Creeping socialism takes another step forward. They try try try for decades, and then finally get it by five votes, or three people if you think about it. Now, even if Republicans pick up 50 seats in 2010 they won't be able to undo this, will they? They won't even try.

Also, if the public abortion funding was the only thing preventing some Dems from voting for this, it seems like a bad idea to support the amendment to remove that and then allow the fat beast to pass.

Time to really turn up the heat on the Senate.. this is just sickening. Good luck trying to force people to buy. I would think there's a good case to take it to the Supreme Court on a Constitutional Basis.

Time to start calling our senators? Whoa, news flash..... Yes all of this can be changed around, how? Over and over I have to keep saying it over and over..... Start the impeachment process, stay the course, after impeachment, press the charge of treason and I am sorry to say, but I have changed my mind. If treason is concerted and produced, I a not against the measures.
Not only is it time to call senators, it's also time to re-enstate a statement from long ago.
"This Is Our Country! It Was The Gift of Our Founding Fathers! We Will Not Allow Anyone To Take It From Us!"
We must give the highest example for future endeavors to bring down our country in this fassion.

Well that's very cute and all, but who is going to do that? NOBODY. We will do what we have been doing for over a century and watch the failed experimentation of liberty known at the United States of America. There will be no revolution. There will be no chance of us moving towards a limited government (or my preference of no bloody government at all). Unless many of us are coming at these people with guns and ammo, than there NEVER WILL BE A TRUE REVOLUTION. But since we believe in this delusion of peaceful revolution here, I doubt that I will be assisted at all when I need to reload my weapon.

So best bet is just to enjoy the freedom that we have now with our friends and families, because the insane approach of peaceful revolution is what the statist hope for since the only resistance we will ever show them is through e-mail, faxes, and voice mail messages. Yah, that will strike the fear in those who believe in legal theft, legal kidnapping, legal murder, and legal vandalism.

Good luck with that.

A hit broadside on the USS America. She's on fire, listing badly, taking on water, and about to go down at any minute. Meanwhile, the traitorous ships officers are pouring gasoline on the fire to sink her sooner. Time to mutiny, eject the officers, put out the fires, plug the holes, and set her on course for home (the US Constitution).

At least the bill is bi-partisan.......just kidding. I think we need to be a little more rational and not consider an armed revolution as the only answer. There is still hope for our Republic. Perhaps we should also look at influencing our state representatives and governers to stand up against the over reaching power of the Federal Government as a solution.

And why on earth would they do just that? These people aren't civilized and productive members of society. They leech off your productive income to make a living for God sakes! We put blood, sweat, and tears into getting HR 1207 as much recognition as it has, and we saw one man...let me repeat...ONE MAN have the ability to complete gut that bill. And it took only a matter of days for them to pass a 2000 page health care bill right through the House.

The days of peaceful revolution are over, and the longer we delay, than like I said, we should probably just quit and spend time with our family and friends before they send us away to the FEMA camps. So stop kidding yourself. It's put up or shut up time, and I have no interest in fighting alone into a den of vipers without some back-up.

And last time I checked, the word "Hope" was already bought by the communists. The word "Action" seems to still be up on sale though.

I would invite any critics of our approach to a Peaceful Revolution to re-examine the Declaration of Independence. There is one of my favorite lines we can all get behind, stating "But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security."

However after the long list of the abuses and userpations of the King is given, there's a paragraph we must never ignore.

"In every stage of these Oppressions we have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble Terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated Injury. A Prince, whose Character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the Ruler of a free People."

That is the stage we find ourselves in right now: Yes we will petition for redress through our calls and letters and protests, and yes it's likely we will continue to be ignored, but it must be done.

In order for the Revolution to have any credibility whatsoever, we must be able to demonstrate 1) That we are approaching/under a state of Tyranny. 2) That living under Liberty is preferable to Tyranny. 3) That we pursued in every possible instance and with our fullest effort, Peaceful means for resisting Tyranny in the promotion of Liberty.

Even if the Country is not on the right course, rest assured that we here, are. We must endure the repeated Injury, or the American people will NOT support us when it matters most.

I've got to take my desire to fly to DC and knock some teeth out, and turn it into political pain for these priviledged bastards. If you haven't watched the Rothfeld training available on the website, please do. We'll be making these bastards pay over the next few years. But first, we need to make sure the Senators know there will be severe political pain if they don't stop this monstrosity. And don't give up on Audit the Fed yet, we'll keep it moving forward, per Dr. Paul's plan to restore it. Onward! Think of General Washington's troops in the frigid winter...

