Just a reminder that next week we are having two very important events in Monroe County. All CFL members as encouraged to come help out!
Next Wednesday, April 15th is Tax Day, and so there are many different protests going on across the country. YAL has teamed up with over 20 other organizations to form the Tax Day Coalition http://www.taxdaycoalition.com If you haven't yet, go to the website and sign up as a protestor! There is already a page for the Bloomington Tea Party which is happening at the same time and place as our protest. Make sure to RSVP on our event page:
Next Saturday, April 18th is the CFL Monroe County meeting. This is a very important meeting to come to if you want to become active as a Local Leader in the CFL. We will give you the information you need to become an effective liberty activist! Here is the event page:
The Young Americans for Liberty at Indiana University will be represented by at least two members at the first-ever C4L Regional Conference (there are apparently 8 more in the works) in St. Louis, MO. If there is anyone in southern Indiana or Illinois who needs a ride I would be glad to take you there and back. Just call me 219-614-2849 or e-mail me awsharp@indiana.edu and let me know where I should pick you up. We will most likely leave early afternoon Friday, as registration opens at 5:30pm that day and MapQuest is saying it should take 4 hours to get there. We also gain an hour going there, and lose it again coming back.

PAOLI, Ind. -- Saying many Hoosiers are becoming troubled by the prospect of trillion-dollar federal deficits, Paoli attorney Todd Young today filed papers with the Federal Election Commission to create an exploratory campaign committee for Indiana’s Ninth Congressional District.
Connie Nass, former Indiana State Auditor and mayor of Huntingburg, is serving as treasurer of the committee, and State Sen. Brent Steele, R-Bedford, is serving as a senior adviser.

The film delves into the issue of the Federal Reserve Bank, the Income Tax, and the IRS and then turns to recent developments such as the North American Union and the REAL ID. Ron Paul even makes an appearance in the film! Everyone is encouraged to attend. We will have cookies donated by Baked! of Bloomington and free literature to hand out.
