My name is Robert McGee Jr. I am 29 years old and I have been involved in many political activities in the past and still today. I am a political panelist on a local news talk radio show called "Helen Blocker-Adams' Political Dreamteam Roundtable Discussion" on Thursday nights. The show starts at 7:00pm EST and the political discussion begins at 7:30pm. You can listen in live if you live local to Augusta, GA on radio stations 103.7fm or 1600am. Or listen live online streaming by going to www.helenblockeradams.com, scroll down and click the "listen to Helen Live" link on the right side of the page.
To tell a little more about my background, I will attempt to give a short story of how I got here, to the Campaign For Liberty. I will begin with my activities during the Ron Paul 2008 campagin. I was an Assistant Organizer of "The Augusta Ron Paul 2008 Meetup Group" and was heavily involved in the campaign within Augusta, GA and the C.S.R.A.(Central Savannah River Area).
After Ron Paul suspended his campaign and ultimately after the primaries, our liberty loving members of "The Augusta Ron Paul 2008 Meetup Group", made the decision to keep our Meetup Group because it was so helpful in keeping like minded liberty lovers in Augusta and the surrounding areas together, with the capabilities to stay in touch with each other as well as continue to schedule events and we also could not bare to loose the list of members and friendships we had built.
So along with making the decision to keep the Meetup Group, we also decided since the Campaign was coming to an end that we should change our name and affiliation in order to continue our efforts in the fight for liberty. At that time we made the decision, that even though "Meetup Groups" are not considered in any way 'chapters' or 'affiliates' or 'associated' officially with the "Campaign For Liberty" organization, we wanted to keep our group affililiated with the ideas that brought us together in the first place, so we decided to become members of the Campaign For Liberty, changed the name of our Meetup Group to "The Augusta Campaign For Liberty Meetup Group" and consider ourselves supporters of the Official Campaign For Liberty organization and agenda, and we would use the local group as a means to recruit new people to the "Campaign For Liberty" organization and cause.
Most of our meetup group members are also members of the official Campaign For Liberty organization and for everyone who sends membership requests to the Meetup Group wanting to join, we insist that they FIRST have joined with the official Campaign For Liberty organization before their membership is approved.
Our former Head Organizer, after quite some time of serving, unfortunately had to step down and he endorsed me to be the one to take his place. A vote was taken and I am now the Head Organizer of the Augusta Campaign For Liberty Meetup Group. We have many members who worked very hard during Ron Paul's 2008 Presidential campaign and continue to do so within the spectrum of the Campaign For Liberty Organization and it's agendas, as well as performing such within the Republican Party, while some members have chosen to work within the Libertarian Party. We are all excited about this continuation of the Revolution and that is how I have arrived to the Campaign For Liberty.
(At the Campaign for Liberty table at one of the more recent First Friday events in Augusta)
Now, along with being the Head Organizer of the "Augusta C4L Meetup Group" and
participating in our activities, I also am the Assistant Organizer of "The Augusta Libertarian Meetup Group". This is a small (l)libertarin group, not to be confused with the (L)ibertarian Party. We meet together to discuss libertarian ideology and how to change politics starting in our local city, by adding the same ideas that Ron Paul espouses that brought so many of us together in the 2008 election, the ideas of Free-markets, personal liberties, private property rights, etc. and bringing that to our city/county's current political spectrum through various means such as education, political activism, and other means including some of the members who choose to work within the Libertarian Party. We have small (l) libertarians in our "Augusta libertarian Meetup Group" from different political "Parties" and those who have even chosen to not be politically affiliated with any Parties at all.
Among my activities with the C4L inside the Republican Party, I myself also worked within the Libertarian Party for some time. I noticed many people who were so disgusted with politics that they did not want anything to do with the Republican or Democratic parties anymore, and as a means to try to keep these folks involved locally, I worked to help provide a fresh and new (political) home and Co-Founded the "Libertarian Party of the C.S.R.A." with some other friends who were noticing this same drop in political activity.
