smashysmashy dover, NH | It is going to be political suicide to try and stop this thing now. I think the coup's strategy to silence this is going to water it down in the senate. Be prepared for more hurdles to overcome. Well done! |

Can't wait to see if Paul Hodes has signed on yet. Thomas takes forever to update these days.

thefreeman Princeton, NJ | The house can push for an "Up and Down" vote if the bill is delayed for vote on the floor, so it will depend on the number of "Yeah" or "Nay", it may need 3/2 of the vote, or just the majority. I guess that Frank is sitting on the bill with Nancy and on the phone with Ben now. |

BaneMaler Lawrence, KS | Excellent news!
Now the hard work starts. We must ensure this doesn't die in committee. If the C4L can give us concise info on how we can ensure this happens then we will act on it. For starters we need to start calling members of the Financial Committee and focus our efforts to bring this to the agenda. Kansas Rep. Dennis Moore(D), my representative has refused to comment on this legislation since day one. I've continued to bombard his office with letters and calls to no avail. He is on the financial committee however, and it will be people like him who can make sure this never gets a single vote. C4L please lead the way in making sure this does not happen! |

SteveBierfeldt Arlington, VA | Do not celebrate guys. We need to continue pushing for the Congressman who have not yet co-sponsored. The most important thing we can do is to keep lobbying those Representatives who are still holding out.
If 218 looks like a powerful number, just imagine what 318 would look like.
We can't let up even a little bit. Nothing is guaranteed.
KEEP CALLING AND EMAILING YOUR CONGRESSMAN.
Urge those who have co-sponsored to hold to their support. And urge those who have not yet co-sponsored to do so.
DO NOT RELAX YET |

Elysiumboy Billericay, United Kingdom | Absolutely tremendous! I knew this was a sweet apple when it started, but even if the hard work is still to come, there's an incestive in the fact that these politicians have stood up and asked the question. It's now for the American people to follow up with the questions about cutting the thing to bits, but I keep getting a feeling there are many more that want this to happen, but just don't want to put their name to it.
But with 218 cosponsers, you all deserve a huge pat on the back for your efforts, my arm just ain't that long! I'm cracking open a bottle of beer to celebrate! |

I almost hope they try and gut the bill. What an excellent way to demonstrate to the American people that they have no true representation. It would be like driving a stake through the New World Orders heart! |

dddienst Lincoln Park, NJ | It don't matter how many cosigners it has if it is never recommended by the sub committee for a VOTE. Then, if it passes cause there is no rule that you cant vote against a bill you cosigned, it can be killed or mutated by the senate and THEN it needs to be signed by obama.
Welcome to the fight Ron Paul faces every year. Is it any wonder he had such skepticism at the start of his presidential race.

When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter, I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. DDDienst - you are absolutely correct in my opinion -- there is still a MUCH harder fight left in front of us ensuring this bill does NOT get castrated/mutated out of effectiveness, and actually passes the Senate as currently written -- it would be nice to have the veto-proof support in both the House and the Senate, but I won't be holding my breath for that level of support. |

NoMonarchy Monrovia, CA | Stop ALL defeatist attitudes!
We the people ALONE are THE government.
This Page is engaged in Official Business of the ONLY legal and lawful government of the USA, We the people.
This entity in WDC is (still) NOT our government.
It is NOT:
A) Of,
B) By, -- or
C) For
....We the people.
Hold every action as suspect, but accept NO defeat!
NONE! NEVER! Please!
Those within Congress must PROVE to us DAILY and HOURLY that they are ALWAYS working for us, and not for the Banksters.
NOT representing us and what is in our BEST Interests are their MANY Acts of Total Treason.
We need to get tough as nails.
This is not just our present day at stake but the futures of our children.
If you have no stake in the future, then act for those who do.
Thanks.
But above all, this is NOT our government.
It is an OPENLY Hostile, Occupational Criminal Usurper government. Seeking Total Domination OVER We the people.
In nearly each and every matter, they are seeking to pass OPENLY unlawful legislation to tie and to bind us down.
We can no longer afford to perceive ourselves as behodlen to them. They on their side, do not see themselves as beholden to us.
If they did, we would not be experiencing an ongoing Constitutional Crisis of HORRIFIC proportions!
WHAT are they following when they are NOT FOLLOWING the US Constitutional Limits? Nothing but their own vain imaginations. And Banksters whims!
They are DAILY, BREAKING THE LAW!
So far, they are a Hostile Occupational Force, seeking the Complete and total OVERTHROW of the ONLY Lawful and Legal governmental entity within the USA, and it is you and me folks, We the people, they continually seek to OVERTHROW.

Are The U.S. Senators Slaves Of The Federal Reserve?
The unConstitutional coup will now have to take the risk of being blatant with their coercion and bribes of Senators as an act of desperation.
Who are the Senators who have the dignity to expose the secret tactics applied by the unConstitutional coup? As these are brought into the open even the most corrupt Senators will be hesitant to appear to be an enemy of the people in favor of the economic terrorists.
Even if initially there are no Senators who are independent of the unConstitutional coup there will be a few who will take that path when they realize that they are being scrutinized. Let your Senators know that you are watching them very closely and will not tolerate a corrupt alliance with the money counterfeiters.

smashysmashy dover, NH | To the skeptics, pessimists and naysayers: I understand what you're saying and I agree that we still have a hard fight ahead of us. But I guarantee that anyone who tries to stop the momentum of this bill will be committing political suicide. This is truly a populist piece of legislature. VERY few constituents disagree with this bill when they learn about it. Only hardcore Keynesians and politicians who have some sort of connection to the fed want to see this stopped. Think of the ammo we will have in 2010 and 2012 when we educate people about this very simple one page bill and we show them that their current representative does not support this bill and is even taking actions to stop it.
Any credibility Pelosi had with the majority moderates is now gone since she has been showing her true colors as speaker. She is exactly who we need to stand in the way if we are going to have someone stand in the way. And Obama, Mr. Transparency himself, not signing this bill will annihilate him. In fact, I really think in the long run that an Obama veto could be the best case scenario because it would raise the general public to really start wondering about who runs this country.
No matter what we've won something. Our efforts from today forward will determine the size of our prize. |

Taika Bardstown, KY | I think they can circulate a "discharge petition" to force it out of committee. This might even keep the committee from butchering it. And the petition would succeed if all the cosponsors signed it. We need to hold the representatives feet to the fire so they don't back out, and keep trying to get the ones that haven't signed on board.
Additionally, we need to get working on the senators. I've already been gathering petitions for them, like many others apparently. Rock on CFL! |

helen in NC Summerfield, NC | Last year when I stood in the Target center in Minneapolis looking at the thousands of C4L, on their feet cheering for Congressman Ron Paul..... I knew at that moment that the power for change was in us...... "we the people".
Thank you Dr. Paul for helping all of us to waken more people to what is happening, and for not letting us foget that the direction and responsiblity for this great country lies within us...."We the People".
It is about to get REALLY interesting now!
