Here's a great song dedicated to Rand Paul's Senate Campaign from a local Bucks County Campaign for Liberty supporter.
A few weeks ago, Rand Paul's Senate Campaign was contacted by the rock band, Rush. The band asked Rand to stop using their music for their campaign promotions. As a lifelong Rush fan, this Campaign for Liberty supporter wrote a song, "There's a Party Going On" dedicated to Rand Paul and all his supporters nationwide.
The songwriter didn't want Rush's decision to leave Rand without a song to promote his campaign. He hopes Rand Paul will use this song at his victory celebration in November and it will help him spread his message of Liberty.
Please share this song with everyone you know and help spread Rand's message.

March 24, 2010
Dear Friends,
Yesterday, we passed one of the most important bills in a generation.
Despite the confusion and outright lies that have surrounded this bill, make no mistake: health insurance reform will provide crucial protections to ensure that Americans get the healthcare that they and their children need.
Forty million American families and four million small businesses will benefit from the largest middle-class healthcare tax credit in history. Barbara in Feasterville worked hard for forty years before losing her job at the age of 58. Overnight, Barbara was facing $1,300 in monthly premiums - more than her pension and more than she can afford. Her healthcare plan? Hope that she doesn't fall seriously ill before she qualifies for Medicare. This tax credit protects Barb, and millions like her, by ensuring access to high-quality and affordable insurance.
Small businesses are not required to purchase insurance but will get tax credits if they do. Insurance reform provides $40 billion in small businesses tax credits to help companies cover up to half the cost of providing insurance for their workers.
Seniors will see stronger and improved Medicare benefits. And you don't have to take my word for it: AARP has endorsed the bill stating that it "cracks down on insurance company abuses and protects and strengthens guaranteed benefits in Medicare, the program millions of our members depend on and in which millions more will soon enroll."
Tony in Levittown needs an expensive medication to treat his thyroid condition and is pushed into the Medicare Part D donut hole earlier and earlier each year. Tony, along with 11,200 other seniors in Bucks County, will benefit from lower prescription drug costs, as the Part D "donut hole" is closed. And seniors' Medicare program is put on a stable financial footing, ensuring this vital program will be there to serve seniors today and those of future generations.
Insurance companies no longer have free reign over our health insurance system, as we prohibited the egregious practices they've gotten away with for far too long. Insurers can no longer turn people away, or charge more, because someone has arthritis, diabetes, is a cancer survivor, is pregnant - or has any other "pre-existing condition." And they can no longer pull the rug out from families by taking away their coverage just when someone gets sick and needs coverage the most. These important changes will benefit everyone and those on the frontlines of our healthcare system agree: the doctors, nurses, and hospital associations have all endorsed the bill.
And children will be able to stay on their parents' insurance until they are 26 years old, helping out recent high-school or college graduates like Valerie from Dublin who is unable to find a job that offers benefits.
When my two kids grow up, they will know that their dad stood up to the special interests to fight for Barb, Tony, and every middle-class American family whose wallets are being stretched thin by crushing healthcare costs. They will be able to look upon yesterday as the day Congress stopped kicking the can down the road and finally tackled one of the greatest challenges of our day.

Sincerely,
Patrick J. Murphy MEMBER OF CONGRESS
Congressman Murphy,
Thank you for your update on the much publicized Health Care legislation. Your update fails to cover a few points of concern raised during this national debate.
As a former Military Officer, I know that you take your oath of office seriously. When you joined Congress, you swore first and foremost to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. That being said, can you update me on what provision in the Constitution explicitly authorizes you to enact this form of legislation?
The Health care Bill, for the first time in history, imposes a requirement (backed by IRS force) on all Americans to purchase a service against their will for simply being a citizen. This amounts to involuntary servitude as described in the 13th amendment. Americans must labor to pay for a service they are now forced to obtain or face threats and coercion.
If you cite authority from the Interstate Commerce Clause, I fail to see the correlation. If an American refuses to purchase health insurance, they are refusing to engage in Commerce! In addition, it was the Federal Government that declared health insurance couldn't be purchased across state lines, which eliminated choices and drove up prices. Now, the Federal government says they have authority over commerce which is governed by the states! In regard to the states, the tenth amendment explains that any power not clearly granted to the Federal Government is reserved to the states or the people.
Unless you can explain to me otherwise, I fail to see how you upheld your oath to defend the Constitution. I realize many of these arguments are for the Supreme Court to decide but the Health care reform Bill is clearly in violation of too many Constitutional principles to be passed without a proper explanation by Congress of the Enumerated power that exists to enact this legislation.
You mentioned your kids in your letter. I would like to know how you explain to them how their freedoms and rights as Americans were diminished as a result of your actions and how their generation will pay the bill for this program?
While the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has publicly reported with pie in the sky statistics this will somehow miraculously reduce the deficit by shrinking benefits to Medicare recipients; independent researchers, including former CBO directors, have confirmed it will add another trillion dollars to our already unserviceable national debt.
Any clarification on these issues would be greatly appreciated.
It's supposed to be illegal for Congress to touch Social Security funds but they do it anyway. If this isn't a reason to get rid of every single incumbent (Repubs & Dems) who voted for increased spending, I don't know what is...
The state of Maryland is watching Atlas Shrugged play out in real life...
A recent tax hike on the state's wealthiest people was expected to funnel an extra $106 million into state coffers last year. Instead, tax revenues drained from successful people plummeted... and the number of successful filers plummeted as well.
Sure, the recession damaged incomes, but it's obvious some people are leaving the state... rather than stick around and pay for hundreds of thousands of moochers. Bravo!