"That is the stage we find ourselves in right now: Yes we will petition for redress through our calls and letters and protests, and yes it's likely we will continue to be ignored, but it must be done."

So you admit that you will be ignored, but you will continue the same approach. In the end, you will harbor no results, and by the statement you just made, you know this.

"In order for the Revolution to have any credibility whatsoever, we must be able to demonstrate 1) That we are approaching/under a state of Tyranny. 2) That living under Liberty is preferable to Tyranny. 3) That we pursued in every possible instance and with our fullest effort, Peaceful means for resisting Tyranny in the promotion of Liberty.

The People will not recognize this as tyranny. They've been indoctrinated to a point of no return, and they will ultimately blame the capitalists for the collapse of the markets. They will blame those who embrace less government as enemies of freedom and liberty, because to them it is government that grants them that. They have no understanding of natural rights. They support candidates that marginalize such things everyday.

"But first, we need to make sure the Senators know there will be severe political pain if they don't stop this monstrosity. And don't give up on Audit the Fed yet, we'll keep it moving forward, per Dr. Paul's plan to restore it. Onward! Think of General Washington's troops in the frigid winter..."

With all do respect, attempting to bring severe political pain on politicians is laughable. How exactly do we intend on doing that? By voting them out in 2010? Doesn't anyone remember what Joseph Stalin said? "It doesn't matter how you vote, it matters who counts the votes (paraphrase)." It's futile, look what they did to Ron Paul in Nevada (and he wasn't even going to win that state with the delegates he won!).

The difference between us and George Washington is that he and his men at least had guns to achieve revolution, while we have a document that these crooks fail to uphold, even though they said they would. Some weapon...

And let's see what statist have as weapons...

Big corporations
Large media networks
The military
Biological and nuclear weapons
Public education
Welfare entitlements
And a good looking, eloquent speaking, black Chicago senator that is now our president who preaches big government propaganda better than anyone I have seen in the new millennium.

Did I mention they also have Oprah?

It is dreadful thing to say, and it fills me with fear and dispair, but... Ricky201 is right. I watched in morbid disbelief as I-1033 got crushed in WA state. We worked our butts of getting it on the ballot. A bill intended to force our state governments to spend responsibly and put ALL tax increases to a vote for the PEOPLE to decide. Not only did the sheeple of WA vote it down overwhelmingly, they formed groups to vote it down. Gaggles of these mouth breathers gathered together and expounded on the evils of 1033... saying the bill was an attack against the middle class for some unfathomable reason... talking about how it was evil Tim's plan to punish the middle class... As though protecting the small businesses and home owners from oppressive tax, and giving the people the ability to decide for themselves was anything but good for the middle class.

At that moment, I was convinced. People are beyond stupid. They are sheep to the slaughter, and this government is the butcher. Before the fall of every great nation, there have always been mobs of people ignorantly cheering for their own doom.

At this point, those few of us who believe in liberty have no choice but to beg for the military to intercede and stop the Collectivist maddness... because I no longer believe this can be done without force.

Some of you believe that rights come from god. I am not one of those people. Rights are won on the battlefield. I have a 3 month old daughter. I am so terrified for her future that I don't know what to do. History books are filled with the same fall, under the same circumstances again and again. The result is always mass graves and fabricated history.

Voting them out won't matter. Those who voted for the bill will be rewarded by the olagarchy wether they win or loose the election. Thats even if they "can" get voted out... afterall... WA is the proud user of electronic voter machines.

Sending letters, faxes, e-mails... what has it accomplished? It "almost" worked during the Bailout... but then it didn't. Now, they don't even care any more. They know its all we've got. Unless something major changes in 2010... then you can be assured its either fight, or savor the last days of freedom you have left to you. And I don't think anyone's going to be fighting. In all of history, they never have until the Totalitarianistic government finally collapses under its own weight... but by then, America will be long dead.

Unless our military revolts, there is no hope in my opinion. Right now, our drones are wiping entire families out of existance in Pakastan with their remote controlled drone assassins. Wedding parties, orphanages... innocent men women and children being destroyed as "collateral damage" to get one suspected "terrorist" whatever the hell that is. All in the name of finding these ellusive terrorists. Meanwhile, they are creating a whole new generation of new terrorists that will need to be hunted down for future wars.

Perpetual, undeclaired, unjust war. No thought given to civlilian casualties, no goal, save for the act, in and of itself. This is the polar opposite of what America was supposed to be. We were supposed to be the light of hope on this earth. Our soldiers should be revolting against these orders, yet they are not. Yet while they are over there following illegal orders, the government who is telling the who to kill is over here stripping everything that made this country great away from her. Reducing her to yet another dark stain in history. Another Orwellion nightmare... and one, with our level of technology, that we may never wake up from for a very long time.

