Is TNGOP telling us to vote against Rep "Zigzag-Zach" Wamp?
Yesterday I wrote a blog pointing out Representative "Zigzag Zach" Wamp's support for unionizing police, fire, and medical services across the country by cosponsoring HR413. Almost simultaneously and unbeknown to me the TN Republican Party sent out a message asking for opposition against a "big union, big labor" Democrat candidate in the 62nd district.
You can view their letter here: http://politics.nashvillepost.com/2009/10/07/desperate-times-call-for-desperate-fundraising-appeals/
The State Party obviously holds the idea that "big labor and big union" candidates should be defeated. Basic logic would show that if A=B and B=C then A=C. If the TN Republican Party is asking voters to vote against "big union and big labor" candidates, and Rep "Zigzag Zach" Wamp supports federal legislation for the unionization of emergency service employees, does that mean that the TN Republican Party is de facto asking voters to also vote against Rep "Zigzag-Zach" Wamp?

chrisholley1975 Memphis, TN | Zach Wamp was on local radio in Memphis the other day and took some really unpopular stances. He said that we needed to get out of the all these wars and pay more attention to home. I was impressed at many of his stances that were not very popular with the talk show host(Ben Ferguson).
Although obviously wrong on some issues, I think that this may be a guy we can work with.
Do we can any liberty candidates to put forward? |

seez52 Lebanon, TN | I would agree. I know some have trashed Mr. Wamp on mostly single issues, but after talking with him, one to one, I believe he is the best opportunity we have for someone in the governor's office. He answered my states rights questions very well and head on, not with some politicians answer. |
