I work as a consultant in the industrial construction industry and have been a political activist for over fifteen years.  I was drawn to the Liberty Movement about ten years ago.  I first met Ron Paul at an event in 2000 and have followed his efforts ever since.

I haven't kept up with the political games in Harrisburg. I am not familiar with the bill you are talking about regarding swiping driver's licenses. Could you provide more detail?

Good day, Volunteers,

Today I made a trip to Harrisburg to visit with our elected officials, although most were not there since they are on recess this week. However, I did get to speak with several staff members. I provided a printout of the bill providing for the electronic swiping of a driver's license or identification card. We are asking Senators to be a prime sponsor for this bill.

I visited the following Senator's offices: Senator Earll from Erie, Senator Eichelberger from Hollidaysburg, Senator Leach from King of Prussia, Senator Piccola from Halifax, Senator Robbins from Greenville, Senator Vogel from Rochester, Senator Wall from York, Senator D. White from Indiana, Senator M.J. White from Franklin, Senator Williams from Philadelphia, and Senator Yaw from Williamsport.

If any of these Senators are your Senator, please give them a call and ask them to consider being a prime sponsor of the bill to provide for the electronic swiping of a driver's license or identification card. The bill limits a business to swiping a card for verifying age, legal requirements, transmitting financial data and preventing fraud, abuse or material misrepresentation. It will prevent businesses from capturing data on the card and using it for mailing lists or selling the data.

I also spoke with Representative Sam Rohrer. He has sent out a memorandum requesting co-sponsorship on a State Sovereignty Resolution with respect to the federal government overstepping their authority. To date, 10 states are addressing this issue. They include New Hampshire, South Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Hawaii, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, and Washington State.

Sam only has 19 co-sponsors so far and he could use our help in encouraging our Representatives to co-sponsor his Resolution. One of our volunteers sent me the following link, which includes a video of Representative Rohrer and the Resolution. Please review it and contact your Representative and ask him/her to support the Resolution.

Thanks for all your support. Our goal is to restore our Republic and maintain our rights.

Yours in Liberty,

Jim