Our votes no longer count, nor matter, and until we realize this we will lose what is most important to us, our freedom. This bill will control every aspect of our lives, and if we don't abide by this new bill, we will go to jail, lol, yes, jail. Kind of reminds me of auto insurance, if you don't have it, you get fined and go to jail.

I think we should all quit our jobs and give up. I'm seriously thinking about selling my home and doing a vanishing act before another national emergency is announced.

It's like this, our government does not abide by our Constitution, they break the laws of the land whenever they want, they want the One World Order, and bygollygee, they are going to get what they want!!! Since they do not play fair, why are we? Over 80% of Americans were against this bill, and yet, it passed. What does that tell us? It tells me that our voices are not heard and no one is listening to "WE THE PEOPLE". You can call your senators, congressmen, or Joe Blow, I don't think it will make a difference.

I'm rambling, I know this, but I am so P-Oed, that right now I could almost take on the world all by myself and win the battle!!!

Get angry people, get real angry, because this is only the beginning of our battle for freedom!!!!

My heart sank when I read this. I genuinely feel despair. This passed in the House, so there is no hope at all for it to be turned down in the Senate. Obama will not keep his promise to veto it for exceeding costs, nor will he honor his campaign promises. Even with state nullification, costs will still spill over and states will be crushed into compliance. There is no hope. This is the end.

Magwan, I feel your pain about 1033. It was such a historic legislation, and people were even propagandized to believe the legislation would actually higher their property taxes (one of my co-workers said she read an article that announced just that, but never bothered to read a bill that wasn't even 4 pages long). I live in beautiful North Bend, and I wasn't willing to give up on this place, but after those results and seeing the insufferable cheering of the communist elite once the magical number of 218 was reached, I had lost all hope of a peaceful revolution.

My knowledge of Austrian economics, foreign policy, and history is superior to those in Washington DC no doubt. But the power they possess through the media is unfathomable and nothing ever before seen in the history of the world. They're tools of indoctrination are massive, and they're physical weapons are not something to joke about either.

It's not easy to lose hope in the peaceful revolution and to admit that, but to commit infidelity to my feelings would be a huge disservice to myself, and I do not believe that the American people will ever wake up from this madness.

I've said this before, but I think it's worth bringing up. If you have ever watched Lisa Ling's (I know I'm bringing up a Gore lunatic, but this is worth the mentioning) documentary on North Korea, than you would know how indoctrinated the citizens their are by their government. The truth is that is one thing that the government is more efficient in than the free market: brainwashing. The truth is that is what all governments specialize in. The American government and the American people are no different than North Korean government and the North Korean people. The North Korean government is just ahead of the game.

What do you guys suggest we do then? I am fed up (no pun intended) as well, but where do go from here? I'm not sure, but I almost think the military would take the gov't's side, the number of sheep are too great, and with all of the unconstitutional FBIs, CIAs, BATFEs, etc., how can we win? A bloody revolution seems out of the question.

@Everyone else: do we just give up the fight and become subservient? We know that the people are too stupid to do anything more then vote D or vote R, neither of which care about the Constitution. A voting revolution also seems out of the question (both local and federal).

What would the founders do at this point (that would actually get some results)? Are we forgetting things in history that didn't work and only focusing on the things that did and that's why it seemed so easy? Or is it simply that we are buried too deep and simply can't follow in their footsteps to reproduce the same results?

Sorry, I am tired, pissed, and rambling.

There is a sense of despair. We need some thoughts and direction to promote the campaign for liberty over the campaign for government run healthcare.

On another note, sometimes I think the only hope would be a hard reset with a currency failure. Many will suffer, especially those who support Obamacare and similar government policies.

The upcoming dollar crisis will do this. And we liberty and freedom lovers must grow in numbers and be in place and prepared to lead peacefully the nation back to the Constitution and prosperity. Yes, many, many will suffer, and we must lead by example. I find hope in Celente's suggestion that we will have a renaissance, and this disaster of a bill should only strengthen our resolve to continue. Some of those who still sleep are not hurting enough yet. As life continues to get harder, they will want real change: Liberty and Freedom.

Liberty Lover,

No one should count on the military rebelling against the government. Hardly anyone understands the Constitution, and while many do not like Obama, it is strictly the way the Republican party and Fox News tell them to hate him. Not many have "principles" and most are misguided sheep. Many believe that we should have conscription and that would solve America's problems.

