If you revere the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, and the principles of liberty upon which this country was founded; but see a national government exceeding its constitutional bounds with an interventionist foreign policy, burdensome regulations, suffocating taxes, and irresponsible spending; then please join Texas Congressman Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty. Dr. Ron Paul is a true statesman, a "Champion of the Constitution," a Thomas Jefferson of our generation.

The Campaign for Liberty needs you! Citizens like you help to govern the county, state and national parties. Party delegates make the rules, influence their peers, and choose candidates for the General Election! In every step of the process, it is essential that liberty-minded activists are engaged, active and numerous. Please sign up now with the Campaign for Liberty!

Thoughtfully consider how you can help to restore the Republic, preserve what freedoms we have, and reclaim those we have lost. Thomas Paine once said, "Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it." Decide now to DO SOMETHING in the Campaign for Liberty. Decide now to devote some time each day or week in the cause of freedom. Decide now to be a person of influence in your precinct.

In these web pages, you will find educational material well worth reading, activist tools well worth your time, and a Local Coordinator Training Program well worth your efforts. Yes, this campaign will require time and effort. As Ron Paul said, "Elections are short-term efforts. Revolutions are long-term projects." But it will be worth it. Your neighbor cannot do it all. I cannot do it all. No single person can guarantee our liberties. However, many good citizens throughout the country, each doing a little, CAN have the impact necessary to sustain freedom and guarantee our liberties.

In this campaign, we shoulder a four-fold mission: recruit, train, equip, and mobilize.

Recruit. We must recruit our fellow citizens to join us in this effort. There are about 2250 precincts in Tennessee. We need at least one leader in each precinct, and preferably two or three. Invite your civic-minded friends to join this campaign. (They can browse this web site without joining.) If they agree with what they find here, then they will naturally be inclined to join.

Train. Once you have joined the Campaign for Liberty, become a Local Coordinator, and begin the LC Boot Camp (web pages that help you to understand how politics works here in Tennessee). You will not be able to complete the Boot Camp in a single sitting. It will require time and effort. Once completed, however, your research will become a gold mine of information you will be able to reference at will as you stand up for liberty in this campaign.

Equip. This web site will equip you to be an effective activist. It is an infrastructure that enables us to prepare for various activities that will promote liberty. It helps us coordinate our activities. It helps us to share information and encouragement.

Mobilize. When your help is needed, you will be invited (usually via email or by general announcement on this web site) to help. It may be to attend a rally, host a book club, walk your precinct, attend a political meeting, or talk to a legislator. Whatever it is, I hope you will embrace the opportunity with enthusiasm. And if you feel as though you are not doing enough, then organize something in your neighborhood, community, or county, and promote liberty.

A number of good people already are making good things happen--throughout the state. Please join us. Be a part of it. Make history.

JBMcCord

11/22/09 2:30 PM  Rally for Sound Money

TNCampaignforLiberty Eric Sharp with YAL, and of course END THE FED.us will be hosting a sound money event later this month. Details are soon to follow with a growing number of speakers being added.

11/24/09 6:00 PM  DCRP Matt Collins removal hearing

As you may know the Davidson County Republican party is seeking to remove Matt Collins from his position as vice chair because he called out bailout and big labor supporter Zack Wamp who is running for governor. Please come out if you can to show Matt your support. It's time to speak truth to power.

01/30/10 2:00 PM  Meet the Candidates Debate

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Nov. 11) - The Chattanooga Tea Party and Campaign for Liberty are joining together to sponsor a series of LiberTea Debates in preparation for the 2010 elections. The first of these public debates will feature the seven announced Republican candidates for Tennessee's Third Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives on Saturday, January 30, 2010, from 2-5 p.m. at Woodland Park Baptist Church. The debate will be free and open to the public.

The seven candidates who expressed a commitment to participate in the first debate are Tommy Crangle, Chuck Fleischmann, Tim Gobble, Greg Goodwin, Van Irion, Arthur Rhodes and Robin Smith.

The media is invited to cover this debate as a public service to help inform voters of the choices they will face. At the conclusion of the debate, each participating candidate will be provided with a private room to meet with attendees and answer their questions, thus allowing attending citizens to interact directly with candidates and further discuss issues of interest to them.

"Members of our respective groups who have participated in Tea Party protests and town hall meetings expressed a strong interest in finding out more about candidates in next year's elections through public debates," explained Mark West, Chattanooga Tea Party president. "Since the current 3rd District representative, Zach Wamp, is running for governor, there's a particularly strong interest in this open race."

The Chattanooga Tea Party and the Chattanooga area Campaign for Liberty are both non-partisan grassroots organizations that are seeking to educate and inform their members and the public at large of the fundamental issues and struggles our country is facing. Additionally we are committed to energizing voters to become engaged in the process of solving the nation's problems.

Had a great day at the Shriner's Gun Show Today. Great to see everyone who came out, Good work spreading the good constitutional news!

Between the Libertarian Partiers, Constitutional Defender, Candidate for Tn Gov. Joe Kirkpatrick (not an endorsement), a lil Oath-keepers information and Us, We had that show on a constitutional law "lock down". As always we handed out as many CfL Declaration/Bill of Rights sheets as would be taken, engaged everyone, and gave Constitutions to the young people.

We entered into most conversations with constitutional perspectives on current issues and freedom, and had many lively interactions. Of course all the while facilitating education, with key books, literature and information available or on display.

All in all, another great show.

A special thanks goes out to Dan Rawls and Michael Scallia, keep up the amazing jobs guys!

