Campaign For Liberty: lmtdgov

With the recent presidential election and bailouts I have become dissolussioned with the republican party so I began reading more about that odd congressman from Texas. In my disgust with the condidate choices during the primaries I chose not to follow the potential choices that much so I never bothered to learn much about RP. I do recall seeing him interviewed a few times and hearing about his campaign's fundraising successes, but I dismissed him as an outside shot with some crazy foreign policy ideas (I really liked his domestic ideas right off the bat, but again, I was fed up with a presidential campain that was lasting for an eternity). When it came down to my two choices for president, I could not bring myself to vote for either one of them (I admit I prefer mccain, but I am tired of voiting for the lesser of two poor choices) so I began researching RP. That led me to buying his book and then I was sold. I feel like in the past I have been living in the dark, when it comes to politics, only knowing what was fed to me by the major news networks and clinging to my thoughts of what both major parties represented.
I feel like we are in a perfect storm for the continued loss of liberty in America. Bush and republicans in congress had a chance to make big changes in our country and instead they only made things worse. This has handed all the power to the most liberal democrats and given them a mandate to impose their socialist ideals on all Americans. I hope and pray that the liberty message will continue to grow and combat the further loss of freedom in America. |
