I could use a better health care petition. I have to make copies and that can be expensive, so I need a petition that can fit some names on it. If anyone knows of a good one please send me a link or put it in an e-mail; thanks!

I have a Microsoft doc. petition, it allows 7 signatures, but you can add signatures in the wide bottom margin if you need to. I like it the best of all the formats I've used. Email me through the site and give me your email address, like, "joel@gmail.com" or whatever it may be, because I don't think I can attach documents through the C4L website.

On page 155 of "The Revolution" Ron Paul relates the Federal Reserves interventions in the market to stop their economic mess to Wile E. Coyote opening an unbrella in order to protect himself from a falling boulder. That is what inspired this.

My thoughts exactly! I donated to some of the lesser known candidates, including Jaynee Germond who is running for congress on Oregon's 4th district.

There is a bill in the house right now that would require congress to post the bill by law for 72 hours prior to it being voted on.

[H.R. 554]
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d111:h.res.554:

I think this is a good step in the right direction. So far it has 214 cosponsors.

Go to www.DownsizeDC.org and send a letter to you representatives. Here is my very simple letter:

Please pass H. Res. 554 (the 72-hour rule).

House Resolution 554 would allow the public to make an informed decision regarding the bills that affect them, before they are voted on.

If you truely represent the people then please support this bill.

Take action! Good luck!

We are fast coming upon 2010, the next election year for Congress. In the wise words of Ron Paul it's time for everyone to be subjected "to the same tired, predictable routine: two candidates with few disagreements on fundamentals pretend that they represent dramatically different philosophies of government."

However, this should be our time to educate the people so we can vote the bought and paid for politicians / those non-representing representatives out of office. It's time to vote for real change. It's time to make your voice heard.

Oregonians have a great opportunity this year to do just that. We are lucky enough two have two candidates in Oregon running for Congress. Jaynee Germond running for the 4th district and Delia Lopez in the 3rd district.

Go check out their web pages here:

[Delia Lopez]

[Jaynee Germond]
http://www.germond2010.com/

Those two ladies for liberty need our support, especially when they will be running up against candidates that are financed by big corporations, not the people.

Lets all try to give a little bit to their campaigns. By spreading the word or by donating just five or ten dollars.

I just moved (and moving is expensive) and I gave fifty dollars to each. I really don't have a hundred dollars to spare. But we are living in such a pivotal time in history that I am compelled to do something.

As a country we are sitting on an apex. On the one side is more of the same. More government, less freedom, more interventionism; it's the side of the same old tired politics, the side of the Republicans and the Democrats. But the other side of the apex is the side of freedom, liberty, less government; it's the side of Delia Lopez and Jaynee Germond.

We are very luck to have two candidates running in Oregon, most States don't have any candidates.

Please, if you do anything this year, support these candidates. If there is one thing that I learned from Ron Paul's campaign for the presidency, it's that even in defeat there can be a great victory.