I realized the same major problem that so many of us supporters of the Ron Paul 2008 Campaign noticed, and that was that many people were becoming so disgusted with the Republican Party and how it has turned out and who decided they could not bare to stay in the party any longer until it returned back to it's TRUE small government, less taxes and free market, conservative practices and not just the rhetoric. I did not want to see these intelligent liberty loving people become politically homeless so I made the decision to work with others to build another local option for a freedom based party where these people could continue to stay active until the Republican Party returned back to liberty or until they just faded away and made way for the LP to take it's place, and this is a MAJOR problem I see the Republican Party facing today. They MUST return to TRUE LIBERTY, or they will continue to fail as they so horribly did, and as we so strongly predicted and warned of, in the 2008 election. So, I sat as Vice Chairman of the Libertarian Party of the C.S.R.A. until enough new members were involved that I could drop back from my position and offer it for someone else, in order to refocus my efforts.
So I now work within the local Republican Party to try and inject life and the ideas of TRUE liberty back into the party. The ideas from the old-school conservative wing of the party like those of Robert Taft, Barry Goldwater, etc., those that once believed in Constitutional adherence as the supreme law of the land, extremely limited government, the ideas of abolishing income taxes and not replacing it with anything, the ideas from the old-school conservative wing of the party that once believed in abolishing Big Government departments like the Dept. of Education and not of the "new-conservative (neo-conservative)" wing that has more than doubled the size of the Dept. of Education. The party that once believed in the individual rights of others even if they did not agree with their lifestyles choices. The true conservative wing of the Republican Party has almost vanished and those who've called themselves "conservative" have moved far away from their core beliefs.
Along with my political activities, I also am involved in different educational activities which were inspired by my first awakening to what is happening in our country, Michael Badnarik's Constitution Class. Inspired by his passion to teach and spread the fires of liberty, I too decided to devote my time to educating people. I provide teaching and/or articles of knowledge that I have obtained on various subjects such as the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, U.S. History (particularly the Revolution and founding era of our country), Austrian Economics, Government, Politics, Foreign Policy, and other related topics.
I am excited about meeting more like minded liberty lovers and the possibilities of our future in restoring our Constitution and restoring our republic. I encourage other nearby members to message me and let's meet together, pool our resources and let us continue this Revolution and regain our liberties...
Speculation is growing that Ron Paul will run again in 2012. Ron Paul is in full healthy condition to do it again, he is mentally sharp and more educated than any other candidate that can be put up against him, the man runs miles every day, HE IS THE CHAMP! People should not nitpick over the issue of whether or not he will win because it's not about winnning, so stop being sore losers! This isn't a footbal game where everyone wants to "cheer for the winning team". Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate that can continue to inject real issues into the debate. This is about supporting and voting for principles. This is about an educational oportunity to educate the public and save the Republic. IMAGINE with me if you will, Ron Paul running for 2012, he's in the debates, the grassroots movement is HUGE because of all the new people who have joined us since seeing that Ron Paul was right in 2008, the Campaign for Liberty live and kicking and there to educate the people even further on the issues that Ron Paul would be speaking on. I promise you if Ron Paul runs again (which I believe he will, I don't believe he will let us down, and let it be known that I make my prediction now), THIS WILL BE HUGE!
If Ron Paul runs again it will grow another HUGE grassroots movement that would be 10 times bigger than what we had in the Ron Paul 2008 campaign. The Revolution is still alive and look at the results of the 2008 campaign. Look at what we've accomplished. Look at how many people have come on board with the Campaign for Liberty and the ideas we share since his 2008 presidential bid. SO MANY NEW SUPPORTERS ARE HERE AND READY, along with the original Revolutionaries, WE CAN MAKE A HUGE WAVE.
WE CAN DO THIS!
I'm calling out for a "Mass Draft Ron Paul 2012movement" right now! I encourage everyone NOW to take the same energy they put into contatcing their representatives over activism issues like "Sponsoring HR1207" or "Say NO to Cap & Trade", take that same energy and let's ALL email Ron Paul, write letters, call his offices and tell him that we want him to run again in 2012! Let's also alert the media that we are working to draft Ron Paul for 2012!