This month's meeting will be another fun and interactive one. Issues on the table will be numerous, of which will be a local focus and highly informative. Metro Government, County Sheriffs, Sound Money and protect your Finances, Constitutional Approaches, ect.

Have a good Liberty question for a candidate? Have a topic you would like to learn more about? Show up and/or let us know!

We are actively involved in making the LiberTea Debate, Jan. 30th, a bastion of American Freedom and a clear message to our congress.

Do not miss this one, and as always invite everyone you can to weigh in or sit in. (November 17th, Tues at 7, Lee Hwy. "Ryans")

Recently there has been some issues with our meet-up site. These issues caused administration errors with the account and as a result sent notification errors to all members. This was very very quickly resolved by our account admin, the always awesome Jeremy Clifton.

I Jeremy Dahl still proudly serve as facilitator and coordinator for the Campaign for Liberty in Hamilton County Tennessee. Thanks to everyone who quickly responded with care and concern.

      Dear Freedom Lovers,

Americans are now enduring tyranny equal to or greater than what
the colonialist received from the King.  Our courts are corrupt, enforcement of
our great Constitution is selective at best, and the legislatures are spending
us into bankruptcy.  However, our founding fathers fought tyranny and prevailed
and so will we.

A personal passion of mine is restoring our lost right to
travel free of restrictions.  We have the natural unalienable right to travel intrastate just as we
do between the states, regardless of the states' wanton disregard for this
right. Because  the state has called our right to travel a privilege, we are now  facing draconian national ID legislation through Real ID and
the Pass Act.

But our fight against excessive government is making progress.  For the first time since the war between the states, we are
seeing the  states buck the federal government, enacting legislation that points  the way to a return of supreme sovereignty to the individual.  I want Congressional investigations into whether  the 14th, 16th and 17th amendments were ever Constitutionally ratified.

We  cannot let down our guard.  We must remain diligent.  We must continue  to take the fight for individual freedoms to those who wish to take  ours away.  Accountability for all levels
of government is  essential.  For a more complete discussion of my positions call me at  (865) 856-0814 any day but Sunday from 9-9 or

We had the honor of witnessing a true patriot, Sheriff Mack, in Knoxville hosted by East TN Research Institute.Sheriff Mack Click his pic to visit his web site. Also, please take the time and invest a little for getting a copy of his book to your local sheriff.

While your at it Laughing, pay your local sheriff's office a visit and see if he takes his oath of office seriously.

Impress upon your sheriff how we depend on his office to have the final authority to trump Federal abuses of power like home invasion, forfeitures, etc. without due process.

Yes, he has that power.

Why is Senator "Bailout Bob" Corker against monetary transparency?

Senator "Bailout Bob" Corker has introduced a bill to audit the Federal Reserve. At first glance this might seem like a step in the right direction, except that he is behind the curve because there is already a bill in the US Senate to audit the Federal Reserve. It's called The Federal Reserve Sunshine Act of 2009 or S604. Its counterpart is HR1207 which already has significant grassroots and Congressional support with 303 and 30 sponsors in the House and Senate respectively.

What is wrong with simply co-sponsoring the pre-existing S604 bill that calls for a full audit of the Federal Reserve system?

The bill that Senator "Bailout Bob" Corker has introduced is a watered down and neutered version of S604. His bill allows for an audit of TARP and other bailouts (which by the way he voted for) but unlike S604 his bill does not allow for a full audit of the Federal Reserve, particularly it's inflation of the money supply or its agreements with other foreign central banks. The value of our currency is at the hands of the Federal Reserve and to turn a blind eye to what the Fed is doing under the cover of secrecy and darkness is both irresponsible and dangerous.

So the question becomes why Senator "Bailout Bob" Corker is so eager to compromise on an audit of the Federal Reserve? Why is Senator "Bailout Bob" Corker against monetary transparency? What's he trying to hide? Who is he trying to protect?

It is interesting to note that some of Senator "Bailout Bob" Corker's top contributors consist of PACs and employees from the following companies:

UBS/AG
Merrill Lynch
Regions Financial
First TN Bank

Also worth pointing out that the financial / insurance sector was the largest of all the sectors giving to Senator "Bailout-Bob" Corker's campaign at $3 million; again no relation to his position is implied. See http://www.opensecrets.org for more details on who is backing Sen Corker and others.

And officially the Campaign for Liberty issued a press release on this today:

Also relevant to the back story are my two previous posts relating to Senator "Bailout Bob" Corker's views on the unconstitutional Federal Reserve:

Senator Corker (R-TN): "Federal Reserve should remain independent"
and
Has Senator Corker Actually Read the US Constitution?

Yesterday I wrote a blog pointing out Representative "Zigzag Zach" Wamp's support for unionizing police, fire, and medical services across the country by cosponsoring HR413. Almost simultaneously and unbeknown to me the TN Republican Party sent out a message asking for opposition against a "big union, big labor" Democrat candidate in the 62nd district.

You can view their letter here:
http://politics.nashvillepost.com/2009/10/07/desperate-times-call-for-desperate-
fundraising-appeals/

The State Party obviously holds the idea that "big labor and big union" candidates should be defeated. Basic logic would show that if A=B and B=C then A=C. If the TN Republican Party is asking voters to vote against "big union and big labor" candidates, and Rep "Zigzag Zach" Wamp supports federal legislation for the unionization of emergency service employees, does that mean that the TN Republican Party is de facto asking voters to also vote against Rep "Zigzag-Zach" Wamp?
