Here is CATO Institute economist Dan Mitchell’s third part in his highly relevant and well done tax series. Dr. Mitchell does a great job debunking several myths and explains why low tax zones are a great tool in an incremental approach to reducing taxes across the board.

The income tax is very controversial, a man by the name of Bill Benson has provided evidence that it might not have been properly ratified (16th amendment). The 16th amendment also runs contrary to the constitution, as it allows for a direct tax to be laid. This is Benson's site: www.thelawthatneverwas.com, he also sell's a book that provides notarized government documentation that this law should be null and void. It's worth a look.
