Awesome vid. Nice production and acting as well. Kudos.
The sad thing is that as I watch this, I can see showing it to a lot of liberal friends who would say, "Right, the government should put all of the greedy cable providers out of business because all they care about is profit." The whole printing money and monopoly thing would go right over their heads because it would be the government doing it, which is of course always benevolent and just..... of course.....
I can picture what your're saying with some of my liberal friends. Maybe analogies might help to break through to the brainwashed. How about these rough ideas:
-"Government is like the fox guarding the henhouse"
-"Government 'benevolence' is akin to ants shepherding and milking aphids. Do you like being an aphid? Or would you rather be a free man?"
-"Big government is like the drug manufacturer, dealer, and pimp all in one. Do you feel safer as a big government addict?"
I'm sure others can come up with better analogies, but I think its an idea that would help make people stop and think.
His answer to going broke is priceless! It gave me a good chuckle, which was then followed by the solemnity that comes from it being the horrible, horrible truth.
"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."
—Thomas Jefferson
