This is how interviews should be conducted!

Long overall, plenty of time for the guest to explain his reasoning, and questions that allow the guest to make a point instead of questions that presume he's wrong thereby forcing him to defend himself despite the magnitude of the overall topic.

Brilliant! More interviews like this, I say! Great as hash3m explained for the patience of the interviewer and the precision of Dr. Paul's answers. Essential viewing for the American people!

The last 2minute segment sums it all up. Write those words down remember them and repeat them to all who will listen.

Indeed, RP is still the man!

I love when he gets labeled as having a large following of young people. To me this always seems to discredit him a little bit, specifically with new listeners because young people usually have a negative label. I know loads of old people, and those middle-aged as well as young people who follow the intellect of Ron Paul. Good interview besides that.

A Great American Opportunity Is All Yours!

This should be in the email mailbox of every American by the end of the weekend! That is our opportunity!

In a brief fifteen minutes the blood of every American will warm up and then no longer will the cold and corrosive propaganda that the public is constantly being immersed in be acceptable.

Do your friends and neighbors and co-workers and acquaintances a great favor and give them the gift of the delightful flavors of liberty and justice.

Maybe an opportunity like this will not come again, but regardless, this is one that is poised to start a "revolution!"

Like always Mr. Paul is on point. Out Millitary is being stretched out oversea's, and our dollar is being stretched out at home. The only way to truly win in Afgahnistan is to beat out corruption in the Afgahn Government. Our Millitary can't police the world of violence, and police the Government's, so they don't allow corruption . If we could do all that America wouldn't have so many problems. We have our own violece. We have TERRORISTS of our own. They're called child molesters and kidnappers, street gangmembers. We have corruption in our Government we can't stop. Morals + common cents = peace.

I always enjoy Travis' interviews, he is one of the best interviewer out there. Very fair in his questions and actually let's folks respond with OUT interuption.

When he conducts an interview, it is more about his guest, than it is about himself. What a breath of fresh air!

Dr. Paul, as usual....on point....he just makes so much sense. It amazes me STILL that others don't grasp his policies.

I have to admit that Travis conducted a great interview. I have listended to the Travis Smiley Show before and didn't agree with some of his beliefs or opinions, however he shows in this interview his ability to give the interviewee an oportunity to fully explain their point of view.

crice0023 Don't take offense to Paul being labled as having a large following of youth. I think this is a huge benifit to the message of liberty as it is the youth who will carry this message forward. I myself may not be classified as young (though I like to think I am), but am strongly encouraged that his message grabs hold of so many who are younger than I.

Is The Ethics Of Freedom Our True Hope?

The great Statesman sits down and talks with candor and eloquence to the American people via Tavis Smiley and PBS.

Will the unConstitutional coup realize that it has to even censor PBS?

Will Tavis Smiley have the strength of character to maintain his independence, from the pressures that will now come his way?

Will the ethics of freedom regarding the press (media) and speech be the beacon of light that leads our propagandized education out of the darkness?

Tavis did a fine job!!! That was the best interview I've ever seen with Ron Paul. Tavis asked great questions, especially for those that aren't obsessed with this issue like I am.

Well done Tavis and Dr. Paul!!!

Brilliant.

War needs to END NOW.It's time to end the notion of ENDLESS WAR & the twisted ideology "We need to be over there to protect us here". Similar excuse were used to justify Slavery & Colonialism. Age of Imperialism is over. Let the people of Afghanistan & Iraq rule their own land.

Vast majority of people in Mid East & South Asia do NOT want foreign troops occupying their land, just the same way Americans will NOT accept Mexican or Russian troops occupying US soil, would they ?

Time to ask the right question. What would we gain from ENDLESS WAR ? Will it address any of the issues that are at the heart of extremism like America's unconditional support of GENOCIDE by Israel against Palestinians ? If not, is it worth spending billions ? Is it worth the life of thousands Americans, Iraqis & Afghans ?

Let sanity prevail. Let the war END NOW.

Good for Tavis. Has there ever been a serious attempt by C4L or anyone to get Ron on Charlie Rose? Does Charlie refuse to have him on because he's too busy interviewing globalists? I'd love to see Charlie interview Ron for an hour (or 30 min, or even 20 min).

That was a good interview, Travis Smiley actually asked good questions and allowed Dr. Paul to answer them.

Crice0023: I don't think mentioning that Dr. Paul has a huge following of "young people" is a derogatory label at all. As a matter of fact, I think it's a huge compliment. If anyone's going to affect real change it will be the young people. The "young people" are our future; Bill and Hilary Clinton were once young liberals. Bill Clinton actually protested the war in Vietnam. It's interesting that the Clinton's have been very active as war protesters for a couple of years.

I don't know if Ron Paul learning eastern philosophy, but Apparently he is practicing it.

This was a great interview. Ron did an excellent job and this Travis Smiley guy seems like a reasonable dude. I have never heard of him before, but since he seemed to do a good job with the doctor... I will research him a bit more and try to watch him more.

See... that is what people in the media need to do if they are smart ... give Dr. Paul a fair interview with good conversation and an intelligent debate ... and more people will watch them and their shows.

I suggest dropping him a note, recognizing his very courteous interview of Dr. Paul. I disagree with Tavis on many things, but he has just earned my respect, if for no other reason than...

Dr. Paul apparently has a Neo-Con who wants to challenge his Congressional District.
We need to smother this guy next year.