I get out of the Air Force in 2012, and I will either be moving out of America or dealing with rebuilding the nation. It depends on whether things have crashed with the dollar and government or not. In the mean time, while I am in, I am buying guns, ammo, silver, gold, and storable food. However, we will see how things go.

Karen,

While that would be the preferable scenario, it is not historically likely. Look at what happens to other nations with a monetary collapse, and what the government resorts to. As long as they have propaganda, guns, and fear on their side, they will win and oppress the people.

So a monetary collapse probably will not result in a libertarian government, but rather a totalitarian government with price controls and street patrols.

You know where the hope is? "One World Governments", like we are headed for, have historically always failed leaving behind anarchey.

Once this take over topples there will be a vacuum that will either be filled by something good or something bad for the people. That is where understanding and educating others about the Constitution and what the Founding Fathers created becomes seriously important.

I might add that freedom fighters who have used violence never succeeded (Che Rivira). The most successful freedom fighters have been men like Gandhi and Martin Luther King. Even after their assignations the people picked up the tourch, and continued the dream.

The Continental Congress is to meet November 11 to discuss these matters and to find a path to restore the Constitution.

At least be aware of this endeavor.

Robert Shultz is the founder of the We The People Foundation and the author of at least seven petitions which were served to elected officials in Washington based on the last ten words of the First Amendment: the right to petition the government for redress of grievances.

At least the passage of this bill will give us ammunition to use to enlighten their constituents when we try to replace them in office.

The ends do not justify the means. They think they are will intentioned but will stop at nothing, ignoring the fact that there is no authorization in the Constitution for this massive takeover of medicine.

Recruit, recruit, recruit! There are over 222K of us now. We need to double and redouble until we are in the millions, then on to the tens of millions. The population isn't static. Young people coming up will hear our voices like never before.

I am not an avid reader of Harry Potter. But it amazes me how many times fiction has become reality...almost as if the writer was atune to Something Higher.

In the one of the last books (not sure which one). The establishment kept adding rules and regulations. Eventually it was unlawful to practice wizardry for real. One could only learn of it in books chosen by the establishment. Harry and others met in secret teaching other students the real art in practice. The story goes on about the strugles and many dangers they met as they simply educated others about what they knew.

But eventually the wall of rules and regulations became so heavy that the wall came tumbleing down, and then Harry faced the true demon who was behind the whole thing.

Remember the politicians are only the front men.

Romacox,
Forget fiction stories, it's amazing at how many non-fiction writers predicted this! John Calhoun in his Disquisition on Government, Patrick Henry in his speeches, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison in the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions of 1798, John Lock, Benjamin Franklin "A Republic Madam, if you can keep it" and the list goes on. But we didn't listen to these men and now we have to fight the Revolution all over again (without guns I mean).

i am not saying that we had no effect and we did. but it all seems for nothing when there is a majority socialist party in power. this is a sad day.

calling and faxing and protesting is not working. this is politicians against the people with no representation. the people do not want this bill and they ram it anyway. there is no longer justice or representation in this country. what kind of box is left when the soap box we stand on does not deter them from screwing us every damn time? i am sick and tired of it and i cant take this tyranny any more. these democrat socialists laugh and cheer as they ram it. they really think its funny and im sick of it.

Time to take the fight to the state legislatures. The U.S. Congress is a lost-cause. Georgia may propose a bill to reserve for us the right to opt out of the federal healthcare plan. Several other states are kicking around the idea, and we need to see that any opt-out bills get the support they need to pass.

Well I have to say this really knocked the wind out of me. I want to believe that a peaceful revolution is possible but frankly after this I just don't see how. The people in power will do just about anything to continue in their efforts to centralize and grow that power over the people. I would think that the only recourse left is to urge our state Representatives that voted against the bill to secede from the union and for people such as ourselves to move to states that would embrace our views. If your in a major urban entitlement area then there's no hope that many will hear and really understand the message anyway. Voting and faxing it away just won't work as has been proven from repeated failures. It's my opinion that the only course now is to secede and fight.

Fadestyle, my thoughts exactly...

I just don't get the strategy of writing letters or calling representatives of the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Boxer, Franken, or whatever Republicrat is in office. It is a wasted effort to push this approach.

What needs to happen is, if you care, get boots on the ground in your home precincts to get constitutional conservatives elected. The money and effort should be spent there. Educational outreach to present how the incremental destruction of our Constitution, and the Republic for which it stands, has lead to the vast majority the problems facing our country today, should also be very very high on the agenda.

