There is a saying in Mexico that goes,- "Show me a politician who is poor, & I will show you a poor politician". We have a saying in America that goes,- "Mony talks, bulls**t walks". My question then would be this. How do we preserve honesty & justice in a capitalist society where the prominant goal of millions of people is to make money? I can only think of one answer. Constant vigilance. Vigilance by those who's prominant goal is to preserve liberty. I believe the best way for the American people to preserve liberty, & re-enforce the ideas that our founders bled & died for, is to start thinking & acting locally. This includes a much greater focus on local & state governments. "The states created the federal government, the federal government did not create the states"- Ronald Reagan. Since the states created the federal government, then its the states that can keep the federal government in check. A state is only as strong as its people, so we must work hard, keep aware, & be active. As the true leaders of our towns, our counties, our states & our country, I believe it is our duty. We need to thouroughly know our candidates. We need to run for office when possible. And most of all, we need to encourage our friends, our families, our coworkers, & our neighbors to get involved with good organizations like Campaign for Liberty. Membership in organizations that fight for truth, honesty, & the ideas our country was built on. Also to encourage people to use the internet as much as possible. I believe this is criticle. Self education, and community action are the best ways a person can find the truth amidst the circus of confusion & division that congress & the media keep poisioning the airwaves with. It will strengthen communities and also reinforce internet freedom. The more people rely on & value the internet, the more they will fight to protect it. This is vigilance! And it is the only thing that will truly keep & protect our treasured way of life, here in the greatest country on earth.
