved into hyper generational inflation. A ten year age gap in today's post industrial revolution accompanied by technological advancement adjusted for inflation is equivalent to a thousand years. We are accelerating across black ice toward either a wall a cliff or a steep rocky incline. Our rate of growth is unsustainable and the danger of ignoring warning signs may speed up mankind's inevitable entropy, certainly Americas.
We had plenty a time to address the leaky ship but instead continued to patch it and move on. In proceeding forward never looking back, we attempted, or at least hoped to outgrow our problems, in doing we only exacerbated them. We have neglected for far too long to pit in for repairs and maintenance. Traveling far into first place all who pass before calamity may claim victory. All who are left in the vehicle must now deal with the wake, spinning out of control burred up fuel, blown head gasket, rods and a seized engine. Looking to the sky and then at the wall and then the blur of the other racers barreling toward appearing to also be out of control from the leaking oil we left behind, is this the end? Will our deceleration prevent us from a total crash and simply leave us banged up at the bottom of a ravine, or will we end up crushed under the weight of all those who are coming down behind us? Only time will tell and all we can do is be prepaid and vigilant.