All the efforts must be done in a thoughtful and positively engaging way to build broad support across the political spectrum.

As much as it hurts philosophically to some of us we have to work within the Republican party as they currently represent the only electable political brand...

Hey Mirand, we have a Health Care freedom act bill introduced already in the Florida House and Senate. I just wrote an email to my state senator, luckily Sandy Adams my rep is already a cosponsor. This bill rebukes federal mandates to compel participating in required health care systems. I am going to focus on getting my Senator and working with the rest of CFL florida on that.

@Ricky201, The peaceful revolution is exactly the most effective solution. We got here through "education". Schools leave young adults with the wrong information and no desire to seek the truth themselves. Ron Paul cured my apathy, I've cured others', and so forth. If there is a violent effort between freedom lovers and the government, it will be started by the government, and the ranks of the freedom lovers will swell fast, starving the government machine.

A good government has just one purpose: To enforce contracts. Even that can mostly be done by private parties and at zero taxation. Our constitution was designed with one special mechanism: It was supposed to be self-limiting.

Believe me, when the US Government pulls a Tiananmen Square massacre during a DC march, you'll have no problem finding people to reload your gun.

@Silentboom: The people in DC aren't America, but WE THE PEOPLE are.

@Ron Paul: As with Washington, if you run, the votes will be there. I was a lone voice among dozens of McCain, Romney, Huckabee, etc., supporters. NOW they ALL support you, watch your videos, and pay very close attention. Will you again run in 2012 so long as the support base keeps growing and the donations keep flowing?

My two cents. In one sense it doesn't matter. Economic pressure will become so great that the federal government will collapse. The fiscal mismanagement has been bad for a long time and has now reached extreme levels. They are on a crash course with reality. Fiscal conservatives will be running the government, either by election or by necessity, sometime in the next 15 years or so.

Also, at least it was close. Swinging 5 votes isn't as hard as it could be (although you have to try to swing 20 or more as the opposition tries to erode your team).

I agree with the sentiment that you have to work to get your local Constitutionalist, Libertarian, and fiscal conservative Republican, into office at any level of government possible. Be active in education locally. Be active against the status quo democrats as much as possible.

In PA, we could have gained some ground in the judiciary, but the Republicans DID NOT SHOW at the poles. Sorry state of affairs. I voted.

Having fought and taught and organized peacefully and lost may be the best thing that could have happened. The People have been mobilized and energized, united -against- this bill. Now that so many more people see the disingenuousness of the Republicrats, and our independent voters are now numbering over 40%, Washington will be watching its steps.

If we all got together and defeated the legislation, many people would cheer once and go home. Now millions are crying "foul".

what other box is left when the soap box and ballot box fail to work?

As I ponder upon this momentously horrid occurrence it is as if I have just woken up from a nightmare and been thrown directly into the plot of George Orwell's 1984, with no hope of escape. As this thought grabs hold I am lead to ponder more and more about America and I ask myself a few questions.

Since when did the Constitution provide for a health care guarantee? Since when did the Constitution grant the Congress the power to force Americans into a health care dystopia? What good is a Constitution if we choose to ignore it? What good is a Constitution if the Congress simply chooses to create a new one in their own graven socialist image?

Truly, these questions are meaningless now. The Constitution is hanging by the tiniest of threads. Who will save it? Who will come to its rescue?

Congress and the Obama administration have lost touch with reality. With Japan on the verge of sovereign default, the Royal Bank of India diverging 2% of its reserves into precious metals and the Chinese, Russians and Iranians talking about replacing the dollar, our government's spending spree is about to be severely curtailed.

Congress must believe force of arms will allow them to keep foisting worthless dollar reserves on everybody, but the largest military in the world is meaningless without the money to fuel, service and feed it.

This bill will pass, and in the next few months, Congress will pass another stimulus bill to counteract ever higher unemployment rates. These two legislative measures will create even higher job losses, which will spark more deflation and another stock market crash. More banks will go under and be closedbailed out. Central banks around the world will be compelled to raise interest rates. The world will decouple from us and move on.

This bill and possibly the cap and trade bill (if passed) will be the nail in the coffin of the welfare state. Once the next wave of deflation hits, tax revenues will tank even more. This will effectively kill all faith in the dollar. Here's to hoping that the American people decouple themselves from the US government as well (before it's too late).

I will stand with you Ricky201.

I think our only hope of revolution is to reinstate the state militia and push forward with secession. Take the tax dollars away from the tyrants and they will have nothing left to stand on. If you can't pay for a military or domestic quasi-military agencies anymore then your power base implodes.

