Friends, Please take the time to contact Senators Brown and Voinovich, your local Representative to Congress, and Senators Jeff Merkley (D-OR) and Bob Corker (R-TN) this week.
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/blog.php?view=26686#
Merkley and Corker are leading the charge to derail HR 1207 (303 co-sponsors) and S604 (33 co-sponsors), our long fought for legislation to provide for the first comprehensive audit of the Federal Reserve System in its 96 year existence. They are certainly acting on behalf of the Big Banks and The Fed, who have recently been panicking about the threat of a transparent audit of U.S. monetary policy (the printing and distribution of trillions of new dollars through various mechanisms) and their relationship and deal-making with foreign governments and foreign central banks, something that neither we nor Congress is privy to.
Merkley and Corker today introduced the "Federal Reserve Accountability Act", an alternative Fed Audit bill, in an attempt to erase S604. It is a watered down audit of only the TARP funds and other high profile bailouts, excluding all other Fed functions and actions from audit...just what the Big Banks, The Fed, and Big Government lovers want. After all, if they want the unending money spigot to remain open to fund gargantuan government and their cronies in the Big Banks, they cannot have the public looking into their books.
I need all of you to ask your membership to call our politicians in Washington this week. Tell them that the time is now for the American people and Congress to fully see and understand the actions of the Federal Reserve with regards to monetary policy, the details of the bailouts, and all agreements or commitments to foreign central banks and governments. Our financial future and our national sovereignty are at stake. We will accept nothing less than a comprehensive, transparent audit of all Federal Reserve functions.
If there is nothing to hide, then there is nothing for them to worry about. We and Congress do not want to take over monetary policy, but we deserve to know where we are headed, what is happening to our dollar, and whether anyone is selling us out to foreign interests.
Here's the links to contact info :
Senator Corker : http://corker.senate.gov/public/index.cfm? (202) 224-3344
Senator Merkley : http://merkley.senate.gov/contact/ (202) 224-3753
Senator Brown : http://brown.senate.gov/contact/ (202) 224-2315
Senator Voinovich : http://voinovich.senate.gov/public/index.cfm (202) 224-3353
Please also call your personal rep to the US House...here's a few for the Cincinnati area :
Rep. Jean Schmidt : http://www.house.gov/schmidt/ (202)225-3164 OR 791-0381
Rep. Steve Driehaus : http://driehaus.house.gov/ (202) 225-2216 OR 684-2723
Rep. Michael Turner : http://turner.house.gov/ (202) 225-6465
Action Plan:
1. Call your Senators Brown and Voinovich and tell them that you want them to co-sponsor S604 (33 cosponsors), and you will not accept the Merkley-Corker watered down Fed Audit. Supporters of a watered down audit are bought and paid for by the Financial Services Industry, and we plan to remove such individuals from the Senate by supporting their opponents financially and through the grass roots activism that we specialize in.
2. Call your Representative to the House and tell them that their continued support of HR 1207 is appreciated (all local Reps have co-sponsored HR 1207 except Driehaus...big time contributions from the Financial Services Industry this year) and we insist that they demand that HR 1207 be passed immediately in full, without compromise. Tell Driehaus to get on board if he believes in transparency and cares about his constituents' finacial future, if he is your Rep.
3. Call Corker and Merkley and tell them that their bill is unnecessary and an obvious attempt to provide cover for the Fed, and that 75% of Americans want a comprehensive audit of the Fed, according to the most recent polls. Tell them that if they fight against a comprehensive Fed Audit, then we'll fight against their re-election with all our energy and money.
Thanks to all of you in advance for your help in distributing the message. Bad "Trojan Horse" bill announced today, fight back tomorrow for what is good and right. That's how it should be done.
In Liberty...

There are many reasons to reject the self serving "Health Care Reform" resolutions that are about to be shoved down our throats by our politicians in Washington.
There is no real health care insurance reform unless long-term choice, competition, and consumer self interest are increased. Just like the US Postal Service, the Government "Option" will be subsidized, enjoy tax breaks, and will benefit from enabling legislation in the coming years. The "Option" will then destroy choice and competition over several years, and consumer self interest will be obliterated through the continued government obsession with comprehensive pre-paid health care.
