NH residents! Seat Belt law: it's not dead yet! CALL YOUR SENATOR *NOW*!

[Newer: Help turn THOUSANDS of NH High-schoolers on to libertarianism!] [Older: Keep our guns! No Nat'l Service! Hearing Thurs, Feb 5, 1:00 PM]

With your help, we have stalled -- but not yet killed -- a mandatory seat-belt law in NH.

The law, as it stands, would be a PRIMARY enforcement law, meaning police can pull people over and write a ticket, if they don't see a seat belt on you.

Right now the bill is "Laid on the Table", which means the nanny-staters didn't have enough votes to pass it, but they think they can get enough votes with some back-room dealing.

We're down to the brass tacks on this! The side with the most gumption is going to be the side that wins. If it passes, and you didn't do EVERYTHING in your power to stop it, will you be able to live with yourself?

Call your Senator NOW and tell them, a primary seat belt law is NOT right for New Hampshire!

This is a really good idea. You might as well call the governor also just in case something happens with this.

John Lynch's number is 603 271 2121. Just leave a message if no one picks up.

OK folks, good news! We defeated this bill but look for it to return in 2011. Until then, let's continue to organize and fight for freedom.

I'm Relieved to hear that it was defeated, if at least until 2011. =)