Strike up the Ron Paul Radio's again, Roll the Ron Paul Freedom internet TV channels, Get the forums and blogs going once more, and get ready to spread "Ron Paul 2012" at people's doors!
Let's put liberty in the 2012 Presidential race!
For liberty,
Robert McGee
(P.S. Sorry, I had to re-enter this blog cause I messed the date up on the poll)
Poll: Will you do your part in contacting Ron Paul in an attempt to persuade him to run in 2012?

I have the podcast links for the "Helen Blocker-Adams' LIVE - Local Candidats Forum" show.
As some of you already know I am on the panel for "Helen Blocker-Adams' Political Dreamteam Roundtable Discussion" radio show each Thursday and as a part of her political team I was one of the panelist present at this event to ask the local candidates questions for the Augusta-Richmond County Commission Elections and a Special Board of Education District 5 election. The links below are from that event Thursday, October 22nd, 2009.
I will also be posting another blog today or by tomorrow with a scoring of each candidate on the issues of freedom in Life, Liberty, Property and Fiscal responsibility. This will in no way be an endorsement for any candidate - as "Campaign for Liberty does not endorse candidates" - this will simply show you (in my own opinion and scoring) where each candidate stands on the issues of liberty and the principles we believe in here at the Campaign for Liberty, based on their answers and remarks from this event. I will also leave my own commentary as to why they received such scores and once I finish my report and scoring I will update this blog with the link to the new "Liberty Scoring" blog with all the scores and my own commentary. So look back for that.
Now to the Canidates forum:
All 12 Candidates were present for this event and they are listed below as:
Augusta-Richmond County Board of Education District 5: Aisha Leverett Patsy Scott James Williams Jr.
Augusta-Richmond County Commission District 1: Jo'rae Jenkins Butch Palmer Bill Fenoy Matt Aitken
Augusta-Richmond County Commission District 3: Cleveland O'steen Joe Bowles Joy Mitchell Booker
Augusta-Richmond County Commission District 5: William "Bill" Lockett Bobby Hankerson
I have listed the questions that were asked during the event. Not all were from me, some were from Megan Seda of the (Columbia County Young Republicans) and Butch Gallop of (Gallop and Associates) who were also on the panel and toward the end a few questions from audience members. The questions were addressed directly to individual commission districts as opposed to across the board or to each individual candidates. Questions that were presented by myself will be marked by an ( * ) beside them. The questions are listed in order below but you will have to listen to the podcast in order to hear the candidates responses.
Questions Incude:
District 1: What exactly will you do about the problem of flooding in East Augusta that has existed for the last 30 years?
* District 3: In your opinion, should an individual's private property be protected from eminent domain? If so, how would you protect the individual's rights - in your district - to their property?
Board of Education District 5: What would be your prime initiative that you would advocate for on the school board to improve the educational process in Richmond County?
District 5: South Augusta is growing right now with a lot of new businesses, residential areas, [etc]. What I would like to know is, at this point in time what will you do to make sure that the infrastructure is in place with the concerns to that growth.
* District 1: How do you feel about the use of tax revenues or tax abatements being used to subsidize any business, including subsidizing owners of sports franchises for the construction of facilities such as stadiums?
District 3: This past year we've had an $8 million dollar budget deficit in Augusta-Richmond County. How would you in a time of recession and tightened budget make sure there is always enough funding to support law enforcement functions?
Board of Education District 5: You have furloughs for the teachers. What incentives will you now give or support for the teachers?
* District 5: As a means of lowering city overhead, would you consider selling off some of the city's public facilities to private industry, and which facilities in District 5 could you name that would be worth looking into doing so?
District 1: What achievements in your personal or professional life do you think show, that you could go into the commission and be effective as commissioner in implementing your ideas?
Questions from Audience members:
District 1: What are you all going to do for the children in that district?