Cheaper options, such as HSAs with high deductible major medical insurance policies, will no longer be available to provide the consumer with affordable care. There will no incentive to look for the highest quality at the lowest price. Without incentive and with higher taxes to pay for "Reform", the people will have little interest in disease prevention through healthy lifestyle...after all, we're paying through the teeth for health care, so why not use it?
It's time to ask the question. If our politicians care so much about our health, why won't they give us what we really want and need? They only have to give up a little power and some of our money. It's that simple.
Return our money that we can then spend on major medical insurance through tax credits or dollar-for-dollar tax deductions. Allow all the people to contribute 10-15K tax-free dollars to HSAs to cover the deductible on the major medical policy. Allow all the people to get a raise from their employers in place of employer provided expensive health care. Allow the people to buy their insurance from the states that provide it cheapest with the fewest coverage mandates. Allow the people to make contracts with physicians for personal "bad outcome" settlements in advance of a procedure as a form of tort reform.
So what is it, politicians? Is it your control or our health that you're interested in? Will you live within your means so that we can live within our means? Don't give us your baseless argument that this will not help the working poor or those with pre-existent uninsurability...we know the truth. Our personal charity, and that of physicians and other health providers in our country has always provided for the poor and unlucky. Safety nets are available as an option at the state and national level for the uninsurable...we don't need already failed guaranteed issue, community rated health care from you.
If these facts don't interest you, politicians, know this : If you take our God-given Health Care Freedom and Liberty from us in the guise of "Reform", we will fight back with all we have. We will remove you from Washington, one by one. Your time is short before you have to come home to live with those whose Liberty you have stolen.
The fight is not over. This week in Cincinnati, Ohio, thousands of citizens will be manning every highway exit for 3 days, encircling the city and providing health care freedom literature and the argument that our politicians want power, not our health, through currently proposed resolutions. On Oct. 21,22,and 23, from 4-6pm each day, citizens from Campaign For Liberty, Cincinnati Tea Party, Cincinnati 912 Project, and others will educate the public on all Rt.275 exit ramps, followed by a Saturday, October 24, 4pm Health Care Rally encircling the Carew Tower, where Rep. Steve Driehaus has an office. we will literally surround the building, demonstrating the unified will of a free people. Join us on the 275 ramps and at the Carew Tower event...your will and your desire for Liberty will be felt by those who attempt to take it away.

The Cincinnati version of the New American Tea Party was held last Sunday, March 15.
5,000 people filled Cincinnati's Fountain Square for a 2 hour rally, protesting against Big Government spending and taxation. The organizers were not GOP insiders, though there was certainly a Republican bias, with the Democratic Congress' and President Obama's 2009 Spending Orgy, the primary targets of the all-Republican lineup of speakers. That said, the primary organizer did stress that this was a non-partisan event, and he did include TARP and the end of the Bush administration on his list of offenses against the American taxpayer.
There was a large Campaign For Liberty presence at the Rally, with 42 CFL members from Ohio Districts 1 and 2 attending the event, along with an additional 40+ CFL members and friends from Ohio District 3, Northern Kentucky, and Eastern Indiana.
Our CFL members, families, and friends passed out 300 customized CFL pocket Constitutions to attendees before the rally, and they were such a big hit that we had to turn away hundreds of people who saw them in people's hands and wanted some themselves. Many people wanted to learn more about the CFL, and we provided them with 300 copies of the new CFL Trifolder from the CFL store. We also passed out 600 HR 1207 "Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009" fliers, along with 500 of our Ohio CFL written and soon to be introduced "Ohio State Sovereignty Resolution" (2 co-sponsors in the Ohio House of Representatives).
The event was certainly a success, and was obvious to us that there is a GREAT deal of interest from everyday American citizens in getting back to the basics principles of our American Republic and its Constitution.
Without a doubt, American citizens, at least in the Midwest, are looking for someone or something to guide our country back to its roots. It is up to each of us to step forward and take action today through newspaper and online op-ed columns and local campaigns for simple and popular action items like HR 1207, HR 63, and state sovereignty 10th Amendment resolutions. We need to plan for a CFL booth educational presence at summer fairs and festivals, initiate town hall meetings in rural communities, and continue to construct alliances with other local organizations that focus on economic freedom.
Thanks to all who participated in the Tea Party, and thanks to those of you who continue to inspire me to do more to fight for Freedom and Liberty.
