Open Letter To Every U.S. Senator.
Please find a way to either co-sponsor or initiate alternatives to the destructive health care proposal that is currently being passed off as the only solution.
Please read these Acts being circulated in the House of Representatives and find a way to bring them to the Senate for consideration.
H.R. 2629, the Coercion is Not Health Care Act, stops government from taking even more of our money and railroading us into its health care scheme by preventing any individual or agency in the federal government from requiring anyone to purchase health insurance. H.R. 2629 also prohibits conditioning the receipt of any government benefit or participation in any government program on the purchase or maintenance of health insurance.
H.R. 1495, the Comprehensive Health Care Reform Act of 2009, allows all Americans to pay their health care bills through the method that suits them best by providing all Americans with a tax credit for 100% of health care expenses (fully refundable against both income and payroll taxes), allowing individuals to roll over unused amounts in cafeteria plans and Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA), providing a tax credit for premiums for a high-deductible insurance policy connected with a Health Savings Account (HSA) and allowing seniors to use funds in an HSA to pay for a medigap policy, as well as making all medical expenses tax deductible by repealing the 7.5% threshold for the deduction of medical expenses.
H.R. 1498, the Freedom from Unnecessary Litigation Act of 2009, addresses rising medical malpractice costs by providing a tax credit for negative outcomes insurance purchased prior to medical treatment and by preventing medical malpractice awards obtained through binding arbitration from being taxed.
Relying on negative outcomes insurance instead of litigation will also reduce the costs imposed on physicians, other health care providers, and hospitals by malpractice litigation.
H.R. 2630, the Protect Patients and Physicians Privacy Act, allows patients and physicians to opt-out of any government-mandated or -funded system of electronic health care records and repeals the federal law creating an “unique patient identifier.” It also denies the use of federal funds to advance the use of standard unique health identifiers in any federal, state, or private health care plan.
H.R. 3394, the Freedom of Health Speech Act, requires the FTC to actually prove health care claims are false before preventing those claims from being made, and H.R. 3395, the Health Freedom Act, ends the FDA’s attempts to censure truthful health claims.
Vaccines are a medical necessity to fight disease but,
H1N1 is totally medical overkill and of course companies and people are getting rich off of yelling 'fire' in a crowded theatre.
The gov't couldn't pass out candy bars on Halloween to kids without messing up the distribution system.
This is the first I have heard that Obama's kids haven't gotten the vaccine and that is very interesting indeed. It will be even more interesting to see if they get it at all.
How are they even determining if a flu is H1N1 or not? How are they sure that 1,000 have died from it? What are the long term effects of this vaccine? I will never take it... in fact I never take the vaccine for the so called "regular flu".
They declare an emergency to to get rid of their own bureaucracy... that is a typical example of the joke our government is.

INVASION OF PRIVACY OK FOR SOME NEW YORKERS
The State of New York has decided that flu shots will be mandatory this flu season.(Since rescinded) Not for all New Yorkers, only healthcare workers. This constitutes a gross abuse of authority by the State.
New York State does not have the right to mandate vaccinations of health care workers. This is not to say that the State does not have the right to ensure the health of it's citizens, it most certainly does. This right ,however, is not absolute but conditional. These conditions are based upon, first and foremost, a real and eminent danger. Such is not the case at present.
Every year we hear the same warnings from the same talking heads of CDC and the NY State DOH. "this years outbreak is going to be the worst" or "this year it will be a pandemic" etc. The CDC and DOH must justify their existence. It is just one more example of a parasitic bureaucracy in a country now run by bureaucracies. How much of our tax dollars goes to fund this organ of the parasite known as "government"? Government should stay out of people's business unless the common good needs to be protected. It has just not been proven that the "swine flu pandemic" meets this criterion,
A further condition must be that any action taken by government insofar as to ensure the common weal is that it (the action) cannot be arbitrary. All of the citizens must be “protected” or none of them should be. Not only is this action arbitrary, but it is further accentuated by the fact that even within a hospital setting some workers must be immunized while others (administrators, data entry ,maintenance etc) do not. This information is listed under “Definitions” Sec 66.31and can be found at the New York State web page (WWW.NY.GOV)
Sec 66.32-states”If the Commissioner determines the vaccine supplies are not adequate given the number of personnel to be vaccinated or vaccine(s) are not reasonably available, the Commissioner may suspend the requirement(s)...
in other words vaccines are mandated but not essential ! If it were essential the Commissioner (the State) would be duty bound to ensure the supply of vaccines.
Sec 66.35 Listed under “Documentation” requires the health Care Facility to document and keep in the personnel file all of those who receive the vaccine but also the “date, site of administration, type of vaccine, manufacturer and lot number, reactions if any, vaccine information given and the name of the person administering the vaccine.
Essentially the State is using health care workers as test subjects to be monitored for adverse effects of non essential vaccines.
I have stated above that these are ‘non essential vaccines’ and I will now use the State’s own information to prove my point. On the States web page under “vaccinations” where all of the above information may be found are a few tables showing the incidence of flu in hospitals.
Table 1 shows Confirmed Influenza “Outbreaks” in NY State Hospitals and LTCF’s (long term care facilities -which by the way would include AIDS patients) The table begins in the year 2000-2001 and ends 2006-7. Not a very broad survey, explained in a footnote to Table 2 that “no data is available before Jan 1 2001. Previous to that I guess it was not important enough to keep track of. For our little study we shall use the last year available. 2006-7 saw 70 outbreaks according to table 1. Scrolling down to Table 2 we find that the number of patients/ residents reported ill(suspected and confirmed) with nonsocomial influenza for the same year at 663. This number as was stated includes AIDS patients whose very condition makes them the most susceptible. Table 2 also lists staff that were reported ill and (both suspected and confirmed) cases of flu at 158. So that brings the total of suspected and or confirmed number of staff and patients with influenza in 2006-7 to 821 cases throughout the State of NY contained within the “outbreak” number of 70.
This is less than 12 people per “outbreak” who may have had the flu. Not exactly a pandemic is it.
As a digression,, why are AIDS patients given such sweeping privacy that no one can even find out who they are, not even a prospective sexual partner, thereby ensuring the progression of a true threat to the health and safety of the State and Nation.
There is an motto amongst the “elite” social engineers. That slogan is “Order out of Chaos” . However what they don’t tell you is that they create the Chaos and give you their own brand of Order. Why, you may ask, would our own government create chaos? “Marxist-Leninist strategy is derived from and dependent on an intensifying crisis.”. If you think that Communism is dead please think again. It is alive and well and it lives in this country!
Finally, the threat of loss of employment unless one complies is dictatorial and is a further step in the direction of totalitarianism! Since when in this "the land of the free and the home of the brave" does the government threaten the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness of the citizen unless he knuckle under to the unjust demands of Big Brother?
In closing I would call upon all of the citizens of New York State and of this Nation to tell their Representatives that we shall no longer be fooled by the created chaos of the ever growing cancer of Big Government. It seems that government has become a Hydra and every time a head gets cut, two more appear. America we must take back our country. The "social engineers" will not stop until we are slaves!

