Much of what is done under the guise of national security does not make any sense to most Americans. In order to understand, we need to look behind the curtain. Like so many things lately, DHS and TSA appear to be one thing, but they are something completely different.
If we look at the TSA detaining an eight year old boy because his name is on the No Fly list, or we look at a woman forced to drink her own expressed breast milk to prove it isn't toxic or explosive, or we look at quilt artists forced to deface their art in order to keep their promise to be at an event, or we wonder at a long line of adults taking their shoes off and walking through airport security in stocking feet, or we look at Steve Bierfeldt being detained and harassed and cussed at and threatened because he was transporting some of the Campaign for Liberty's money through an airport, or we look at septuagenarian women detained as drug trafficking suspects, then it's difficult to see any reasonable explanation for the government's behavior.
Our confusion is caused by the context. In the context of providing security, these actions make no sense at all. Whenever the pretense doesn't fit the observable facts, we should look at the events and infer a context under which the government's actions do make sense.
The primary goal of the Department of Homeland Security is not homeland security, and the primary goal of the Transportation Security Administration is not transportation security. Most of the people who work in those bureaucracies probably believe those are their jobs, so they must hire people with a high threshold for logical fallacy and institutionalized bureaucratic stupidity.
The primary purpose of the DHS and TSA and their reason for being is to intimidate people and acclimate them to the idea that they have no individual rights and they must obey the government no matter how ridiculous the government demands may be.
If Simon says, "Put your hands on your head!", then you put your hands on your head.
If Simon says, "Spread your feet apart!", then you spread your feet apart.
If Simon says, "Put your hands behind your back!", then you put your hands behind your back.
If Simon says, "Get on the boxcar!", then you get on the boxcar.
If Simon says, "Get off the boxcar!", then you get off the boxcar.
If Simon says, "Dig a ditch!", then you dig a ditch.
If Simon says, "Form a line next to this ditch!", then you form a line next to the ditch.

Got it?
It all makes sense once you see the real purpose behind the publicly stated purpose.
Why else would there be signs at airport security areas informing us that it's a federal crime to make a joke about the airport security procedures? If we look behind the curtain and laugh at the Great and Powerful Oz, then he loses all of his power.
WAKE UP! YOU'VE OVERSLEPT! IT'S ALMOST TOO LATE TO FIX YOUR COUNTRY!

Ron Paul's son, Dr. Rand Paul has expressed an interest in the US Senate seat if Jim Bunning decides not to seek reelection in 2010.
Rand will be speaking at this month's Kentucky Center Right meeting, March 19th 2009 at 6:30 PM.
The Inn 1301 South Broadway Lexington KY 40504
It would be nice to have a large crowd expressing support for Rand Paul in an upcoming campaign.

Dear Representative Chandler,
I would like to voice to you my displeasure over your representation of me and Central Kentucky through your current term thus far. I was one of the many who committed themselves to voting for you during the election for your stand against the bailouts. Even though you ran unopposed, I felt comfortable giving you my vote. However, as of late your actions have given me serious pause in that regard.
You voted for the stimulus package that for all intents and purposes should have been voted against for the same logic you voted against the bailouts. So it appears to me you are more about politics than what is right for the Commonwealth of Kentucky or this Union. I then asked you to become a sponsor of HR 1207 calling for transparency in the Federal Reserve Bank. Instead of complying you sent out a noncommittal letter of concern that apparently you sent to everybody. I asked for sponsorship or a letter as to why you are not for transparency and sound monetary policy for the United States. In fact, you got a couple of items wrong in your brief letter that makes me wonder if, one, you should even have been elected, and two, that the Federal Reserve needs an audit now more than ever.
You are wrong, sir, when you say the Federal Reserve is a federal entity, it is not. The Federal Reserve is a private central bank the congress has unconstitutionally given the authority to control our monetary policy thus wrecking our economy. Check the Communist Manifesto. You will find a central bank to be a communist concept. This brings me to another issue with your letter. Last I checked, this was a capitalist economy with a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy. If you are unaware of this fact, then you have no business being mine or anyone else's representative in congress.
Now, just yesterday you voted for the Cap and Trade bill that would essentially devastate this economy for very little positive environmental impact if any, especially for Kentucky. The science may not be settled on anthropogenic climate change, but the science does show that the European policies already in place have had very little positive impact on the environment. This bill will increase energy cost, drive down productivity, create more job losses and increase taxes on the American public. In fact, it would create a derivatives market that will line the pockets of a minority at the expense of citizens. What makes this even more maddening is I know there is no humanly possible way for you or any other member of congress to have read this legislation, yet a slim majority voted for it. Even one of the sponsors (Waxman) admitted as much, but apparently reading and understanding legislation you are sent to vote on is not a high priority anymore.
So as you can see your record since this past election is not good for me, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, or the United States. Your lack of knowledge of how this system is supposed to operate according to the Constitution is abysmal. Therefore, I will not support you in 2010. In fact we the citizens of the 6th District will work hard to find an individual capable of replacing you and providing real representation in Washington D.C.
Sincerely,
Christopher Southworth

