Ron Paul Huffington Post Interview
Dr. Paul was recently interviewed by Michael Bendetson for The Huffington Post:
Michael Bendetson: Out of the 535 voting members of 111th United States Congress, only 14 are doctors. What inspired you to leave your lucrative medical practice to enter politics?
Ron Paul: It was concern that the country itself was going in the wrong direction. The government was getting bigger, personal liberties were being undermined, and the financial situation was quite bad. I [entered politics] more as a lark, just to speak out and not with the expectation of winning a seat. The odds were against me, however I did win. The first time I ran and the first time I won was in 1976. Overall, I sought office to help fulfill my desire to shrink the size of government, enhance personal liberties, and improve the economy.

BruceKoerber Cedar Rapids, IA | Consistency that is manifested because it is based on the principles of classical liberalism and obedience to the Constitution not only shines through in the interview but that simpicity is what will eventually convince the thinking masses, once the smokescreens of the charlatans clear. When will the smokescreens clear?
The forces of the economic equilibrium are on the horizon! |

BillNM Carlsbad, NM | One of the commentators believes that if you see two sides to an argument you are not qualified to be President. Kinda makes one wonder. |

Jaret Glenn Orlando, FL | That was one of the better Paul interviews I've read. At least this author asked questions that gave the good doctor the opportunity to explain some of his less understood stances on a few major issues. |

Your comments are exactly my own.
I make a point of sending the C4L daily update to my entire mailbox. Many make the mistake of only sending to like-minded individuals. I did the same for quite some time. I didn't want to be "that guy" that sends preachy e-mails. The daily updates are a perfect way to send something to uninformed folks that is not intrusive but still gets the message of liberty out there. More and more I have people replying back with a 'thanks for the link' and 'I've never heard about that before'. I send specific articles on occasion, but mostly I just forward the update page. This is one of the specific articles that I'll send. |
