My name is Alex Rion.  My wife, Kathryn, and I are residents of King County.  I was formerly your interim King County Coordinator before becoming your Washington State Interim Co-Coordinator.  I was also a candidate for Washington state Representative in the 32nd Legislative District in 2008.  Beyond that, I am outraged about the governmental state of affairs in this county, this state, and this country.

I dropped out of high school and joined the Army at age seventeen. In the Army I was stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, home of the 82nd Airborne Division, and I am a life member of the 82nd Airborne Division Association. It wasn't until leaving the Army in 1983 that I first became active in politics.

Between odd jobs I worked on campaigning, and through firsthand experience learned about the workings of government. Eventually I made the decision to go back to school, and having earned my GED prior to entering the service, enrolled in college. I studied political science and history to earn my Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University.

On a more personal note, my wife Kathryn and I live in Kirkland. We're both originally from Michigan.  I'm a real estate broker, Kathryn's an agent and we work together.

Hi Everyone - Below is a copy of the letter outlining the Statewide Action Plan.

Dear Friend of Liberty,

It is time for every single Campaign for Liberty member to stand up and be a part of the most exciting thing to happen in the Freedom Movement since Ron Paul ran for President! Because of the hard work of Campaign for Liberty members in all 50 states, we are now closing in on the 290 cosponsors in the House of Representatives for the Audit the Fed bill, HR 1207! Campaign for Liberty members here in Washington played a huge part in that by persuading 7 out of 9 of our congressmen to formally support the bill.

The Federal Reserve has operated in secrecy since its creation in 1913. Since that dreadful year, the dollar has lost 95% of its purchasing power. The Fed already brought about one Great Depression, and it appears that it's bringing us into another - only this time Washington DC expects our fractured economy to rebuild with the very dollars it spent a century destroying.

This is why the coming weeks are going to be so important.

From now until September 15th, there will be a nationwide push to get a majority of US Senators to give their full support to S 604, the Federal Reserve Sunshine Act.

This is where you come in. We will make it impossible for the Senate to ignore S 604 any longer by gathering thousands of petitions in every state. While we're gathering signatures locally, Campaign for Liberty in DC will be collecting all the online petitions and snail mail petitions they can. The goal is to use this Mass Action event to convince a majority of the Senate to cosponsor the bill. Rasmussen Reports recently produced polling results that show that a full 75% of Americans support an audit of the Federal Reserve. It is our job to reach out to them and make sure their voice is heard in Congress!

The grand finale will be on September 15th.

Here is what you can do in the State of Washington:

1. We need you to sign and collect petitions for S 604.  Your coordinators will be contacting you on where you can sign or help to collect petitions.  But you don't have to wait for instructions!  Visit the Campaign for Liberty website or the brand new AuditTheFed.com to download and print.  It's county fair season - the perfect time to get out and meet your neighbors and spread the message of liberty.

2. We need you to talk to your senators at public appearances.  Politicians are hiding from constituents unhappy with big government, which means we don't know where or when Senators Murray and Cantwell will make an appearance.  Keep your eyes open, and if there is going to be an event, make sure that you talk to your senators about S 604.

3. We need you to sign up to call your senator's office.  The last week of the Mass Action event will include a nationwide phone campaign to keep our senator's phones ringing off the hook.  Watch for an email from HQ next week with instructions to sign up for a time to call Senators Murray and Cantwell.  Our goal is to have someone call every 5 minutes.  That's just 500 callers for the entire week, a goal we should accomplish easily.  It's easy; it takes less than five minutes of your time, and if we all do it - it can have a huge impact!

4. We need everyone to show-up for the big petition drop-off event on September 15th at 4PM.  Campaign for Liberty's Mass Action Event will culminate with nationwide visits to local Senate offices.  Our goal is to have hundreds of people show up for the rallies at Senator Murray's and Cantwell's offices to deliver petitions.  Their offices are at:

2930 Wetmore Avenue, Everett, WA 98201

1313 Officers Row, Vancouver, WA 98661

915 Second Avenue, Seattle, WA  98174

950 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma, WA  98402

West 920 Riverside and 10 North Post Street Spokane, WA 99201

Make plans to be there!  If you can't make it to one of these locations, contact your local coordinator with Campaign for Liberty.  Smaller events are planned at other office locations across the state.

We know what we have to do to succeed.  We also know that victory could mean a revolution in the United States' monetary policy, once the workings of the Fed are finally revealed.

This maneuver is the pincer tactic, giving pressure from above and pressure from below. The only way that our elected senators nationwide can stop the pressure is to agree to give us the transparency that we deserve.

How much does your help matter?  An entire army focusing on one battlefield, on one opponent at one time will yield results. You are that army.  Let's win this battle.

In Liberty,

Alex Rion and Katja Delavar

Washington State Coordinators

For those that live near Enumclaw I would like to get together and organize in this part of the county.

This weekend the folks in Washington State's 1st Congressional District advanced our common cause of Liberty when their persistence resulted in another co-sponsor to the Federal Reserve Transparency Act!

Rep. Jay Inslee (D) held a series of town hall meetings across the District.  Liberty Campaigners showed up in force with a dual purpose: to inform the other constituent attendees about the Federal Reserve, and to encourage their Representative to co-sponsor HR 1207.  I'm happy to report that they were successful on both counts!

Our teams handed out information and directed fellow citizens to our informational resources.  And finally, at the third and last town hall meeting our efforts were rewarded when Rep. Jay Inslee made a promise to become a co-sponsor.  A member of our movement captured the success on video.  We're proud to report that the patriot in the video encouraging the Representative is our own Michelle St. Pierre, a Washington State Regional Leader.

This is great, I've been e-mailing Rep. Inslee for a while and kept getting canned responses, but after hearing from voters in 3 different townhalls and petitions he finially buys off on it!!! Stoked that it looks like it'll get through the House. We need to start looking forward to the Senators of our states and pressure them to take a good look at it.
