Hi all, Here is a Letter to one of my US Senators ... on the subject of the "privately owned" US federal reserve ...for reference....that I just sent. I sent the same thing to my other U.S. Senator (Grassley) also. Hope some of you will take the time to contact your Senators as well. Use the text/format below if you want. Time is of the essence, so please act now if you are inclined to do so. This is another key thing you can do right now that can help your country! Thanks, Paul
Dear Senator Harkin,
Please audit the Fed and DON'T increase the Fed's power.
I am aware that the Audit the Fed is currently in H.R. 4173 and is a financial "reform" package that has passed the House. I also know that soon the Senate will unveil its version.
In addition to stripping out transparency and accountability, I understand the Senate version is might grant the Fed broad new powers over our economy by putting the Consumer Financial Protection Agency under the Fed's oversight. The same Fed that won't tell us where our trillions of dollars went is going to be put in charge of "consumer protection? This is the wrong answer for the American people and our great country.
Please stand with Ron Paul on this issue and support a Real Audit of the Fed. Thomas Jefferson was right when he said: I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation and then deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs."
If that is not enough, please see some of Andrew Jackson's writings on the matter. Please, for the sake of our country and the fine people in it, help us take the control back from the central bankers. Please Audit the Fed and above all else, certainly DO NOT increase the Fed's power.
Thank you for your serious consideration of my request!
Sincerely, Paul J. Hellman, Fort Madison, Iowa