It will not take more than a few hundred thousand people to stand up in arms against our tyrannical federal government. There are many more of US than THEM.

I am not entirely convinced the military would fire on American citizens who are upholding their rights under the constitution and following what the declaration tells us is our obligation. I hear of more military servicemen leaving on constitutional grounds or objecting to orders, this kind of dissent could become pervasive as things get worse. This gives me some kind of hope people in the service might do the right thing.

It is time to water the tree of liberty once more!

They did it again. Our so-called elected representatives proved they are no more than slaves of their Coprorate Masters and slammed through terrible legislation at night over the weekend. Just like the bank bailout. Only this time it was so-called health care reform. And, yes, the "bi-partisan" capitulation to the Insurance Cartel is total. Aetna owns both Republicans and Democrats. The democratic plan is a monstrosity, but the republican plan was weak, spineless, and ineffecutal.

I have watched both groups who might have STOPPED this wrong-headed, insane legislation fight eachother as the Insurance Cartel laughs all the way to the Bailout Bank.

The tea-baggers protested the "reform" and so did the single-payor advocates. Both groups seem to hate eachother and yet I wonder if they could join forces?

What can we do in the face of this horror?

DEMAND repeal of the McCarran-Ferguson Act. DEMAND that the DoJ enforce anti-trust and anti-monopoly laws against the Insurance Cartel. Call me a crazy optimist, but I hope the Judicial Branch is not owned lock, stock, and barrel by insurance companies as the Congress and President appear to be.

FIGHT FOR TRUE FREE MARKET:
The status quo of 5-6 Goliath insurance corporations controlling healthcare is NOT free market. How did this happen?

The 1945 McCarran-Ferguson act exempted health insurance companies from the normal anti-trust and anti-monoply laws that ostensibly insure TRUE free markets. Free from any enforcement by the DoJ, the insurance companies formed huge corporations which now control not only healthcare, but apparently every polititician on Capitol Hill from the President on down.

Please STOP fighting the advocates of single-payor healthcare and labeling them hateful "socialists". Instead, please build bridges toward them and ENCOURAGE them to join the fight to REPEAL McCarran-Ferguson Act.

In a true free market, healthcare would become more affordable and people would be far LESS likely to WANT government care. Most people who support single-payor do it b/c they HATE the insurance cartel - not b/c they love the government. Their goals are similar to yours even if their proposed solution is different. And they hate this corrupt reform package just as much as you do.

Libertarians, make the single-payor advocates your allies in the fight FOR repeal of the McCarran-Ferguson Act! Use your words and minds to BEFRIEND the single-payor camp and UNITE to repeal McCarran-Ferguson. The true enemy is the Insurance Cartel and their lapdog Repub-o-crats.

Perhaps repeal of McCarran-Ferguson is not the silver bullet which will fix the whole mess ... but it is the best start we have. DEMAND repeal of McCarran-Ferguson. DEMAND the DoJ prosecute Aetna/WellPoint/Cigna under anti-trust laws. BREAK their monopoly. Only then will a TRUE free market become possible.

I am sure someone on their staff reads our emails and letters and reports the numbers. I am sure some of the mail they get is congratulations for their vote!

I think it is valuable that we keep up the emails and letters so they don't just get the affirmative ones.

But the most important things we can do as individuals is to read the books by Ron Paul, Murray Rothbard, Ayn Rand, Ludwig von Mises, Bastiat, Henry Hazlitt, George Reisman, Sheldon RIchman, Jacob Hornberger, and the journals:
www.campaignforliberty.com daily feature articles
www.fff.org monthly Freedom Daily
www.fee.org The Freeman
www.atlassociety.com
www.aynrand.org
www.mises.org
www.cafehayek.com

And the next most important think is to RECRUIT. RECRUIT, RECRUIT
Once there are more of us than of them we don't have to live under their laws and regulations, get to keep the money we earn and do what we want with every penny, save it, invest it, spend it, give to charity, help someone, support our own favorite charity or causes.

But it doesn't make sense to go postal now or take up arms. We still have freedom of speech and of the press and of assembly and worship etc.

You are right, but don't loose focus here. These Republicans are no different! They had 8 years to take us in the other direction, but instead, they did worst then nothing; they took the fascist route and expanded government in health care.

The problem is the system! It cannot be reformed, it must be abolished! (peacefully)

Succession is the only viable option. If you can't reform, you disengage. And not only to state level, but to county, city, town, and whatever it takes to achieve individual freedom.