District 3: How will privatizing Government agencies save us money?
District 1: The commission originally agreed on $20 million dollars for the TEE Center, It has since ballooned up to about $70 million dollars. I want District 1 candidates to justify why you would vote on it as it stand right now?
Board of Education District 5: I am a parent and person experience is important to me. In a nutshell I would like to know what personal experience the candidates have with children and the public education.
(End of questions)
This opportunity to be on Helen Blocker-Adams' Political Dreamteam Discussion Panel, as well as the opportunity to sponsor the Political Dreamteam Discussion portion of her show, has been great all around. The Campaign for Liberty is gaining more support and members, Helen is picking up new fans (which I know she's happy about) but some of these are Campaign For Liberty people and she says she loves it when she finds you Campaign for Liberty people listening in and she's getting Facebook messages, fans and friends requests, so keep it up guys and feel free to call in during a live show and put in your own thoughts. THIS is just one avenue for helping to restore America and the principles of liberty we believe in, we have to speak out, get the message of liberty out there, educate people and Helen's show is TRULY independent and fair to all peoples ideas, so call in no matter where you are from, you can listen live online, and let's get more people spreading these ideas. Thank you guys so much for showing support!
And if you're reading this one Helen... Thank you again for the opportunity you've given to put this message out there!

The Next Political Roundtable show: Will be November 5th, 2009. The 10/29/2009 show has been canceled as Helen will be covering another event live that night. So join us Thursday, 11/05/2009 for the Poilitical Roundtable Discussion, it will be two days after the local Augusta-Richmond County election and I am sure that it will be one of the hot topics of the show that night. You can find the call in numbers at Helen Blocker-Adams' website.
I've also created a POLL on my last blog in response to a topic from that night's discussion ( Helen Blocker Adams' Political Dreamteam Radio show - 10/15/2009 ) to get your thoughts on "spoiler" or "non-electable" candidates in elections. I encourage everyone to participate in this poll and would appreciate you sending it to everyone you know. But please hurry and vote and pass it along because the poll ends at 11:59pm EST - 10/28/2009. I want to get as many votes on this issue as possible and I plan to reveal the results ON AIR - if possible - when we return back to the regular political roundtable discussion show on November 5th. Thank you all for your participation and support.
I have the podcast links for the most recent "Helen Blocker-Adams' Political Dreamteam Roundtable Discussion" radio show that I appear on each Thursday. These links are from Thursday, October 15th, 2009, discussion always begins 30 minutes into the show but the first 30 minutes are relevant to the first topic of our discussion so listen to it at the start of the show to understand what the discussion was about.
Topics include: To begin with: Something we all have addressed many times in the Campaign for Liberty and that is the issue of "electable candidates", "spoilers" in an election, "the constitutional RIGHT to run for office and the right to vote for who you want", the "Two party monopoly". I jumped in going after the widely held belief of - "Voting the lesser of two evils" or "Vote for the most electable candidate" - that people have. It was good! We also discussed: Local Augusta-Richmond County politics; Candidates and a A HUGE local candidates forum coming up here in Augusta, GA.

These links are from Thursday, October 1st, 2009, The "political discussion" portion always starts after the first 30 minutes into the begining of the show, so Segment 1 file - around 30:00 into it is where it all begins, if you would like to skip ahead.
Topics include: Local August-Richmond Country politics; Candidates; A HUGE local candidates forum coming up here in Augusta; The 12th Congressional District race; AND a special surprise mention about the effort going on to draft fellow C4L'er Valerie Sargent Meyers for CD 08... BY THE HOST! Helen Blocker Adams herself! I had not even known of this yet but she heard about it from a friend and fellow listener who lives in Albany, Ga. Hear that portion at Segment 2 file - about "32:50" into the program coming back in from commercial. How cool is that? This opportunity to be on Helen Blocker Adams' Politicial Dreamteam Discussion Panel, as well as the opportunity to sponsor the Political Dreamteam Discussion portion of her show, has been great all around.