An educated public is an essential ingredient of a free society. Ambitious governments would have far greater difficulty implementing schemes that undermine liberty and prosperity were they faced with an informed and vigilant population.
In that spirit, we have assembled these resources to help you learn more about some of the pressing issues of our time. The resources you'll find here include books (many of which we link to in free online versions) and articles, as well as audio and video available online and for free download. We receive many requests from people wondering what they should read to learn more about free societies. These resources, to which we intend to add periodically, will go a long way toward satisfying this demand.
The Federal Reserve Transparency Act, Now Has 282 Co-Sponsors!!!
Encourage your representitive to support HR 1207 - the Federal Reserve Transparency Act. The Fed is a private institution and is therefore not subject to normal Governmental Freedom of Information requests, as Bloomberg recently found out. HR 1207 will help to reveal where the Fed is funnelling trillions of dollars of taxpayer's money.

I am writing you today in opposition to your support for the Healthcare Reform Bill. I have read the most recent draft (all 850 pages of it), and am more then concerned.
I am not a monster, and hate to see someone without healthcare coverage have something happen to them. Been there done that, and am still paying the bill. Yet it is my bill to pay, not that of my fellow citizens. As such, I believe I am more then qualified to make the following statement:
Before you pledge your support for the Bill, I think you should be aware of the following. What I am about to tell you is not an opinion of mine, but hard fact.
1- This bill will cause a huge increase in government spending. The only way for the government to pay for it, would be to either raise taxes, or borrow more money from the Federal Reserve and China in the form of Treasury notes and bonds. Either way, the debt will fall on your constituents - aka, we the people.
2- The bill only pays for those who make under $43,000/year, or $88,000/y with a family of four. This eliminates nearly your entire county of being able to use it as a primary form of healthcare. In all actuality, this will prevent the Average middle class family from being able to use it. Unless of course they pay more into it. In the end, everyone pays for it, but only the lower class can actually use it to its fullest.
3- Now I do not mind helping the poor, but by implementing this bill, all of the US will be dragged down. I was taught to believe that an individual can do as they please as long as it does not infringe upon the rights of other. Is the exception to this rule government infringement?
4- Once enacted, Hospitals, Drug Companies, Doctors, Insurance Companies, and all services that link them will take massive pay cuts. Those with private plans or without insurance at all will be forced to pay more to make up the difference to allow the Hospitals to make up the loss (keep in mind most hospitals are hurting already due to the system we already have). Drug companies will take a hit for the same reason as the Hospitals, and the same people will suffer even more. Ditto on the insurance companies. This point can be honestly summarized by saying that only those Hospitals, Drug Companies, Doctors, and Insurance Companies who partake of the governments plan, will do okay - at least for awhile. Once again, the middle class (most of your represented county) takes the hit.
5- Once this government program does the same thing similar programs have always done before, it will fail. By fail I do not mean that the hospital will be insolvent, but that more people will have to wait for more procedures, the middle class will continue to be hurt, and the program will continue to run up massive amounts of debt.
If you read this and do not change your mind, then I have no reason to believe that my government is anything more then a roomful of flapping heads. First off, it would mean that my freedom is taken away and replaced with an outright socialistic/fascist hybrid. It would mean that you care nothing for your people, and only follow the politically correct idea of the day vs. the morally right.
However, you are an ex-US Army Captain. I swore the same oath you did - To protect and defend the constitution of the United Stated, against all enemies foreign and domestic. Just because the enemy holds a pen and not a gun, does not make them any less dangerous. I believe you will change your position because you are not a liar. I believe you will change your position because you are a good man with good values, and are smart enough to see through this political scam. I believe that you will change you position because if you do not, then we the people, will have to suffer even more then we already do, giving up more and more freedoms each day to support what might as well be a cold war Russia. From one ex soldier to another, please reconsider.
Patrick Murphy supports the "Cap and Trade" - "American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009," H.R. 2454, also known as the Waxman-Markey climate change bill. Congress plans to vote on this TOMORROW, Friday, June 26th.
We must not provide the federal government with new powers to regulate businesses that would lead to thousands of dollars of new expenses per year.
If you agree, PLEASE PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL PATRICK MURPHY'S OFFICE THIS AFTERNOON. The number of his DC office is: (202) 225-4276.
I just called and the phone call took less than 5 minutes. I spoke to a woman named Stephanie. This is what I said:
"I am calling to notify Patrick Murphy that I am opposed to H.R. 2454 - the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009"
"I am opposed because this bill would establish a whole new level unconstitutional activity of the federal government and bring more regulation AND it will lead to increased expenses for American households"
"I feel so strongly about this that if Patrick Murphy supports this bill, I will not support him in any reelection bid."
You may also fax his office at (202) 225-9511 or you could email him here
Patrick Murphy spoke with us following his "Congress on your Corner" community outreach program. We presented him with information on HR1207. He was not only familiar with the legislation but agreed to pledge his support upon his return to Congress this week. It's good to have Congressman Patrick Murphy on board as a co-sponsor.