It's funny that you mentioned Thoreau because after seeing this I immediately went and read Civil Disobedience. Here's an excerpt from it I particularly like:

I have never declined paying the highway tax, because I am as desirous of being a good neighbor as I am of being a bad subject; and as for supporting schools, I am doing my part to educate my fellow-countrymen now. It is for no particular item in the tax-bill that I refuse to pay it. I simply wish to refuse allegiance to the State, to withdraw and stand aloof from it effectually. I do not care to trace the course of my dollar, if I could, till it buys a man or a musket to shoot one with — the dollar is innocent — but I am concerned to trace the effects of my allegiance. In fact, I quietly declare war with the State, after my fashion, though I will still make what use and get what advantage of her I can, as is usual in such cases.

I have to agree with others that there's really little chance that this will be significantly opposed. Anyone remember that the Carbon Tax bill was passed through the house not too long ago? It's clear to me that Congress is trying to take us down in flames with it.

On the other hand, there is still hope. There is a fine tradition of non-compliance within the American spirit. Whether it was the Vietnam War's drafting, or the Alcohol Prohibition, that tradition is still alive today. If we are vigilant, we can keep it alive.

This is not over. Even if it passes, enforcing it is one other thing. For this reason we need to press on the issue of state and individual sovereignty.

I watched pretty much the whole thing on CSPAN (off and on throughout the whole day). I know I shouldn't be, but I was surprised by the ridiculousness being espoused during the 'debate' portion.

What really got me was how the Constitution[ality] was only brought up 4 or 5 times the whole day and nobody who supported the bill ever addressed that concern (though for most of the arguments that mentioned it, it seemed more like a grab for reasons not to support the bill rather than an actual devotion to the Constitution).

When it came down to the final vote I was glued to my screen and I was praying it would be defeated. Needless to say my heart sank when I heard the cheering on the floor, triumphant in their latest power grab, laughing and patting themselves on the back...

It also disgusted me just how often supporters of the bill kept saying what a 'historic day' this is and how honored they were to be a part of this 'historic' legislation...Sounds exactly like they did during the presidential campaign about Obama...

@Statmeister - Of course he will. He and other's are the reason no Campaign for Liberty members should even consider a donation of even the smallest amount to the GOP. This is coming from a Republican. I suggest only donating to campaigns, 501 c's (like C4L) and the Republican Liberty Caucus.

I think it may be a good idea to start complaining on GOP.com and writing to the GOP establishment regarding firing Michael Steele. He's a spineless, useless, moron devoid of principle. He supported Scozzafava and said there's room in the party for more like her.

@JohnF - The collapse will actually be easier than that, especially if you consider what Peter Schiff has been saying. Basically, if Japan ditches us it will be enough for hyperinflation because we will have to pay them off and don't have the money to do so. Japan is likely to do this because their economy is in dire straights. Cap and Trade will cause energy prices to skyrocket, resulting in extremely angry citizenry, and we'll see serious healthcare rationing in the first year of Obamacare.

All I know is we're DEFINATELY going to experience the Greatest Depression. It is time to load up on guns and ammo, water, generators (and carbon minoxide detectors! we don't need them killing us!) first aid supplies, canned foods and more. Convert savings to precious metals, as the dollar becomes worthless, instead of growing poorer, you'll grow richer as the price of gold and other metals go through the roof!

Note before reading: This was not to offend anyone, just express my thoughts. Read the whole thing before judging.

You know, it amazes me, how had I not gotten out of the military 3 years ago before it was my time, how incredibly clueless I would be of this mess. I was suppose to come home next may for a 6 year term, but I left early for personal reasons, not dishonorable or anything, I was allowed to leave for honorable conditions. I even changed the way I ate and took care of myself, it was like a total transformation. I am not a religious man but I felt that I had been led to that somehow, it was amazing.

I was so clueless about what was happening in Washington before I got out, but in such a short time, when I actually had time to THINK. I realized something was terribly wrong with my country. It makes you wonder how many other people would wake up, if they just took the time or even HAD the time. People will always make excuses about their time, though. I then had a desire to wake people up. I was always the curious type and the Socratic questioner.

Just imagine how many people would be outraged if they knew the truth, yet when I ever tried to tell people, they would REFUSE, to even read the information I brought them. It was almost as if a DEMON, possessed their minds and twisted them to refuse. I just can't understand this madness. I am not religious but sometimes I really do wonder about things like that.

