Erich "Mancow" Muller, a Chicago-based conservative radio host, recently decided to silence critics of waterboarding once and for all. He would undergo the procedure himself, and then he would be able to confidently convince others that it is not, in fact, torture.

Or so he thought. Instead, Muller came out convinced.

"It is way worse than I thought it would be, and that's no joke," Mancow said. "It is such an odd feeling to have water poured down your nose with your head back... It was instantaneous... and I don't want to say this: absolutely torture."

A flier emphasizing our May 22nd Freedom Celebration with Dr. Paul and Tom Woods at the Seattle Conference has been added to the Materials section to help you spread the word about this free and open-to-the-public event!  If you're in the Seattle area or the surrounding states, don't miss this chance to see two giants of the liberty movement.

Political training will take center stage on Saturday, May 23rd, as we bring experts to Seattle to strengthen your understanding of history and teach you how to recruit, train, equip, and mobilize for success.  A highlight of this training will be Tom Woods' Foundations of Liberty School, The States vs. D.C.: Episodes in American History They Don't Teach in School.

With the tremendous momentum behind HR 1207 bringing cosponsors onto the bill faster than the Library of Congress' list can keep up, it is especially critical that we go into battle with a firm grasp of the political process and an understanding of how to most effectively articulate our message.  Be sure to keep checking our Agenda page for more details on the training sessions.

As those who attended our St. Louis Conference know, Conference space is sure to fill up fast, so register today!  A discounted rate is available for dues-paying members and students.  Attendees wishing to stay at the Doubletree Hotel can take advantage of the special C4L room rate here.