Our Central Kentucky Campaign For Liberty group participated in the Lexington Kentucky Independence Day Parade. We had Big Bad Uncle Sam and General Motors. We didn't want to portray Uncle Sam as a lovable grandfather figure because we think the federal government has grown way too large and is a big part of our nation's problems, so we had a Big Bad Uncle Sam on drywall stilts and five large pillows stuffed into a grossly over sized Uncle Sam costume. He was over eight feet tall with the top hat, and over three feet wide... with a pig nose! We passed out trillion dollar bills with Bernanke's face on them and the back was a mini-ad for the Campaign For Liberty. We gave out over 500 of those, legislative action refrigerator magnets, official C4L recruiting brochures, pocket Constitutions, Bill of Rights bookmarks, etc. Here's Big Bad Uncle Sam with five year old Olivia and her mom Ginny as General Motors. Olivia handed out campaign literature for her 2040 presidential bid. She has a very small government platform. And like Ginny's sign says, "GM Will Brown Nose For Bailouts!"

About a third of the crowd of 50,000 didn't seem to get Big Bad Uncle Sam, about a third got it and LOVED the parody of Big Government, and about a third hated it. A few of those big government advocates heckled us! Big Bad Uncle Sam was loud and overbearing. He promised people he'd print their stimulus checks out of thin air, but he'd take half of it back in taxes. General Motors was begging him for money. Bazz and Darren carried a "We're All About Some Freedom In Kentucky" banner. Wes and Paul carried the Campaign For Liberty banner. Scott and Mike passed out literature to the crowd. I had a good idea what I'd say to the crowd as Big Bad Uncle Sam, but I was surprised that when I was in character, I was channeling some Dave Chappelle angry character (minus any racial overtones and profanity). I'd tell the crowd: "Hiya' taxpayers! Gimme all your money! I'm broke! And I need a few billion dollars to give to GM for their next bailout!" Kids liked Big Bad Uncle Sam. "Hiya' future taxpayers! Save your money, 'cause I'll be taxing you in ten years! You're gonna have to pay for these huge deficits! It's all on you, little future tax payers!" The kids liked it when I talked to them. They didn't understand the message, but their parents surely did. Hopefully, they felt some shame for allowing our non-representatives to give trillions to their corporate buddies and making our kids pay for this corporate fascist socialist travesty. I'd pick out the couple of people in each group that seemed to get Big Bad Uncle Sam the most and I'd engage them to make it personal. That seemed to be the best way to get the point across to the rest of the crowd. "Your stimulus check is in the mail! I printed them out of thin air this morning, so it's going to cause massive inflation and the rest of your money will be worth less! Ha ha ha! I give you a check but I get all the money!" I'd wave my five foot tall cane at the crowd and yell, "I'm Big Government, and I'm taxing all of you fine taxpayers! I've grown way too big, living large on your tax dollars. It's the 4th of July, and you just now finished working to pay all of your taxes for this year! Ha ha ha!" As I was leaving, I'd wave back to the crowd and bellow, "Tax ya' later!" My favorite part was passing in front of the reviewing stand. Local TV personalities were there, along with some of the city council. There was a very nice introduction to the Campaign For Liberty, explaining how we're working for individual liberty and smaller government. Then I swept my big cane across the entire reviewing stand and shouted, "I'm taxing all of you people!" I pointed the cane directly at mayor Newberry, leaned toward him, locked eyes with him, and I boomed, "I'm taxing YOU mayor! I'm Big Government!" His eyebrows shot up and he and the local CBS news anchor had this look on their faces that seemed to say, "Holy crap! What is THIS?" Next year, there will probably be some tighter qualifications, with all parade applicants required to submit a description of what their parade entry will be. We can't allow people to make fun of Big Government like that. Heh heh heh. After the parade, we walked over to the TEA party at the courthouse and we mixed with the TEA Party folks and gave away the last of our trillion dollar bills and posed with 912ers who wanted a picture with Big Bad Uncle Sam. Big Bad Uncle Sam appears for a few seconds, about two minutes into this video from the local newspaper.

Hopefully, our dark comedy street theater we got some people thinking about the adverse role of Big Government in their lives.
If anyone wants me to email them the file for the trillion dollar Bernanke bucks with the C4L mini-ad on the back, just send me a message with your email address.

Someone put up an online poll to gauge support for the people who have expressed an interest in the 2010 US Senate race in Kentucky. They must not remember the online polls from the 2008 presidential race where Ron Paul was almost always the favorite and usually won by a landslide.
It's happening again in the online polling for Kentucky's US Senate race, where Rand Paul is currently running 77%, the incumbent Jim Bunning is polling at 8%, and the GOP's heir apparent to the throne, hand picked by Senator Mitch "TARP-1 Bailout" McConnell himself, Trey Grayson, is in a distant second place with 14%.

Trey Grayson was a delegate for Bill Clinton, if that gives you any idea what's going on in the neocon owned GOP. They get their butts handed to them in a couple of consecutive elections, and they still can't help but run these RINO candidates, and their apologist GOPbots just keep on saying that Ron Paul is a "kook", even though everything he said about our economy is happening before their eyes. I wish I could wake up from this slow motion train wreck Republican nightmare.