I am a very good debater and persuader, but when I started to talk about these things, my success rate strangely changed and became almost impossible. I started to get really paranoid that somehow something supernatural was controlling their minds so that they wouldn't even use their REASON. I could do the most in depth research, bring forth the most piercing arguments and NOTHING would break through their thick skulls. Their brains turned off, their eyes glazed over. Apathy took hold in their expression. In my other debates on other topics, people would be more willing to read my information and take the time to talk, but not this time. Why?! Does a bailout to a bank with your taxpayer money seem OK to you? Does it?

And I swear, when I got into a very aggressive debate with one of those thick skulled people, I swear he made the witches hand symbol subconsciously, I don't think he even realized it. If nobody knows what that means, go look up what I'm talking about. Take one hand, pull down your two middle fingers and yea, you will know what I mean. Possessed. You can think I'm crazy all you want, I know what I saw. I'm not the religious type either. I did research on that and it actually was a real hand symbol of the occult, go look it up.

I brought the bill to them for this health care scheme, and they REFUSED to even read the thing!!! Not even one sentence, one paragraph, one anything! It seemed that on this historic moment in history, EVERYTHING was more important then their FREEDOM. I told them about the free market and how it would work, yet they didn't listen and kept arguing that we should care for the misfortunate and "what if you get sick" weak arguments. I told them how the free market would be the fairest way of helping the misfortunate yet they ignored me.

I said to them, "Why do you support something when you don't even know what it says?" And they look at me and say, "I just don't believe that there is anything wrong in that bill, I just won't believe it, Obama is a good man and he is doing a great job". WHAT??!! HOW?! So you would sign for a loan at a bank without knowing what the interest rate is? Are you serious?

God help us, if there even is one..........what the hell do we do about these people? What is it going to take to penetrate those skulls? People, we need to find a solution, or were doomed. It would be interesting to see what campaign for liberty does now? Or even Ron Paul?

I refuse to believe in bible prophecy, that's why I forsook Christianity and Catholicism, because I feel that they desire mans destruction for their own selfish ends. On their front they preach love and virtue, and underneath they desire Armageddon and the day of judgment. The church is corrupt and I don't feel they represent God, Jesus, or any true holiness, just power. All those tithes sure haven't made the world a better place. They want Jesus to come, so they aren't standing up and doing what's right, because they desire the end of the world. They tell me things like, it was in the bible prophecy, this is suppose to happen, so our job is to not get in the way. 100% cowards and hypocrites if you ask me! I refuse to let my family die so your so called savior can come and rock you to sleep.

Sorry if I offended anyone, but I am expressing my feelings on this. You can take it however you want. But I feel that we are dealing with more then just stupid people, we are dealing with some supernatural force that is manipulating events as well as peoples minds. To make it ten times harder to get through to them. To turn off their reason. Or it could be the chemical dumbing down of America from food and other sources. Pollution.

If I can't even get someone to watch a video or read an article because they refuse to take personal responsibility for their freedom and other things seriously, what can you do? Yet if Fox news, reported, that there was a serial killer in their town, they would damn sure care and pay attention.

Is it trust? Is it because you have to get to know them so they trust what you have to say? I think this is a major component but its impossible to make friends with your entire town before the damage is done. We don't have time to get all brotherly with each other. We need to inform people, and we need to inform people NOW!

Rally as many people as possible in the campaign for liberty, and get ready to take physical action, people, its the only way.

Never surrender your rights! Liberty or death! Make your choice!

Is there any way to make this kind of bill require a 2/3 majority instead of a simple 1/2 majority? Something of this magnitude and impact on all our lives should be something that 2/3 of the house or now the Senate should do.

I have fought and won my way back onto C4L people and have read all the comments, most are saying a physical fight, it may be just the truth. People other than C4L have tried to keep me off the site cause they know I have been hitting it on the nail head.
I still say, petition for impeachment, why not? It is our right to. Once again, remember Clinton went through the process just for cheating on his wife.
Why it did not work? He was not threatening the constitution or the nation as with our present President.
We have all that is needed to approach this endeavor.
Obama has not protected the constitution rather has dismissed it all together.
He is this nations highest of criminals and so is his administration in my opinion.
How many more kicks to the nuts do we need?
Pelosi said, "Are you Kidding Me"! when someone cried from the crowd, "What About the Constitution"?.
That just told me that who ever cried that out was a joke to her, as if the constitution was just a historical document of no authority in our country any longer.
That my people is not preserving the constitution, that my friends in it self is treason!

Last chance to dance PEOPLE OF AMERICA!

Today on Fox News I watched as a Congressmen and a Senator said it isn’t too late. The people can revolt!

Impeach and charge or be government slaves in your NEAR FUTURE!
Do Not Think I am talking crap. I have called it before Obama was elected.