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper appeared to hedge when asked if he and his family would get vaccinated.

I'm glad that I've educated my family on the problems with the vaccine. All of them have decided not to get the shot. I've done the research, and I came to the solid conclusion that the shot is nonsense. The government is making a big deal out of nothing. Heck, I've heard people in the media say that the average person has a 90 percent of recovering from the virus.

Of course, you just have to take their word that they were given it, as there's no solid proof of any sorts. I'll still be passing on it, not like this is a doomsday disease anyways.

I apoligize for the duplicate entries of my previous comment. Everytime the site was refreshed it resent my message. I have since remedied this.
I was surprised to hear yesterday that Obama's children were vaccinated. I have to wonder what they were vaccinated with, considering what he knows.
I have convinced my family not to take any vaccines. This was not a problem once they were informed of the studies worldwide and quit listening to their "Boob Tube"
When my mother was a public health nurse in the 1930s immunizations were not available, she watched many individuals die from what is now preventable disease.
What is missing here is science. Vaccinations against childhood diseases prevent many deaths.
My own family lost members during the influenza pandemic of 1918-1919. My father was only 3 years old when his otherwise healthy mother passed away with this flu. My mother-in-law developed polio as a young mother. She had a some recovery, but now is affected by post polio syndrome.
As a public health nurse myself, I have worked some significant outbreaks of measles (two with direct international connections), worked with TB patients who had active disease but were not compliant and posed a significant risk to the community, and worked a number of other outbreaks which could have been prevented by simple vaccinations.
For argument sake, let's just let everyone decide to not get vaccine. OK, so now measles, polio or diphtheria comes back to the US with a vengeance because there is very low levels of immunity. How many of you will be willing to watch as your child's throat closes off when you are not close to emergency care and they contract diphtheria? Do you know how to perform an emergency tracheotomy? Are you willing to allow your child to suffer as my mother-in-law has and does when they contact polio? How will you feel when one of your family members has encephalitis with permanent brain damage from measles?
Just curious. I am all for choices and doctors helping patients make informed choices but most of the physicians in practice today have little experience with the kind of issues dealt with when we did not have childhood (or adult) vaccines or immunizations. I heard today that some surgeon was against the H1N1 vaccine. Now if the professional group representing Infectious Disease specialists step up and state they don't think influenza vaccines of any variety or that childhood immunizations should NOT be given, I might want to listen. I would also demand empirical data to support their reasoning.

FoxyRN, the problem with your argument is that you first start off with the assumption that vaccines do more good than harm. That's not Scientific at all. You haven't even begun to scratch the surface of analyzing the statistics and separating cause from correlation. You haven't even scrutinized the mass manufacturing process of vaccines. You haven't even begun to discuss all the countless factors that play in to a deadly infection, the foremost factor being personal hygiene.
I think skepticism is warranted before you're injected with a substance you yourself have never inspected or analyzed. Wouldn't you agree?
