I received this email from Rep. Kohls this moring.
--------------------------------------------------------
Friends,
I held a press conference at the State Capitol today to announce a new effort to fix Minnesota’s government spending problem. My website - www.MNSpendingFreeze.com - details the massive growth in government spending over the last two decades and gives you the chance to sign a petition calling for a budget freeze to deal with the pending deficit. Simply put, we the taxpayers cannot afford a Legislature that spends money hand over fist without regard to our ability to pay for it.
I encourage you to visit www.MNSpendingFreeze.com, see the information and sign the petition. Also, please send it to your friends so they can get on board too. The more support, the better our ability to deliver the message to my colleagues that enough is enough, it’s time to get serious about controlling government spending.
Thank you,
Paul

Channel 4 news in Minneapolis reported this morning on the Senate's bailout vote last night. Of course, Senator Norm Coleman was featured. He explained that he received 10,000 - 15,000 phone calls opposing the bailout, and about a hundred or so in favor.
But Senator Coleman voted yes anyway. He said it was the right thing to do. Since his employers don't seem to be his constituents, I think it's time to throw him out of office.

BonnieBon56 Chaska, MN | How about sending him a "pink slip" explaining why you won't be voting for him on November 4th? Write up your letter "You're Fired" on pink stationery? I heard about this in an email my husband forwarded to me.... I think it's a great idea! Not just for Norm, but for all the Representatives that betrayed their constituents with this travesty.
What do you think?

JVenske Waconia, MN | Hi you all! I'm new here. I just wanted to comment that I agree that we need to vote out Norm Coleman. My question, though, is this: is there anyone running the senate who stands for our Constitution and liberty? Someone who really listens to their constituents? I know that it may not be likely that someone who isn't named Coleman, Franken or Barkley will get elected. However, I'm done voting for the lesser of the evils. I will vote by principle or I won't vote in the part of the ballot at all. Any ideas? |
